Open Hufflepuff Practice Y36 S1

Analei heard the boy cry out in pain and she felt bad, but also knew that it was part of the game. Better to get used to the pain and shock in practice than out playing a real game, right? Whacking a bludger that flew at her again, Analei aimed for Arvel this time, but again it went off course and this time, hit @Tiziano Edogawa .

Analei seemed to be really on a roll. Lauren had hit two people but she was never that good as her captain and fellow beater. Frustration of missing one she sighted. She could put a lot of emotion in this sport but in a real game she could really put it all.

Tizi looked towards the hoops and came around to try and score except the moment he extended his arm to do so, he felt a sickening crack as the bludger smashed right through his arm. it took a moment for Tizi to really grasp what had happened before the intense pain flashed up his arm like fire and he screamed in pain. He’d never been hit with a bludger before because they didn’t play with bludgers at home. He could see why his mother had made that decision now. He held his arm close to him as he struggled to land his broom one handed.

Corey had been a little late for practice but it didn't take long to catch up on everything that was happening. The beaters were on a roll, and honestly Corey couldn't have been more thankful that his own mum was one. The rain was something that was a semi-new experience. Sure he'd been out on playing in the rain before but not really like this with bludgers flying about. He hadn't caught the snitch yet though, just a glimpse of something golden that would disappear as soon as he moved. What caught him by surprise though was a rather familiar cry of pain. "Tizi!" Corey watched as his cousin tried to lower himself on to the ground. It was only practice so maybe it wouldn't be so bad to help his cousin out. Making the decision, Corey flew over to Tizi to assist just in case he fell. He'd still be looking out for the snitch anyways.

Ilija winced as he witnessed one of the younger players get hit by a bludger just as they tried to score. He didn’t have that much experience himself but he knew seekers and chasers were more targeted too. It was a tough game but Ilija hoped the boy was okay.

[ooc are you f*ckin serious...]

There was a shout from further across the pitch, and Elliot watched as their new seeker went to check on one of the chasers. He could definitely sympathize, though Elliot's commiseration was cut short when he spotted a darting movement not fair away from the two players he was watching. Not sparing another moment, Elliot shot off after the snitch, feeling the rain stinging again on his face at the speed. Swerving past some of his teammates, Elliot nearly choked on another laugh as he was able to nab the snitch again, nearly slipping off his broom in the rain as he came to abrupt halt, snitch clasped tightly.

Lauren continued flying and heard some noices flew closer and saw that Elliot again had the snitch. It didn't even seemed difficult. '' Good job Elliot!'' Lauren said with an smile. Trying to make a bit of more contact with the team members.

Letting the snitch go, Elliot took a moment to try and fruitlessly wipe some of the water off his face. The Impervius charms he'd set on his gear before the game was definitely well past its point of usefulness and Elliot was truly soaked like the rest of the team. He smiled when Lauren called out to him, feeling pretty pleased despite the ache from the rain and bludgers. He could only hope their game against Slytherin went this well for him.

Abian was surprised when Elliot kept catching the snitch in this awful rain, but he was happy for the seeker. He spotted the new chaser was trying to score when a bludger hit him and stopped him. He winced as the boy moved down to the ground, and glanced over at the captains. Were they going to end the practice? Abian grabbed the quaffle but hovered with it uncertainly, waiting for a verdict. He barely noticed as Elliot caught the snitch again.

Elliot hadn't realized the younger chaser had been so badly hurt by the bludger, hovering uncertainly as he landed his broom. He trusted Analei and Arvel to handle it, and hopefully it was just the shock of the pain that was troubling the younger boy. Elliot remembered the first time he'd gotten hit and it hadn't been fun.

Tizi looked at Corey as his cousin tried to help him land his broom safely. He was thoroughly soaked and he knew he'd broken his arm if the way it was sitting was anything to go by. Of course, he'd never broken his arm before and the pin was immeasurable. He wasn't aware his arm bones could move in that direction, although apparently they couldn't, since it was now broken. "I think I broke my are, Cor," he said, gasping through the pain.

Analei was surprised by the scream she heard from the boy that she had hit. She did not expect it at all. She wanted the rest of the team to continue for a bit longer, even though Elliot caught the snitch again. She flew up to the Edogawa's, looking at the one with the dismantled arm. "You can go to the Hospital Wing." Analei yelled over the rain. "The rest of us, keep it up! Elliot you're amazing, we just gotta keep it up for a bit longer!" She called, looking over at Arvel, hoping he agreed. The more practice the better.

Corey grimaced at the sight of Corey's broken arm. He'd had his fair share of injuries of course so he could sympathize. "You'll be alright in no time when you get to the Hospital Wing," he said as he smiled at his cousin reassuringly. "You know I'll have to tell Jai and the twins that you got injured right?" he said before turning to look at the pitch again - no sign of the snitch, not that he was looking very hard right now. He didn't know if he should leave practice to bring Tizi to the hospital wing, so he would just wait if his cousin would tell him to come with. Quidditch was important but Tizi was even more so.

Someone had to go to the hospital wing she heard but she could not really see who or why or what. But Lauren would just continue her good practice so far. A bit frustration as she thought of what was waiting home on her. She needed an way out, but she didn't knew how. Sighting for a moment she spotted a bludger and tried to hit Abian but instead it hit Ilija. The bludger went of course. Lauren was not even so bad at this she tried to tell herself, but whatever she would do if her father would see this he would be furious and still tell her she was bad.
@Ilija Olaf

OOCOut of Character:

Your action (hit) was successful!
...but the bludger went off course, and you hit another player, instead!

Ilija was watching the younger boy although Analei went to help him, and the sixth year turned his attention back to the game. Abian grabbed the Quaffle and began to head in his direction, when suddenly Ilija felt something barrelling into his side. He knocked the wind out of the Keeper and dazed and confused, Ilija spent the next few seconds trying to calm himself down. At least he didn't think he'd broken anything.

Elliot was glad to see their two younger teammates had Analei checking on them, feeling better about resuming his hunt for the snitch. He shot Ilija a grimace of sympathy when he was hit by a bludger too, though thankfully he seemed to fair better than their chaser had.

Enough was enough. Arvel was pleased the beaters were getting some good practice in, but the team needed to be in one piece for the real game. He took a small whistle out of his pocket and blew it, signalling the end of the match. Then he flew down to the ground to check on Tiziano. He kept half an eye out for Elliot landing nearby, determined that he would say something positive to the boy, even if it came out wrong. He'd never seen a seeker play like that. Ever. Let alone in the pouring rain. Elliot really had something special.

Elliot was conflicted when Arvel blew the whistle to end practice. On one hand he was exhausted and sore, and couldn't wait to get back to the castle to dry off. But on the other hand, he'd never played so well, and had almost been hoping he could have tried to manage another catch somehow. But maybe it was for the best to quit while he was ahead, he decided, touching down and stretching out his sore arms. Despite the still lingering fear of their upcoming match against Slytherin, Elliot was feeling hesitantly confident for once.
