Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y40/S2

Leonardo flew in behind Jordan as he took the quaffle.
 
René kept an eye on both chasers, ready in case they passed and not wanting to give Jordie another easy goal.
 
Jordie tried a different feint this time, pouting as it didn't work.
 
Unfortunately, Tilly hit no one.
 
Leonardo grabbed the ball as it was thrown back out and then began circling back to the hoops.
 
Leonardo had had mixed success with fienting, but he did it again and was very happy to score. He still wasn't making up for all the itmes he'd missed but at least he hadn't missed again.
 
Jordie cheered as Leo scored and grabbed the quaffle, ready to pass it to Blair if he saw her.
 
Tilly was doing a good job of protecting her teammates, although they looked like they could handle some more battering after the break.
 
Jordie made his way back around, grinning as he made the shot.
 
René must have gotten over confident after he was able to block Jordie's shot, misjudging Leo and Jordie's next ones one after another. Frowning at the quaffle in his hands, he threw it back out, deciding he needed to be on guard more.
 
Tilly smacked a bludger away from the hoops.
 
René kept a wearing eye on Tilly as she flew nearby, relieved when she knocked a bludger away from the hoops instead of towards, giving her a grateful smile.
 
René knew he'd been off to a good start during practice but he could only hope the Gryffindor chasers didn't figure him out as quickly as Jordie and the others were seeming to.
 
Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in, and started around again.
 
Tilly hit nothing but air.
 
René was always glad when Tilly was hitting anything that wasn't him, keeping an eye on Jordie as he took the quaffle again.
 
Jordie pouted as Rene caught his throw. It seemed to be pretty even between them.
 
Tilly watched as her next bludger hit @Leonardo Orr. Bad day for a second year.

René grinned as he managed to grab Jordie's next shot. "Aha, I'm onto you now," he called to Jordie, throwing the quaffle back out right as Leo took another bludger and wincing in sympathy.
 
Leonardo went to grab the ball again after Rene threw it back out, and almost dropped the ball as suddenly a bludger slammed into him. Even with the break this deeply hurt.
 
Jordie winced when Leo got smacked and flew over. "Leo! You okay?"
 
René felt a little bad for hoping that Leo would be moving slower after taking a bludger but he did also really want to keep his block streak up.
 
Blair took the second bludger even more painfully but this time with just biting her lip instead of swearing again, so when the break finally came up, she took a moment to calm down after just getting angry during the practice. And when it restarted, she just took the air again calmer than before and hoped to stay that way as she followed Leo once he caught the quaffle.
 
Tilly whacked a bludger towards Connor, however it decided to loop around and bash @Jordan Harris instead. She had a feeling that, after practice, everyone on the team was going to steer clear of her until the next match. It didn't help that Tilly was especially bad at feeling sorry. Pain was the name of the game for a beater.

René couldn't help but feel like Tilly was trying to help him, even if she wasn't always aiming for the chasers, and he wasn't going to complain. Three on one seemed easier when there were bludgers flying anyway.
