Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y40/S2

Tilly spent more time on defence, protecting the team... For now.
 
As soon as Leo was close he threw the ball, it missed the hoop barely but he had still missed.
 
Jordie caught the ball as it was thrown back in, flying a little closer to Leo for a second. "Hey Leo, you're getting better every throw," he gave the boy a smile before starting to loop around again.
 
Tilly watched as her next bludger sailed right into @Blair Bianchi.

Leo was a little surprised at Jordan's encouragement, but he nodded, and just flew in behind him.
 
Jordie made his way back around and tried feinting again, pleased that it worked. He looked to Leo and yelled out for him. "Leo, work on your misdirection," He offered to the younger chaser.
 
Tilly couldn't hide her amazement as a second bludger whacked @Connor Holland. If he wasn't awake already, now he would be.

Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in, looking around to the others to see if either of them were nearby as he started back around.
 
René could agree with Jordie that Leo was definitely getting better even if his aim was slightly off still. Now René just needed to get better at reading Jordie's moves so he could block more shots.
 
Not seeing either of the others, Jordie came back and tried again. Rene caught it again and Jordie let out a tired laugh. "Damn, Rene, you're killing me," Jordie joked, falling back on his broom and trying to catch his breath.
 
Tilly had to be careful now- most of her teammates were looking the worse for wear. Even @Rene Tofilau, who she hadn't really targeted for a second time, but managed to hit anyway.

René was ready for Jordie this time, relieved when he guessed correctly on if Jordie was going to fake him out or not. "I'm paying attention now," he called in response, moving to point at Jordie in a joking warning as he through the quaffle back out, though the effect was muted when Tilly sent another quaffle his way. "Ow," he wheezed.
 
Leonardo was really not sure why Jordan was helping him so much. But he took it on and when he caught the ball after it was thrown back out he was focusing on doing this right.
 
Wanting to keep his save streak again, René turned his attention to Leo as he took the quaffle.
 
Leonardo held on to what he said, attempting a misdirection, going towards the left most hoop and with whatever strength he had in him, he threw the ball towards the opposite hoop and was very pleased to watch it go in. Leonardo was immediately pleased with it, but knew that one or two goals in a whole practice when he'd taken so many shots was not something to be that proud of.
 
Jordie lit up as Leo got the shot through. "Woo! Great job!" He flew by, trying to get a high five, before catching the quaffle and starting around again.
 
Connor cried out as Tilly hit him with a bludger, and when another shot hit René a moment later he didn't hesitate to blow his whistle. "BREAK TIME, EVERYONE TAKE TEN!" He called out before descending. Connor took a quick break to drink some water and tend to the team's bruises before he was up in the air again, resuming the practice. He flew towards a bludger and swung hard, sending it straight into Lucas first try.

Jordie was about halfway back when Connor called a break. He hit the ground with the others, stretching out and checking up on @Leonardo Orr. When they were back in the air, he set back towards the hoops. Refreshed, he made the shot, and smiled playfully at Rene. "I'm figuring you out," He called with a playful wink.
 
It was about time for a break. Tilly descended to the ground, grabbing some water and flopping onto the pitch as she caught her breath. Once Connor started practice again, she didn't want to get up. Tilly had no hustle as she finished off her water and climbed back onto her broom.
 
Leonardo was almost a little disappointed to take a break, it was right, he was sore and tired, but he also just wanted to keep going, keep pushing. He went to the ground and had a small look of confusion as the other chaser came to him checking up on his as he stretched. Leonardo nodded silently and continued to just focus on what he was doing. He got back into the air and then after Jordan was successful in scoring, he caught the ball and began circling back.
 
Tilly aimed another bludger at Blair. Instead, it went off course and hit @Felix Carnahan instead.

When Leonardo was close he threw the ball, attempting to fient again but it didn't work at all this time. He couldn't even blame exhaustion, since he'd just had a rest.
 
Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in, giving Leo an encouraging smile before starting back around again and keeping an eye out for Blair.
 
René was glad Connor called a break after he let another shot past, glad to rest for a moment before guzzling down arguably too much water. Back in the air he wasn't nearly ready for Jordie to take another shot, resisting the urge to get frustrated at Jordie's comment. "I wasn't ready that time," he instead, aiming for levity but probably coming across more bitter than he'd wanted. He was much happier when he managed to block Leo's next shot at least.
 
Lucas thought he saw the snitch for a second, but then sighed when he realized it had been nothing.
