Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y40/S2

At least Jordie wasn't the only one struggling against the new keeper. He missed having Linden around, Linden always offered him tips on what he could do. He liked Connor, sure, but Connor wasn't right there to help him. He caught the ball as it was thrown back in and started back around again.

Felix appreciated Connor telling the beaters to avoid him. He wasn't feeling too bad but he hoped it'd make looking for the snitch easier.

After making sure Felix was okay Connor flew after one of the bludgers, swinging hard and pleased as the ball made contact with Lucas. "YOU OKAY?" He called out, making sure he hadn't done too much damage.
@Lucas Fletcher
Felix x2
Lucas x1

Jordie groaned when he failed to score again. "Damn, kid, no one is ever gunna score against you!" He called out, half in frustration and half in admiration.

It had been so long since Felix had seen the snitch he nearly didn't believe his eyes when he saw a flash of gold. He raced after it and grabbed the small gold ball out of the air, relieved to finally have caught it again.

Felix was feeling a bit better now and was more optimistic as he started his search again.

Not ready to give up, Jordie caught the quaffle and started around again.

René beamed at Jordie's comment as he blocked another shot, throwing the quaffle back to him. "That's a good thing though, aye!" He called back, hoping Connor was paying attention.

Jordie flew back and chucked the quaffle at Rene, sighing as it was caught again.

Felix kept looking for the snitch.

Leonardo caught the ball as it was thrown back out, really keen to keep trying and hopefully keep getting better.

Leonardo wanted to manage to score, but the shot went wide again, and he couldn't help but groan at it. He was better than this.

Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back in and began looping around again.

Felix kept looking and hoped it wouldn't take as long to find it again.

Determined, Jordie watched Rene as he got closer. In an attempt to be tricky, Jordie tried to fake the other boy out, veering left before shooting right. He grinned as the ball flew through the hoops.

René was able to block Leo's next short but Jordie's was trickier. He fell for Jordie's feint, watching with a groan as Jordie's shot went through the complete opposite hoop he'd dove for. "Tricky," he said sheepishly, throwing the quaffle back out.

Leonardo caught the ball as it was thrown back out. He needed to be better, and be more on target.

Felix continued to look for the snitch.

Leonardo threw the ball and was very disappointed when he missed.

Felix sighed and kept looking for the snitch.

Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back into play.

Leonardo followed Jordie as the other chaser caught the quaffle.

Jordie thought he'd gotten Rene figured out, and was insanely pleased as he managed to make another goal.

Connor kept an eye on René and the chasers as the game went on, pleased that at least they'd have a strong Keeper for the next game, even if it wasn't their original one.

Tilly nodded when Connor told her to back off on Felix. She circled the pitch and waited for a good angle on her next target.
