Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y40/S2

Felix appreciated Connor's encouragement and kept looking for the snitch.

René watched Leo closing, wondering if he imagining Leo moving slower after taking the bludger. He managed to knock the quaffle aside before pulling back to himself to throw back out, trying to give Leo an apologetic look despite feeling pretty chuffed about the catch.

Tilly grimaced when her bludger missed one of the chasers and went straight into @Rene Tofilau. Not fair, hitting a beater without a bat to defend himself.

Felix x2
Lucas x1
Jordan x1
Leonardo x1
Rene x1

René had just sent the quaffle back out when the bludger hit him. He'd raised his arms instictively, glad for the keeper pads he was wearing as the impact made his bones rattle. "I'm unarmed!" He lamented at Tilly, glad he hadn't been knocked clean off his broom for thinking he could catch a bludger like a quaffle.

Tilly shrugged innocently at Rene, glad to see he was OK before flying off. She hoped he was going to return and be a beater next year. Maybe there was more of an incentive to target him after all...

Felix kept looking for the snitch.

René shook out his hands, hoping the chasers wouldn't circle back around before he'd managed to work the ache out of his hands and arms.

Leonardo was able to get the ball, and felt a little bad hoping that the keeper's bludger hit would enable him to do better.

Leonardo threw the ball when he was close, having listened to Jordie, and pretending to go one way and throwing the other. He was very thankful and pleased when it worked and he was able to score.

Tilly scanned her teammates, figuring out who would be her next victim target. She was patient.

Felix was feeling pretty good about how practice was going but he was starting to get a little tired as he kept flying around the pitch.

Tilly zoomed through the skies, holding her bat aloft. Soon, one of her teammates would be on the receiving end of a bludger- just not right this moment.

Leonardo after his success was feeling bolder, and eagerly caught the ball as it was thrown back out.

Tilly hovered near the hoops again. After all, Rene needed to be on his guard.

René tried to focus on Leo with the quaffle and not the ache from the bludger hit but he wasn't thinking clearly enough to catch the feint until it was too late. He was going to have to learn how to spot those quick if they were going to keep getting past them. He glanced at Tilly where she was hovering nearby, squinting at her and miming throwing the quaffle at her before throwing it back out to the chasers.

Felix kept looking for the snitch.

It was hardly surprising that he missed when he'd gone to score again. He had managed a couple of goals but his ratio of goals to attempts was probably pretty horrible.

René was more ready for Leo this time, knocking the quaffle aside triumphantly before realizing he had to go grab it before it hit the ground. Swooping down, he threw it back out to the chasers, shaking out his sore arms after.

Tilly cracked a bludger and was surprised to see it slam right into @Connor Holland. She waved at him apologetically. Although she was pretty sure she was on good terms with their captain, he'd been harsher this year than before.

Felix was starting to get a little tired and took a second to yawn and stretch his arms. But as he was looking up, face scrunched up, he thought he saw a flash of gold. He quickly snapped into action and raced after the snitch. He thought he might lose it but he kept close and eventually caught the gold ball with a quick swipe of his hand.

René ducked instictively when he heard Tilly connect with another bludger, selfishly relieved that it shot towards Connor instead of anyone else.

Assuming Connor was all right with his body of steel, Tilly flew on. She cheered when Felix caught the snitch.

Distracted by the bludgers, René was impressed to realize the Felix had caught the snitch again. It seemed like he wasn't the only younger member of the team having good luck today.

When no one else went for the quaffle, Leo flew forward and grabbed it beginning to circle back to score.

René turned his attention back to Leo as he took possession of the quaffle and was back on the move.
