Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y40/S2

Leonardo threw the ball as he got close and was disppointed to miss and seemingly throw it right at the keeper.
 
René managed to catch the quaffle more with his chest than his arms, but he blocked the shot non the less, shuffling it into his hands to throw it back out.
 
Connor let out a loud grunt of pain when a bludger struck him, blinking back tears as he turned to give Tilly a thumbs up. He chased after the bludger, hoping to send it back at his fellow Beater, but his shot flew wide and he missed, hitting Blair instead. "YOU OKAY?" He called out to the Chaser.

Still enjoying the thrill from her last bludger, Tilly slapped another into @Lucas Ames.

René watched Tilly and Connor knock bludgers around, his own hands itching for a bat, though whether it was to join in or just for protection he wasn't sure.
 
Leonardo was able to get the ball and began circling back to be able to score.
 
Blair wanted to grab the Quaffle but the bludger hit her side, the pain making her teeth get pressed together and making her swear in Russian quietly again. "ABSOLUTELY!" she called back to the captain who exactly hit her with the bludger. after the hit, she just fastly got back to the game and followed Leo.
 
Tilly hoped Lucas was OK. She tried to hit another bludger at Jordie, just to keep him on his toes, but it went off course and hit @Leonardo Orr instead.

bludger so powerful it crossed to another continent

Lucas grunted in pain when he was hit by a bludger again. He wasn't having any luck today.
 
Leonardo got close to the hoops and as he threw the ball, the bludger hit him hard on the back, very close to where the first had hit him. He groaned and wasn't surprised that the ball fumbled and fell short of where it needed to go.
 
Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in, but stopped to check on the other chaser. "Leo! Leo, you alright?" Jordie flew over to the boy and reached out a hand, worry clear on his face. @Leonardo Orr

((Lucas Ames was eating lunch in Ilvermorny when a bludger bust through the window and knocked him off his seat and onto the floor. He lay there, dazed, wondering what the hell just happened.))
 
Tilly smacked the bludger that had come all the way back across the ocean and cracked it right towards @Jordan Harris. Now, if she could only keep up this momentum for the game against Gryffindor...

Tilly was hitting people left and right. At least someone was having a good practice.
 
Jordie left Leo and looped back around, yelping when the bludger hit him. He tried for another feint and smiled as it worked.
 
Leonardo was quite surprised when Jordan came to check if he was okay. He nodded, and gave a quick, "yes sir," and then flew next to him as he then managed to score, though, not unlike Leo had managed to also get hit just before it. Leonardo caught the ball as it was thrown back out and did glance over towards Jordan as to see if he was equally okay.
 
Moving back to defence for now, Tilly decided to take a break from breaking her teammates.
 
Connor was relieved to see Tilly hit her stride, ever impressed by how well his co-beater played. He hung back for a bit, just observing the rest of the team, pleased to see there weren't really any pointers he needed to hand out. The team were playing well, and he was proud to see it.
 
Tilly was happy with how beat up the Hufflepuff team was looking. She did have to admit to herself that she was pretty tired.
 
Tilly was really laying into the chasers and René couldn't help but think she was maybe trying to give him a hand. It didn't work out with Jordie's next shot though, René expecting him to move slower than he had after taking a bludger and being unprepared as the quaffle sailed in the opposite direction. Miffed, René threw it back out, not wanting to fall for the feint again.
 
It was quite hard to play with two bludger hits, any of the already present exhaustion from the length of the practice were compounded with the hits, so he wasn't too surprised when he threw the ball and it missed the hoop. He could at least now blame something though other than poor talent.
 
Jordie shot Leo a smile as the kid looked to him. When Leo missed the shot, Jordie caught the Quaffle as it was thrown back in and started around again.
 
Tilly was really looking forward to a water and stretch break. Her arms and back were starting to feel heavy and sore.
 
Jordie made his way back around and tossed the quaffle through the hoop, smiling at his success
 
Leo's next shot didn't quite make it in but René could feel himself slowing down, arms tired, when Jordie came around for another shot of his own and he couldn't quite get there in time. René threw the quaffle back out, wiping sweat from his forehead and shaking out his arms.
 
Leonardo flew forward and grabbed the ball as it was thrown back out.
