Eleanor was very excited for the next Wild Patch Club Event. She had enjoyed the Pride Event last year as her sister had inspired her to do it and this year she wanted to make it better. She made sure to put up posters around the school, catching everyone's attention to attend the event. Many people showed up last year but she hoped she'd see more first years this time as they could take a look at the club and hopefully want to join. After all, this was Ellie's second last event before she had to leave the school and she wanted to know that the younger students would carry on with the club after she left.

The Queen of Flowers showed up to the Great Hall early, setting up the stalls and spreading glitter all over the tables in an attempt to add something different to the display. She then put up pride banners around the room that were the colours of the rainbow, adding even more colour with flowers from the Wild Patch that she made sure to place around the whole room. Additionally, colourful vines hung loosely on the walls and flags with the different sexualities were displayed proudly around the room. At her stall sat brouchers with information about LGBTQ and the Wild Patch and how proud the Wild Patch was to be supporting gay rights. She hoped that the event would make people feel comfortable with who they were as she sat with her basket of flower crowns beside her, a wide smile on her face as she waited for people to arrive.

OOCOut of Character:
Welcome to another Wild Patch Club Event! Feel free to RP your character going around and doing any of the activities or being apart of any of the stalls. Also, feel free to ask questions if you feel the need to do so.

Contrary to the nervous curiosity with which she had approached her first pride event, Ainsley had been looking forward to the celebration this year. It was wonderfully freeing to go somewhere that celebrated people like her, and where she could guarantee that she wasn't alone in her feelings. And this year she was bringing Amber with her, not as a supportive friend, but as her girlfriend, something that the Ainsley of a year ago never would have dreamed she would get to experience. It was almost scary how much life could change so quickly.

Amber's hand was warm in Ainsley's as they made their way into the Great Hall together, some of the first to arrive. Ainsley wasn't surprised - she had wanted to be early, in case Eleanor needed help with anything. Looking around the room as they entered, Ainsley gasped happily. "Oh, look! Everything is so pretty!" She said happily, staring around at the bright decorations. It was strange, how something so intimidating when she was younger could feel so welcoming now, standing here with her girlfriend's hand clasped in her own.

Amber had gone to Pride only once, in the previous year. Back then she had only gone to support Ainsley, as she was still feeling guilty for how she had reacted to her friend's coming out to her. It had been strange and sort of scary, which she hadn't understood back then but did understand now. As she walked in now, with Ainsley's hand in hers, she still felt a little like an impostor. Surely this wasn't really for her, she was still too new at all this.

But the sight of Ainsley's smile made her feel more at ease, and she smiled back at her girlfriend. The great hall really did look nice. "We should give Eleanor our compliments." She said, squeezing her hand. "She clearly put a lot of work in. Though I'm sure you and the others in Wild Patch helped."

Since it was her first year at Hogwarts in New Zealand, Olive had her eyes peeled for activities and events that stood out, especially those that didn't take place at her own school in Scotland. She'd seen the posters and decided to take a trip to the Great Hall, after all everything she'd seen so far had been beautifully displayed in the castle, from Halloween and Yule Ball to the events during Valentines, and she was curious to see what the Wild Patch Club would be putting together. Olive wanted to show her support for each and every student, and she was pleased to see that the students were using their initiatives to bring everyone together. The Potions professor overheard one of the students compliments, and she turned her red head towards a student she recognised. "Everyone's done a wonderful job here," she agreed, before moving through the stalls to see what was on offer.

Hayley had gone to Pride for the first time last year with an attitude of curiosity. Now, she was confident in her sexuality and eager to experience it at a celebration of who she was. Even if she was still upset about Harley, she wasn't going to think about that today. Today was a day to be bold and positive and quash any negative feelings under a pile of rainbows and glitter. Hayley had already acquired a collection of Pride badges with which to adorn her denim jacket, and although the rainbows and flowers all around weren't her usual aesthetic, she would embrace them today.

Unusually for her, Hayley was actually early to the Pride event, and only a handful of other people were there. Fortunately, two of those people were Ainsley and Amber, hand in hand. Hayley felt a pang of jealousy, but she didn't let it show in her face as she greeted them. "Hi, guys! How's it going?"

Usually, when his mother told him that something was cool, Jacob was determined to avoid it. He occasionally regretted this, but for the most part, it had helped him avoid some very boring events. Only because she'd reassured him that she wouldn't enter if she saw him already inside and because he'd seen tons of posters promoting the event and was quite curious, Jacob found himself entering the Great Hall for the pride event. He'd thought a lot about what Tristan had told him on their first day of tutoring and wondered if he'd see the boy here today.

With his hands in his pocket, Jacob began to stroll around taking everything in. And there was a lot to take in, he realized. From flags he didn't know the meaning of to glitter making every table sparkle to students he glanced at curiously to see their interest. Jacob was overwhelmed but not so much that he wanted to run away. He slowed, approaching a stall and looking at the information on display there.

James had attended every pride event that had occurred during his time at the school. Though he identified as straight (though some of his previous actions would cast doubt on that) he always tried to support those who identified otherwise anyway he could. That and he considered Eleanor a friend and wanted to support the event she was putting on. James made his way into the Great hall and headed straight over to Eleanor. "Ellie hey, everything looks amazing,"

After Valentines, Pride was Lizzie's favourite part of the year. She only wished Archie could have stayed a Professor long enough to join her this year. She always sort of expected him to be there after her first couple of pride events, as though he was just a required part of the festivities. Lizzie was going to celebrate to the fullest though, and had already painted bright rainbows on her cheeks before heading down to the event itself, excited for the event. Although Lizzie still hadn't told her sister she had been getting less and less careful about hiding her identity, figuring that Caro cared so little about Lizzie that she probably wouldn't even notice Lizzie kissing a girl right in front of her. There was no sense in hiding from someone who didn't care about her, so why not be open instead.

A little giddy with excitement, Lizzie made her way into the great hall happily, looking around at the decorations. They were excellent as ever, and really put Lizzie in the spirit of the event. There weren't a ton of people here yet but Lizzie spotted James on her way in, giving the captain a friendly wave before her eyes fell on a couple of familiar faces. Ones Lizzie had never expected to see together. Lizzie paused for a moment, weighing her distaste for Amber against her curiosity about seeing Hayley here. The girl had been fun to hang out with on the pitch the other day, and Lizzie couldn't help but wonder whether she was simply here to be supportive, or...? Curiosity winning out, Lizzie approached the group and gave Hayley a friendly nudge. "Hey guys, how's my 'lil protegee doing?" She asked cheerfully, ruffling Hayley's hair. "Hi Ainsley, Amber." She added to the other two, not wanting to be rude. She didn't really know anything about Ainsley, other than that she seemed to be permanently attached to Amber, which made her a person Lizzie was quite happy not to know anything about.

Nixon was not sure what a pride event was, but knowing there was something going on in the great hall made him attend for the sake of it. He loved being in the loop of happenings in the school because of the hogwarts monthly and because he would feel left out otherwise, especially if something particularly exciting happened and students kept talking about it for weeks. So he headed to the great hall when the event began, looking upon a sea of flowers, glitter and bright colours. On his way around he picked up a nearby flower crown and placed it on his head in an effort to fit in to the crowd. He smiled as he continued to walk but mostly kept to himself. When he spotted one of the prefects from his house he approached them, looking over the table where she stood and spotting a brochure about the event itself. He picked it up and began reading, realizing more about the event he had just walked into. Equality and supporting other students was what Nixon stood for and if this was what the wild patch was about, he definitely wanted to be part of it. He turned over the brochure and continued to read, soon seeing the different identities that were listed and pursing his lips in thought.

Arvel hadn't really planned on going to the pride event. He'd seen the advertisements, but as far as he was concerned, they were not aimed at him. Yet for some reason or another, they had piqued his curiosity, and when the day of the event came, the Hufflepuff found himself drawn toward the great hall, where glittery banners and flowers and flags had been hung up everywhere, and a number of students were already gathered to talk to one another. Arvel cringed inwardly, but didn't back immediately out of the door. Instead, he wandered over to a table and picked up a leaflet, feeling increasingly uncomfortable the longer he stood there. The leaflets weren't much help, either; after reading through one, Arvel still didn't really know which bits applied to him - if any. Maybe he shouldn't have come, after all.

Pride was one of Aeon's favourite events of the year, one that had never been around when he was a teenager. The closest thing to any sort of LGBT gathering the wizard had attended in his youth were Australia's Mardi Gras parades, at which point he'd already just graduated from Hogwarts and was practically starting adulthood. Pride would have been nice to have had back when he was young, and had no clue about who he was, or what he was doing. Thankfully he'd had Brodie in his life to help him learn more about himself. Who knew where he'd be now if he hadn't, or if he'd even be comfortable, or proud of his sexuality. It was a different time then, not as bad as the world had once been, but still not quite as accepting as it was today. Students dating whoever they wanted was way, way more commonplace now than it had ever been during his time as a student. A lot had changed.

Summers entered the Great Hall sporting a magically enchanted, gradually colour-changing jacket for the event. Rainbows had become a little too obnoxious for him as he got older, he'd seen more than enough by now, and so he preferred the more subtler style he'd gone with the past few times he'd come to the school's Pride. It seemed he'd arrived somewhat early, noting not too many people had arrived yet, and the professor made a beeline for the only other adult he could see, picking up a flower crown on the way over. "Hey, Olive. Hows it going? Enjoying Pride?" Should he have been calling her Professor Layton in front of the kids? Who cared. Its not like the children were going to be interested enough in whatever the adults were talking about when there was so much else to do in the hall.

Before Amber could lead Ainsley over to where Eleanor was, they were approached by Hayley. The memory of seeing Hayley and Ainsley kiss, even if it had been largely an accident. Just thinking back on it made a possesive feeling grab a hold of her, and she squeezed Ainsley's hand a little tighter. She smiled at Hayley, though. "Hi Hayley, nice to see you." She said, glancing at her clothes. "I like your jacket." It was true. It wasn't her style, but she appreciated the aesthetic and could tell the Slytherin had put a lot of effort into it. But her smile fell away when she noticed Lizzie Taylor appeared. She looked at the girl coldly, though it was soon clear she wasn't here for them. "Lizzie." She said curtly, nodding. "C'mon Ainsley, let's go look around more." She then said, tugging at her hand. Lizzie was a frustrating person, and Amber would prefer not to be around her at such a happy event. She glanced at Hayley, trying to convey that she could join them if she didn't want to stay with this annoying girl. Though the two seemed friendly.

Hayley smiled at Amber; she was still detecting a certain coldness from the Hufflepuff, but she could understand her being possessive of Ainsley when the two of them had so recently started dating. "I like your outfit, too." She didn't really, Amber's style was very far from hers, but Hayley was prepared to be polite and careful around Amber for Ainsley's sake. She noticed Lizzie approaching, and her smile turned more genuine. It hadn't occurred to Hayley that she might see her here, but her presence and the rainbow painted on her cheek left Hayley feeling oddly . . . hopeful. That wasn't an emotion she'd felt much of since Harley's revelation, and it took her some time to identify it. By the time she had, Lizzie was already talking. "Hi Lizzie!" she replied cheerfully. "Oi-" she began, insulted by every part of 'lil protegee' . . . but then, none of it was technically inaccurate. And she couldn't even think of a good comeback, and Amber and Ainsley were leaving with Amber looking rather hostile towards Lizzie. What was going on? Gosh, her snark game was slipping lately. "You two go ahead," she said to Amber, not wanting to interfere with their day and far more curious to talk to Lizzie. "What was all that about?"

Olive wasn't really sure what it was she supposed to be looking at, or whether there was any particularly order she should have been going in, but quite content with wandering around the stalls and seeing what activities were on offer had the Potions professor content and amused. Upon hearing her name, the red head turned in the direction of a Professor she'd yet to meet, or be fully introduced to. That didn't stop her smiling politely, a brief nod in his direction. "Hi. It's Aeon right? Summers?" she asked, noting the unusual jacket he was wearing and wondering if that had been purchased somewhere as conveniently as Brightstone, or if it were from somewhere more sophisticated. "I think so. I've never attend an event like this before, but, I can't lie I think they've done a wonderful job of transforming the hall, as always." she added, noting more students enter the room in the corner of her eye. "I would have hoped my sister would have been here.." she trailed off for a moment, "Would be nice for her to get out and meet more friends I suppose." Leda was always hanging around with the one Gryffindor boy, and while she appreciated that there was at least one person in the school that tolerated her sister, it worried her that she didn't have particularly great social skills and coming to an event like this would have done her good. "What about you? You seem to have come more prepared than me!" she replied, wondering whether she should have picked up a crown on the way in.

Walking around hand in hand with Amber like this still felt wonderful, and the atmosphere all around them filled Ainsley with energy and good spirits. She nodded in response to Amber's suggestion to give Eleanor their compliments. "That's a good idea." Ainsley said, beginning to head that way. Before they could get far though, they were approached, and Ainsley was distracted from her goal by a friend she had been worrying about recently. "Hayley!" She smiled, giving the younger girl a quick one armed hug. "I'm good! How have you been?" She was a little uncertain about asking in front of Amber, she knew they didn't know each other too well, and didn't want to make the conversation uncomfortable, but it would feel heartless not to ask at all.

Ainsley didn't know the other girl who approached them very well, but it quickly became clear to her that Amber was uncomfortable. Ainsley didn't really know all of the details of Amber's social circle - just that it was much bigger than her own - but when Amber suddenly seemed to want to leave very fast she didn't protest, giving Hayley a farewell wave and wandering off with Amber. "Are you alright?" She asked, not entirely sure what had just happened.

Lizzie had been entirely prepared to put up with Amber's presence for the sake of finding out more about why Hayley was here, but to her delight it didn't last long at all, and Amber was walking away, hand in hand with her... girlfriend? Well, now Lizzie both couldn't stand her and was a little jealous. Perfect. Trying not to think about it, she gave Amber and Ainsley a friendly wave as they left, not wanting to be rude. "See you guys!" She said cheerfully, relieved that the pair was gone and she could talk to Hayley properly. Getting a better look at the younger girl, Lizzie was even more heartened to note the pride badges on Hayley's jacket. That was... a good sign, and she found herself looking at the Slytherin in a new, slightly hopeful light. She laughed off Hayley's question, shaking her head. "Don't worry about it. Amber and I don't get along that well, old issues." Smiling, she quickly changed the subject, not wanting to think about Amber any more right now. "So, uh... girls, huh?" She grinned, gesturing to one of Hayley's pins. It certainly wasn't the clearest sentence she had ever put together, but Lizzie wanted to get right to the point when it came to her curiosity about the other girl.

The appearance of some new and old faces made Eleanor smile. It felt great for the event to attract some new people, and she beamed as she watched a couple of younger boys walk towards the brochures and start reading them. "Would you like a flower crown?" she offered, picking up the basket and gesturing it towards them. A large one sat on the top of her head and she was happy to show off her flower crown making skills to everyone. As she saw James approach her, she smiled at him too as he complimented the event. "Hey James! Thank you! It's good of you to come and check it out." she said. "Would you like a flower crown?" Ellie took one of the colourful flower crowns out of the basket and held it out to him, hoping he would wear it to further support the event.

Landon had been at the school for quite some time now, but the man had never really attended any of the extracurricular events. He had been far too busy looking after the plants in the greenhouses, and the thought of attending any events that he didn't have to had always slipped his mind. As the professor was walking back to his office from meal time the day before, he noticed a poster indicating that there would be a pride event on the next day, and with plenty of time, Landon decided he would go. After all, he felt that it was his duty to support others and was curious to see exactly what it was all about. As he entered the Great Hall, he was not disappointed. A lot of effort had clearly gone into each and every stall and Landon was eager to congratulate each and every member of the Wild patch club that had put it together. All of the flowers looked wonderful and Landon could not be anymore proud of them. This made him very eager to check out the Hogwarts Gardens one day, but for now he walked around the Great Hall, smiling at people as he walked by. He admired the informative brochures as students beside him spoke.

After the pride event last year, Lilyanna was not surprised when she heard that there was another one this year, despite the fact that she didn't see the point. The Slytherin felt quite special last year as she was the main inspiration for it, but she was still a bit baffled as to why Eleanor wanted to do it again. It was just going to be the same thing. Nonetheless, Lilyanna still felt as though she should go. She didn't want to be one of the first to walk into the Great Hall and so she waited it out a bit, deciding to enter the Great Hall a few minutes later despite her hared for tardiness. When she walked into the Great Hall, she firstly started looking around for Tholomyes, knowing that he would be at the face painting stall just like he was last time. But when Lilyanna had trouble looking for him, she wasn't really sure what to do. The face painting stall was not where it was last year and it made Lilyanna wonder if there was still even one. The thought of this worried Lilyanna and she wanted to go back to her dormitory and get Diane. Diane would help make her feel comfortable, but she couldn't leave now. She had no choice but to walk up to her sister who was unsurprisingly already occupied with an older friend. Luckily, a professor stood nearby reading the brochures and Lilyanna pretended to be occupied with them too, waiting for her sister to finish talking.

Hayley returned Ainsley's hug enthusiastically, but when her friend asked how she was she didn't know what to say. She couldn't lie to Ainsley, but she couldn't be honest in front of Amber. "I've been okay, I guess," she said, an awkward compromise that didn't give too much away but hopefully signalled subtly that okay wasn't really the right word.

But then Ainsley and Amber were walking away, and she was left alone with Lizzie. She shrugged. "Fair. I don't know her that well, honestly, I'm more friends with Ainsley." Hayley didn't want to say that her only true encounter with Amber had been weirdly passive-aggressive, but she certainly didn't want to give the impression that she was friends with someone Lizzie didn't like. That would not be a good start. A start to what? Hayley didn't know. Hayley chuckled in response to Lizzie's clumsy enquiry, but she had to agree. "Hell f***ing yes, girls. And, uh. You?"

Amber glanced behind her to see Hayley and Lizzie talking together. A small part of her brain was glad two problems were solved in one go, but then she felt a little bad. It wasn't reasonable to be jealous of Hayley, though it was reasonable to dislike that stupid girl Lizzie as far as she was concerned. She glanced at her girlfriend and shrugged. "Lizzie and I don't get along, she's rude." She said with a huff. It was silly to still have this dislike between because of something that happened in her first year, but the other girl also seemed fine with continuing their mutual dislike. She smiled at Ainsley. "You look like you could use a flower crown." She said, putting the subject behind them. She dragged Ainsley over to the stall where Eleanor was. "Eleanor! The decorations are beautiful. Good job!" She said excitedly, still holding Ainsley's hand tight in her own.

Diane had waited until Lilyanna left before she made for her trunk and dug out the flower crown she got during last years pride event. She wasn't a big fan of the events, they just weren't her kind of thing but she knew what the event had meant to her girlfriend the previous year and while Lilyanna was under the impression Diane wasn't going she wanted to show up to support her. After taking a little time to straighten out the somewhat squashed flower crown she put it on her head and made her way down to the Great hall.

The Great hall was beautifully decorated as it had the previous year, she would have to congratulate Eleanor when she saw her but her main priority was to track down her girlfriend. She found her stood near a Professor and it looked like she was pretending to be occupied. A cheeky smile creeped across her face as she maneuvered round the room until she was behind Lilyanna and was able to sneak up behind her. "Guess who," She whispered in her ear.

Lilyanna knew that Eleanor was not going to stop talking to people anytime soon as it seemed that more and more people were coming to congratulate her on exactly the same thing as last year. Nonetheless, Lilyanna still waited patiently, picking up a pamphlet on LGBTQ and opening it up to read what was inside. All of the different types of sexual orientations definitely became confusing after a while but she still continued to read it nonetheless, suddenly interested in what each of them were. When Lilyanna heard a voice in her ear she smiled slightly, knowing instantly who it was. Lilyanna would not allow any other person to whisper in her ear like that. She turned around, beaming at the sight of her girlfriend. "Diane." she said, a smile on her face. "I thought you weren't coming... I like the flower crown." Lilyanna gestured to the flower crown on Diane's head, having remembered Diane getting one last year. She hadn't seen it since then and it looked good on her head.

Theo couldn't believe he was running late for the pride celebration. He had been a part of it since the very beginning and this was his last ever pride celebration at the school. He walked into the great hall, and waved an apology at her. He had been so lost in his studying for the NEWTs that he had completely lost track of time. It had just slipped away from him. He took his seat at the face painting table and quickly got started. He would miss these celebrations that was for sure. He would miss the ability to face paint even if it was a little silly. He knew that it wasn't the most interesting part of the celebration and almost anyone could do it, but Theo not being LGBT always though it was a good way for him to be able to give back, to be a good ally. Helping out and doing good. He smiled as the first person sat down and he began painting their face. He would enjoy his last pride celebration. He hoped that he might see Emma at this celebration, and they would be able to do this together. But he would just be happy to help.

Ares walked into the great hall, really excited about this pride celebration. He hadn't gotten the chance to help much with it, but he walked over to Ellie and smiled at her, "hey Ellie!" he greeted warmly, he was always happy with how great the hall looked, "You've done a great job!" he said, as he picked up a flower crown and put it on his head, a smile on his face. It was always a good celebration and he made sure to enjoy it. The teen had been out for a good few years, growing increasingly confident in what he was and who he was. he had always been around other people who'd been supportive and confident, but he himself was just happy to be a part of the day. Be out and proud for others. He would enjoy everything this place had to offer. The festivities this place had to offer. He'd go get his face painted and enjoy himself plenty in this room.
