Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y40/S2

René knew Leonardo was one of the newer chasers but he still felt pretty good about being able to grab the quaffle when he made his shot. Maybe this keeper thing wasn't too difficult after all, he mused, throwing the quaffle back out to Blair.

Leonardo followed the girl as she caught the quaffle.

Connor kept an eye on the chasers as they flew into action, pleased to see both that the chasers were working well together as a team, and that René was doing a good job as Keeper.

René knew he was pretty big for his age and that it helped when play beater, but the extended reach probably helped playing keeper as well, which was a relief.

Felix kept up his search for the snitch.

René kept an eye not just on Blair but all the chasers this time, not wanting to get caught off guard again if they passed the quaffle.

Connor kept an eye out for bludgers as he flew on, hoping to get a few more good hits in.

The snitch was no where in sight but Felix kept looking.

Felix thought he saw something move out of the corner of his eye and went after it but realized it must have been a trick of light.

Lucas kept flying around, keeping an eye out for the snitch.

And of course Blair failed. The hit was caught by Rene and Blair just angrily frowned before getting back into the game.

Leonardo caught the ball after Blair didn't score, he began circling to try his hand again.

René fumbled for the quaffle again as Blair took her shot, glad he was able to just grab it with his finger tips. He faltered some under her glare, reassuring himself it was good he was doing well before throwing the quaffle back out to Leo.

Felix flew around in circles trying to find the snitch.

Leonardo tried to score again and was definitely disappointed to have missed, he knew he just needed to keep trying.

René was glad when Leo's next shot didn't quite make it in, having moved a bit too slowly this time to block it. He grabbed the quaffle, still sheepishly pleased he was keeping up his streak as he threw it back out to the chasers.

Jordie caught the quaffle as it came back into play, determined to do better. Rene was doing pretty well, but he missed Linden terribly. He started back around again.

René straightened up when Jordie took the quaffle again, keen to prove he could keep up his streak.

Jordie came back around and threw the quaffle, laughing in disbelief when Rene caught it again. "Either we suck or no one will ever score against you!" He called out to Rene, smiling and shaking his head. He shot the boy a thumbs up before flying off.

Blair wasn't looking forward to going against René again, she already was a bit mad that she still hadn't scored since he became the keeper. She wanted Linden to be back, he was at least giving any tips. After Jordie failed, Blair caught the Quaffle determined to finally score.

Lucas kept on looking around, not seeing the snitch anywhere yet.

Blair took her shot again and when Rene caught the Quaffle again, to say the least, Blair let out a good line of Russian swear words and got even more mad, she disliked failing.

René grinned at Jordie, shrugging as he threw the quaffle out again. "I'd like to think it's cause I'm just that good," he said with sheepish pride, getting ready as Blair came back around with the quaffle again. He felt his ears go red at the words she spat out as he caught her shot as well, not knowing what it was but figuring it wasn't very complimentary.

The excitement of his first catch was starting to fade and he was getting more determined with his search.

Lucas still didn't see the snitch anywhere, he was starting to get a bit frustrated.
