The Stands

Elliot was excited to get to see more Quidditch games this year, and extra excited since Lars made the Ravenclaw team. Shuffling into what he hoped would be a good spot near the Ravenclaw goal, Elliot mumbled a few hurried excuse me's as he passed some other spectators. Once he was settled, he pulled out the small Ravenclaw pennant he'd made the night before, ready to cheer them on for Lars' sake. He'd been practicing making the writing flash and change colors after making a Hufflepuff banner last year, and spent most of last night work on this one after Lars told him he'd made the Ravenclaw team.
Last he'd heard though, Lars was an alternate, so Elliot was surprised when the whistle blew and he watched Lars, somewhat nervously, mount up and launch into the air. "Woo, go Lars!"

Kace is very familiar with how the game quidditch was played. His father worked for the American League and his cousin was a famous quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies. Danielle played keeper, from what Kace has seen so far from his cousin, she was a great player. Quidditch wasn't probably for him, but maybe that may change for him today. Kace sat in the Gryffindor's stand with a small house flag waving in his hands, shouting from the top of his lungs all kinds of noise. "Let's get it Gryffindor! Ayoooooooooo! We the best!" He cracked his big, famous smile. This was his first game, he had no idea if Gryffindor were great, the boy just knows how to be the hype one in the crowd. "Oooooooh snap, and she scored!" Kace calls out, hooting and hollering some more.

Jasper had enjoyed going to the matches last year, but this year it was even more important. As a part of the Slytherin team, Jasper felt like he needed to see how the other houses played. He thought attending the games would be a good idea, so he made his way up the stands so he could see everything that was happening. Unfortunately, he hadn't thought to come a little early, so he had to elbow his way past some people for a good spot. Eventually he ended up near the Ravenclaw hoops, where he spotted a familiar face. It was Lily's friend, Ethan? Evan? He knew it was something that started with an E. "Hey!" He said to the boy, grinning as he munched on a cookie. "Rooting for Ravenclaw? Why?" Jasper didn't really care who won the match, as his own house wasn't playing. His cousin's house was, but she wasn't on the team so he didn't really think it that important to root for Gryffindor for her sake.

@Elliot Briar

Charlotte her houseteam didn't played and whey they played she didn't went yelling or something for them because her half-sister Odette played and she didn't liked the girl. Perhaps next year she could try and join the team. She could use that anger in playing as a beater perhaps. She wanted to slam that bludger to many people right now. One of them her head of house, Diana, her half sister Odette and the list went on. She knew Simon played and took a seat at the stand and looked. Simon wasn't playing well so far and that wasn't nice for him, but Charlotte had to grin for a moment. Perhaps she could beat him next year. But they had to play the same position than. The blonde still hoped that Ravenclaw would win though. Gryffindor always seemed really well, but their seeker was out so that gave hope.

Noel was so excited to watch the game and took a seat at the stands and went sitting next to a Gryffindor boy who was screaming for Gryffindor. Noel smiled to him. '' Go Gryffindor!!!'' He yelled along. And cheered as his house scored. He than noticed his cousin Gabriel flying and thought it was cool to see him. The brown haired boy than cheered. '' Go Gabriel!!!!!!!'' And smiled. He than looked at the Gryffindor boy next to him. He seemed a bit older. '' Hi I'm Noel. Do you think we are gonna win?'' The boy asked. He made a painfull face as the seeker from Gryffindor got hit three times. He hoped the girl would catch the snitch for them though now.

Sophie told herself she was only here for research for the paper. She wasn't sure yet who would take over the Quidditch portion of the issue, but if no one stepped up, she knew she would have to do it. That was why she was here, with a notebook. There was no other reason for her to watch the game. It was her own house playing against Gryffindor, and Sophie was sitting at a high spot in the stands with a notebook on her lap. She didn't really care about Quidditch, and knew she had to take notes on what was happening because she would forget otherwise. The bludgers seemed very active this game, and it wasn't long until the Gryffindor seeker was taken out of the match. That was something to add to the story for the paper. Sophie glanced at Gabriel who was flying after one of the female chasers. She wondered if he ever worried about the bludgers, or if he wasn't scared of them hitting him. Sophie wouldn't like being that high up in the air with bludgers flying around, but she had never gotten the appeal of Quidditch. With a start, she realized she had been mindlessly tracking Gabriel's movements while lost in thought, and she angrily forced herself to look at something else, anything else. She scribbled a random detail down in her notebook, feeling more and more like she was losing track of her own mind. Why was Gabriel constantly catching her attention? It was getting irritating, and alarming as well.

Kace shrugs and smiles at the boy who was just as hype and enthusiastic about the game as he was. "I have no idea, it's my first game! Dang! They took out the seeker," Kace winced like he felt the impact of the hits. He wouldn't want to be that seeker, he left the pitch in terrible shape. "Boooooo! That's foul ref," Kace gave a thumbs down. Kace didn't think it was fair to take out the seeker just yet, he has seen worst in professional games where the seeker stayed in longer. "I'm Kace, is Gabriel your cousin or something?" Kace would ask, taking a break from heckling the referee. It was fun to be out in the stand and be able to watch the whole game go down. He wouldn't know if joining the team will be the same thing, but if there was one position he wouldn't mind trying out for, it was beater. Or keeper like his cousin, Kace wouldn't make up his mind just yet.

It was disappoint when Lars missed the shot, Elliot commiserating with the miserable slump of Lars' shoulders as Gryffindor scored. "You'll get the next one!" He yelled, hoping Lars could hear him over the crowd somehow. It was his first game, he was sure Lars just needed to get his nerves out first. The game continued on, and Elliot winced when the Gryffindor seeker was taken out, eying the bludgers nervously. Bludgers were just a normal part of quidditch, but they suddenly seemed a whole lot scarier when it was one of his friends on the pitch with them.

Caught up in the game, Elliot didn't notice Jasper until the boy was settling in next to him, almost not realizing he was being addressed. "Oh hey, Jasper," he said, offering him a quick smile. "My friend Lars is on the Ravenclaw team," He nodded towards Lars where he was circling the goalposts, giving his pennant an enthusiastic wave when he saw Lars turn and spot him with a little wave of his own. "See, the keeper," He said, happily.

Holding his breath as Gryffindor approached Lars and the goal again, Elliot whooped loudly when Lars successfully saved the shot, that was more like it. "Keep it up, Lars!"

@Jasper Night

It had been fun to cheer on Lars in the Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor match, but Elliot was even more excited for his own house to play, happy to grab a good spot and work on spreading out the banner he and Lars had made last year. It had looked a little worse for wear this morning after spending the holidays stuffed in the bottom of his trunk, but a quick reparo here and there had fixed it up well enough.
The game kicked off and Elliot had to wince as the teams quickly exchanged bludgers, but cheered as Hufflepuff kept possession, crossing his fingers as the chasers approached the hoops.

Adorah made her way into the stands in her Ravenclaw robes. It was the first game she had attended all year, but she figured she should try to enjoy what seemed to be a very popular magical pastime. She had read Quidditch Through the Ages and a few other books to understand the basics of the game. It was a little complicated at first, but she believed she had gotten it down enough to follow what would happen today. Sitting by herself in the stands, she took a seat on the front row near the center of the pitch. She wasn't quite sure where the optimal seats were, but seeing as everyone would be flying in various directions, she supposed it depended upon the game. She watched as students rose on their brooms into the air and looked forward to the match ahead.

It was a shame that Hufflepuff was out of the running for the Quidditch cup, but as Elliot shuffled his way to a spot in the stands, he still hoped they would win at least one game this year. Keeping an eye out for Kace, or or maybe one of his housemates, Elliot was a little surprised to spot Adorah, who he'd run into over the holidays, sitting nearby. Sitting next to her, he hoped it wouldn't be too awkward, but even someone he knew vaguely was better than being totally alone, and he'd enjoyed talking to her last time as well.
"Hey again, mind if I join you?" He said, giving his Hufflepuff banner a weak wave. It had seemed a bit much to bring the banner for a third place game, but it didn't feel right to leave it behind, so along it came. It was still a bit unwieldy for one person, but Elliot did his best not to crumple it or take up too much room. "Who're you cheering for?" He asked Adorah, nodding at her Ravenclaw robes.
Elliot paused the conversation briefly as the game began, giving a cheer as Hufflepuff immediately gained possession of the quaffle. He kept a close eye on the Gryffindor seeker though, fearing a repeat of last time. "If I had to pick a winner for cup, I'd have to go with Ravenclaw, especially after the last game we had with Slytherin." He said gamely.

Jatin was ecstatic for this Quidditch game. He wanted to see Gryffindor win, and he was excited to see Syrus play this game. He still had yet to bother the seventh year for Quidditch lessons. He had a poster just with Syrus and Willow's names on it, and the poster had taken forever to make by himself. Kishen had not wanted to help him make the poster with magic, so he had been all on his own. Jatin was looking for a seat and he saw Elliot. He quickly waved at his peer before sitting next to him. He made sure to keep his eyes on the game with them wide with anticipation.

Amaya made her way to the stands. She had never bothered with Quidditch before, and she still didn't care much for it. But Abian cared for it. She took an empty seat. She folded her legs. She doubted that anyone would bother talking to her, but that was fine. She gave a small smile and waved to Abian as his gaze turned her way. She wasn't sure if he saw her, but that was fine. She would catch him after the game.

Kauri didn't make it to every Quidditch match, the altitude of the stands had always made him kind of nervous, but there were certain times he made sure to be there, important matches for his friends. Kauri always secretly hated it when Hufflepuff played Gryffindor... he had friends in all houses, but his best friend was on the Hufflepuff team, and Kauri never knew which team he should root for. He had settled for wearing all of his Gryffindor gear but carrying a borrowed Hufflepuff flag, waving it in the air excitedly as the game began. "GO APRIL, GO NORTON!" He called out, eager to cheer on his friends even if they wouldn't hear. "GO MARCOS, GO GABRIEL!"

Amy made her way up to the stands, excited to watch her first match. She didn't make the previous ones, but waited until Hufflepuff played again. She chose a spot and waved to Elliot and Adorah. She watched the match, not really knowing what to look out for. She cheered for Hufflepuff when they tried to score, but they missed. This is a lot more exciting than I thought it would be! she thought.

Leda had never come to the stands before, instead she was usually out on the pitch herself playing for Slytherin. The fifth year ignored those that were already cheering and took a seat by herself, watching to see how the match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff was playing out. She didn’t care for either team, although she would have loved to see Syrus and Willow get destroyed by the badgers, perhaps it wouldn’t stop them being so confident. Leda really wanted to see how the seekers were playing though. Was there something she was missing? She had played both Syrus and April before in her own matches, but it was different when she could watch from afar.

October was trying hard not to think about her own upcoming Quidditch match. The thought that she could easily finish her school Quidditch career by failing in front of the entire school was almost too much to bear. Slytherin's last victory had been ridiculous, and considering how long it had taken her to find the snitch against Gryffindor, October was outright dreading the championship match. So it was a relief to have someone else's match to take her mind off it. October desperately wanted to see April win, and had decked herself out fully in Hufflepuff supporter gear as she took to the Hufflepuff stands with Matt, watching in excitement as April took off. October had never really appreciated Quidditch until she played it for herself, but there was something so exhilarating about even just watching a match. October wasn't the type to jump and shout, but she waved her Hufflepuff flag high, hoping the support would somehow give April the luck she needed to win the game.

Leda was watching Hufflepuff fail miserably, something they couldn’t let happen if they didn’t want Gryffindor to win. Maybe if their Chasers could actually get the Quaffle in the hoops they’d be better off. In the corner of her eye, Leda spotted another student, and her eyes instantly narrowed at October. She would be the person that stood between Slytherin and their victory this year, but the fifth year had no intention of letting that happen. It didn’t matter if she was Head Girl, she and her other blue friends were going down.

Elliot was a little surprised with Jatin sat down with him, and returned the wave a little awkwardly with his free hand. Jatin was a friend of Ren's he thought, but seemed to have also adopted Elliot as a friend too now it seemed. He also spotted Amy sit down nearby as well, and gave her another wave and wiggled his Hufflepuff banner in support.
He was going to say something to the new arrivals, but was distracted when Hufflepuff retook possession after missing the goal, standing up in anticipation as their chaser neared the goals and letting out a cheer as Hufflepuff made it onto the scoreboard first.

The idea of a sport played on brooms was still pretty wild to Sully, and he'd been itching to try it himself ever since he'd heard about it. Still, watching other people play was still pretty sweet, and Sully early waded through the crowd as the game started, looking for a good spot. It had been a mission to get up into the stands, though he supposed you had to be high up to watch a sport in the air. Spotting Jatin, Sully made his way over to his roommate and dropped in next to him. "Hey, did I miss much?" He said, peering out at the game and wincing in sympathy when their chaser lost possession, only for one of their other team members to get slammed with a bludger. He thought rugby was a serious contact sport, but at least the ball wasn't out for blood.

Adorah looked up at Elliot and gave him a smile. "Of course you can sit here," she said, patting the spot beside her. When he asked her who she was cheering for, she shrugged. "I'm not sure. This is my first Quidditch game. Maybe I'll cheer with you for Hufflepuff is that's okay?" She gave a loud whooping noise as she saw a Hufflepuff fly past her and giggled. It was unlike her to be loud like that, but everyone was being loud. Suddenly, a lot of people started joining the stands near them. They all seemed to know each other in some way or another, and Adorah began to draw back into herself, as she wasn't comfortable with making friends at the moment.

Jatin was having a difficult time keeping up with the game. He only knew the positions, and he did not know any of the rules yet. He saw Sully come over and he shook his head at the boy's question. "It's just confusing a little bit, even though much isn't going on." he told Sully. He took his eyes off the game and looked at Sully. "Do you want to hold my sign with me?" he asked as he offered one side of the sign to his roommate.
