From the end of the hall, the Headmistress stood to wait for graduates and guests alike to enter and take their appropriate seats. Gone were the long tables that usually resided in the hall, leaving a large empty space for rows upon rows of padded chairs. Gone too, were the usual banners and drapes depicting the four individual houses and their respective colours, replaced now by banners depicting only the Hogwarts insignia on a plain, black background. Today, the seventh years weren't Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs or Slytherins. They stood together as one, the graduating class of 2048.

As everyone settled into their seats, Katherine strode across the stage to take her position at the podium. With a raise of her hand, the murmur and chatter of those present ceased, and she spoke. "Welcome all of you, family and friends, students and staff, to the graduation ceremony of twenty forty-five. Thank you for joining us in celebrating the long journey of our honoured graduates, and in commending their seven years of growth and dedication at Hogwarts New Zealand. Truly, each and every one of you have been the heart and soul of this school." There was a brief moment of applause, and once that too had died down, Katherine continued. "To the class of twenty forty-eight, remember that your lives are only just beginning. You are all the future of wizardkind, and it is your actions and achievements that will continue to shape the world we live in. With that said, I'd like to call upon our head students, Flavio Morales and Amber Chou Wilson to take the podium. Please give them a warm welcome." The Headmistress finished, stepping off to the side to allow the two students to take her place and present their speeches.

Graduation was finally underway, and Flavio could barely believe it. The notion he would be leaving Hogwarts was one he knew about the moment he was sorted all those years ago, and was reminded to him constantly throughout the past year, but being in the moment of the graduation ceremony felt surreal. It felt unreal that he and the rest of his year had made it through school, and were about to leave Hogwarts as adult witches and wizards, ready to take on the world. Everyone had arrived to Hogwarts for the first time as children and were now all grown up and able to create the lives they wanted for themselves. It was for this reason that despite not believing how quickly gradation had arrived, and how unusual it felt to realize a moment he had been anticipating for seven years was finally happening, he was more proud than anything at the fact each soon to be graduate had made it through.
During the years of being at Hogwarts, Flavio had grown from being an insecure, scared child into someone confident, at least by his own definition, and that was the theme of his speech. He wanted to talk about personal growth, and how each and every student graduating that day had become amazing people in their own way. Flavio sat patiently as the headmistress spoke, then stood up to assume his place at the podium when it was time to make his speech, taking in a breath before he spoke to the hall. "I do not want to keep everyone for too long, but I do want to say most importantly I am proud of everyone graduating today. We arrived here as children, and now we have made it through seven years of school, and grown into adults about to graduate and make their way in the world. We have not only learned how to use magic properly and are leaving Hogwarts with an education, but we have also become amazing and unique people, who deserve to lead amazing lives." He paused to gather his thoughts, eyes looking over the crowd as he continued. "Every graduate here today, with the help of the professors, have grown into good people, and I am confident what we have all learned in school, whether it is inside or outside of class, will aid all of us in the next step of our journey as adults. We will always be growing and there is nothing we can not do, and I am proud of this." Flavio paused again, deciding to wrap up his speech so Amber could be given her chance to talk. "Thank you so much to the professors, and to all the family members and loved ones that have supported us and helped us to grow along the way, I know I am thankful for everything I have learned and happy with the person I have become, and every other graduate here today deserves to feel the same way." With that, Flavio nodded to the crowd, and turned away from the podium, to wait for Amber to make her speech. He was certain hers would be more well formed than his was, and he felt excited about what she would say.

Ever since she woke up this morning, Amber had felt like she was in a bizarre dream. The idea that this was her final day here at Hogwarts and that she would be graduating was impossible to wrap her mind around, and she wondered when it would finally dawn on her that it was all over. It was a bittersweet feeling, as she was sad to leave the school but also proud of herself for her accomplishments. She was proud of her classmates as well, her friends and even those she didn't know that well. They had all made it here, to their graduation, and now they would be moving into the world. She hoped she would be able to keep in touch with everyone that was important to her, as the thought of them all drifting apart terrified her.

The Headmistress called her and Flavio forward to give their speeches, and Amber tried her best to push back her nerves. She had some practice with speaking to larger crowds, but this was still very intimidating. All her professors were here, as well as her classmates and fellow prefects. Amber was glad she would do this with one of her best friends, and flashed Flavio a nervous smile. But once she stood in front of the audience, she realized she didn't need to be afraid. She knew exactly what she wanted to say, so after glancing at Ainsley just once, she started. "I am honored and proud to stand in front of you today. It's a special day for all of us, and I'm happy we're here to experience it together. The first feeling I remember from when I stepped into Hogwarts for the first time was wonder. The school was so magical and beautiful, and I couldn't stop staring at everything around me. That sense of wonder faded over time, but it was replaced by something even more important," Amber paused, looking over at the crowd for a short moment. "A feeling of being at home. Hogwarts has been more than just a school. It has been a place that allowed us to grow, both as witches and wizards and as people. We have made important connections here, friendships that will last our entire lifetime." She desperately hoped that was true. "Professors, thank you for everything you taught us, and every bit of support you have shown. I know I have learned more than just magic here, and will walk away from the school having gained more than just an education." She gave a slightly watery smile, it really was a quite emotional moment. "I hope we can continue making you proud."

Katherine stood quietly to the side as the two head students gave their speeches, applauding each in turn as they finished and stepped down from the podium to make their way back to their seats. Their words were warming, and though bittersweet, it was always pleasing to hear their departing words remaining so positive. With all said and done, the Headmistress took their place once more to address the hall. "Thank you, Mr Morales and Miss Wilson, for those words. To the class of twenty-forty eight - the future is yours - don't be afraid to leave your mark in the history of wizardkind. I look forward to seeing what each of you bring to the wizarding world, and the legacies you leave. Now, let's move on to why we're all here. When I call your name, come up to the stage to receive your diploma." The woman said, taking a moment to look across the sea of faces in front of her, many for the last time. Her eyes dropped to the parchment she held, and she called up the first of many names.

It's time Graduates. You can now RP your character coming on stage, getting his or her diploma and then sitting back down until the end of the ceremony.

Ainsley couldn't believe she was sitting here. This was it. The end of her time at Hogwarts. What had once been such a strange and unfamiliar place had become her second home over the last seven years, and she didn't feel ready to leave this all behind. Ainsley didn't know yet what the world ahead held for her, but saying goodbye to everything she knew, the places she went every day and the people she saw every day hurt much more than she had ever imagined it would. Ainsley was deeply proud of Amber and Flavio for everything they had accomplished, but as Amber got up when they were called for speeches, Ainsley wished she could have held her girlfriend's hand through this.

Flavio's speech came first, and Ainsley couldn't keep tears from pricking at her eyes as she listened to her best friend speak. It was so strange to think about the children they had arrived at Hogwarts as, and how far they had come since then, how much they had all changed and grown. Ainsley wondered what the timid little girl she had come to school as would think if she could see herself now. Amber's speech came next, and Ainsley had to choke back more tears. She felt exactly the same way about her time at Hogwarts as Amber did, and hearing it put into words really made this moment sink in. They were going to leave Hogwarts, forever. When Amber returned to the seats Ainsley took her hand, squeezing it tightly as the headmistress began to call names for people to collect their diplomas. Ainsley wiped her eyes with her other hand, struggling to hold back her tears to no avail. The sound of her own name came far sooner than Ainsley was prepared for and she stood up, taking slow shaky breaths and squeezing Amber's hand quickly before stepping away, her hands trembling as she approached the stage. Ainsley did her best not to cry as she accepted her diploma from the headmistress, taking slow, shaky breaths as she hurried back to her seat, staring at the piece of paper in her hand. This was really it. Her time at Hogwarts had really come to an end.

Lizzie knew there was more beyond today, more bigger and better things on her horizon than she could possibly count, but it was difficult to focus on those on her last day at school. It was hard not to linger on everything she was leaving behind - friends, teammates, memories. Lizzie knew that her time at school would always be a part of her, one she carried close to her heart, but the thought that her final visit to the Quidditch Pitch was over, her last moments in her dorm were behind her, she had eaten her last meal in the Great Hall, it was all bizarre and painful and emotional.

Lizzie didn't especially relish the fact of having to sit through a bunch of speeches, but she was glad, at least, that Flavio was giving one of them. She had come to respect the boy as an opponent and fellow captain, and she listened with interest, heart aching with the split she felt between sadness over everything she was leaving behind, and everything life had left to bring her. She was less excited to hear Amber speak, taking a moment to glance around, trying to commit this experience to memory forever. She was only going to get one graduation, one last day with all of these people in this amazing place, and Lizzie didn't ever want to forget it. Once the speeches were over, it really struck Lizzie. This was it. She would get her diploma, and then she would be a graduate. An adult, striking out to carve her own path in life, with a world full of potential ready for her. Lizzie was deeply torn between that excitement and the deep, aching sadness at leaving, and she felt almost numb as she got to her feet when her name was called.

The Lizzie of yesterday had joked about how she was gonna fly in and grab her diploma from the Headmistress's hand, had remarked with bravado about starting a 'Go, go, Gryffindor!' chant from the stage, but the Lizzie of today felt no such levity. She didn't think she had ever been solemn in her life before, but that was the only word for how she felt as she stepped onto the stage, heartbeat racing through her as she accepted her diploma. The end of her time at school. Lizzie hated this somber feeling, and after taking a moment to collect herself, forced a bright grin and wave to her classmates and friends as she stepped down from the stage, trying to brush aside the moment of melancholy she had felt. This was really it. Nothing to be gained now from dwelling on what she was saying goodbye to, as Lizzie took her seat again, she was still smiling slightly, thinking of the bright future on her horizon.

After seven long years at the school, graduation was finally upon her. The part-veela was quite surprised by how it had practically crept up on her, though given that she’d been working on her NEWTs, the last few things in the monthly and getting things in order for her future career, actually graduating had just slipped her mind. Now it was here, the fact that her whole schooling was over was hitting her hard. She felt on the verge of tears for most of the day. The part veela had been looking forward to making her mark on the world, to making a difference to the world that she’d be entering but, she would dearly miss where she had spent seven years. Everything about the school had lived up to what she had expected. She hadn’t done as well educationally as she might’ve wanted, but she had achieved in other manners, she had been a part of the quidditch team, helped lead the Hogwarts Monthly, she had been a part of the organising team at Heta Omega. She had done plenty and she had spent time doing so many fun things that she would hold dear. There were so many dear memories to her. So many good things about this school that she would always hold on to. In this very hall, she had first met Asmodeus and they had start upon their path, but she loved and appreciated him so much, she had spent countless balls, celebrations and hours in this hall. Every single part of the school meant something different to her.

Noemie looked towards Flavio and Amber as the approached the podium, she was proud of her friends. She was proud of all their year, everything they had done, achieved and worked for. The part-veela listened along to the two speeches given by the head boy and girl, she liked their words, they had been young when they’d joined and it was with the efforts of their professors that they were able to grow into what they all now were. They had achieved so highly in so many ways, collectively and individually. She was proud of everyone. Noemie clapped loudly for her two friends. She would miss seeing them and everyone else practically every day. They were always the sweetest people. There were few people in her year group that she didn’t like. The girl watched as the people in her year got their diplomas, though it felt near unreal that it was actually happening, and actually happening to them. They were graduating! Eventually Noemie’s name came around. She was one of the last of course and she crossed the stage proudly, taking her diploma and shaking the hand of the headmistress, muttering a small thanks as she did so. That was it, entirely. Her schooling was over. Noemie felt happy little tear prick her eyes. She couldn’t really believe that it was all over.

Zoe had a lot of memories going into the school. She loved it at Hogwarts New Zealand and here she was, graduating. Zoe had not believed where her journey at led her. Truth be told, she only invited two of her siblings, which did bother her that she didn't have the chance to invite Autumn. But, this would be a little too painful for her to say goodbye here. Autumn deserved much more than that. Zoe looked over to see that Zared and Elysia were attending, and smiled gently toward them. Zoe bowed her head and listened to the speeches, clapping politely for Flavio and Amber. It was not too long before she would get her diploma now. The names were called, and soon enough, Zoe's name was, after Zenia. She approached the stage, and thanked the headmistress for her time, and went back to her seat. Finally. She was done.

Rory’s hands didn’t seem to want to stop shaking, it had started that morning and seemingly didn’t want to stop. Getting it seemed increasingly annoying as the day had gone on. As the ceremony had approached. It felt dumb that after a year of worrying about it, he was finally at the point of graduating. Of course his future was as unsteady, he didn’t have a place to live, no home, but he had a couch he was welcome to crash on. Hogwarts had become his proxy home when he was at the school, but after being kicked out of his actual home, Hogwarts had become far more of a home, almost because he had no where else that he could go. Now, he was at the end of his schooling, this was his last day of it really and he still didn’t have a real home that he could go to. It also wasn’t like the old adage of home is where the heart is because Rory no longer knew where his heart really was. He didn’t know what the future held for him, he didn’t know where he’d be in a week’s time. He was crashing on Flavio’s couch but he knew that would be a short term solution. He couldn’t outstay his welcome, all the accusations of bully and taking advantage of his friend were likely to return. But, it just meant that he was leaving hogwarts, without a firm home, a firm future and just hoping for the best. He would be on his own. The slytherin - soon to be graduate - was sat in his seat in the great hall. He’d invited his family, on the off chance maybe they’d changed their mind but of course he could easily spot that they weren’t there. The only one of his family to come was Aonghas and that was probably because they were at school together and his parents wouldn’t know that Aonghas had gone. Not even Bonnie had turned up. His half sister was clearly picking her side in all of this.

Rory shoved his shaking hands into his pockets, keeping his gaze firmly in front of him, he’d worn the kilt, the family tartan, it felt a bit like a lie and he felt a little like an imposter wearing it, but he’d be damned if he wouldn’t wear his kilt at this event. Rory was worried, he’d never been without some kind of safety net in his life and he was walking out into a world with only a few friends to turn to. Though his lack of friends was his own fault - he had never been particularly nice to people, since he’d never thought he’d be sticking around after this. There was a small feeling in the back of his mind, like every single moment his heart beat hard and fast in his chest, a small amount of fear. He was jealous of all the smiling faces, jealous of how pleased and proud everyone seemed to be about their future and Rory was just trying to make it through the day, because he would just have to take each day at a time. He’d packed all of his stuff into one backpack, using magic to make it bigger on the inside, but he was packing only the things he would need. Leaving to his brother, his suits, the family family tartan he was wearing would be passed. The other gifts and things. Rory was taking the clothes he would need, some of his books, his quidditch things and a small selection of pictures of his family. They’d wipe him out from all their pictures but he didn’t need to do the same. The speeches were over before Rory could really begin to pay attention, and the names were being called. He heard his name, and he made his way across the stage. His hands shook as he took the diploma, unable to stop them from doing so. He was a graduate now. He just had to say his proper goodbyes to Aonghas and then take a leap of faith into the future.

It was hard for Amber to believe she had really managed to give her speech without messing up or bursting into tears. The Hufflepuff was proud of herself, but also relieved when she was sitting next to Ainsley who immediately took her hand. She looked at her girlfriend gratefully, feeling like she would need her support to get through the following moments. Her first classmates were called forward to receive their diplomas, and Amber watched each and every one of them. She was closer to some than others, but had known all of them for years. It would be so strange to never see some of them again, as she was sure they were all going to find their own paths in life.

She squeezed Ainsley's hand as she noticed her girlfriend was crying. Amber was managing not to, but it wasn't far off. Ainsley was called up, and Amber applauded for her loudly when she received her diploma. She did the same for every one of her classmates, for Rory and Lizzie too. It felt silly and childish now, their past conflicts. Amber sort of wished she could rewind time and change the negative relationship she had with both of them. But she couldn't linger on that for long, as it was then her turn to be called. Amber got to her feet and walked over to the stage. She took the diploma from Professor Alicastell, and thanked her quietly. Then she turned around and headed back to her seat, a little shaky. She had done it. She had graduated. Hogwarts was now officially a part of her past, and Amber knew she would miss it terribly.

Evelyn was a bit afraid for this day. It would be a celebration ofcourse, but for her it was really emotional too. And she believed that many more students thought like her. Perhaps there were people that didn't even cared about this school, but they had spend seven years of their life here. t would be another step in the future and what she always dreamed of doing. But that time actually came now. Evelyn had planned her future out already from young age. She wanted it all! The job in the fashion industry, a handsome and sweet husband, some children and a big house. But Lucas and her had so many questions stil, but as long as they were together it would be fine. And she believed that many more students thought like her. Perhaps there were people that didn't even cared about this school, but they had spend seven years of their life here. Evelyn did care. She remembered the first day she came her. Thinking of that person made her feel bad about herself sometimes. She had been so young, but so stupid also. At that time she thought that she did right and believed that all she wanted came to her. Because that was something she was used to get at home. Evelyn was a spoiled brat and hated the fact she wasn't sorted into Slytherin together with Espen. Gryffindor was stupid and she hated sharing a bedroom with most of the girls she didn't even liked. From day one she became enemies with Zenia and that never changed. But she also made a lot of friends, who she really loved and she believed there were friendships that would last forever. The Charms lessons were favorite and Misha ment a lot to her. She had been liking all she had learned and Misha was just a really good motivation factor that brought the best out of her. Evelyn was sure gonna miss him too. The blonde had made mistakes over the years, and learned that also she couldn't have the perfect life, as some people sometimes thought of her. She had to let Noah go, but found her true love with Lucas at the end. Something she still found difficult towards Noah. But she hoped that one day they could be friends again. Evelyn tried to focus on the positive things and look how that turned out! She loved Gryffindor and wouldn't change it for the world. Evelyn had learned that you really had to work for what you wanted to earn. And she had done that here. The blonde had been doing the best she could with classes and participating in clubs. She became prefect, what was really a dream came through and was the president of Heta Omega, a group of girls really dear to her. Evelyn also worked for the Hogwarts Monthly and wrote many articles over the years. She had been busy, but she liked it. She all had to leave that here. She was at the bottom here, but had to work hard again to do so outside of Hogwarts too. One thing was sure, she and Lucas would stay together and Evelyn was gonna chase her dreams.

The blonde was glad that Emilia and her father would come to her graduation. She didn't care what her mother thought. She had left her out of all too so Evelyn would do the same. She wanted to celebrate with people she loved and her mother had proven her wrong many times. The blonde smiled as the headmistress spoke. She clapped as Flavio and Amber were mentioned and grinned. Evelyn wanted to be up there, but after the speeches of both she knew why they were chosen. They were so right and the blonde clapped excited and smiled at the two. Evelyn also had to wipe a few tears away. It was so final now, she was gonna go on stage to get her diploma and than was it.. She looked as Rory and her other friends got on stage and clapped a bit too excited for them and felt really proud. Even Zenia had made it and the blonde never wanted to be friends to her but felt regret of the incident they had. When her name was getting called the blonde walked confident to the stage and smiled at her headmistress. She thanked the woman shortly and put her hand into the air excited towards the other students that were graduate. And smiled bright. Than she went sitting again. She looked at Lucas and gave him a small kiss on his cheek. The blonde had to hold in her tears. She had to enjoy this moment, and she could be proud of herself.

Flavio smiled as he listened to Amber's speech. Much like he expected, her words were more heartfelt than his own and it was obvious there was thought and effort behind everything she said. The entire ceremony still felt unreal to him, even as students began to accept their diplomas, but he wanted to make the most of it while he could, watching onward and clapping as each seventh year walked on stage. It was part of his speech, though it went without saying he was proud of everyone in his year for all they had accomplished, and especially for his friends as he had seen them all grow into amazing people as he got to know them over the years. Watching his peers receive their diplomas made him feel more proud if it were possible, and he clapped more as each name was called out. With Flavio's surname being in the middle of the alphabet it wasn't too long before his own name was called. When it sounded in his ears and he stood up to make his way to the stage again, he felt overwhelmed realizing this was the moment that officially marked the end of his time at school. He tried not to let it show as he walked on stage to accept his diploma, and after thanking the headmistress he returned to his seat. Everything he had done was in the lead up to graduating, and now with a diploma in his hand it was all over. As overwhelming as it still was, Flavio was happy with himself for reaching graduation, and excited knowing the rest of his life was only beginning.

Elizabeth was ready for this day. She liked being on Hogwarts, but she missed Leo badly. Who would ever thought that she would be the kind of girl that wanted to be with her boyfriend. But here the brunette was and Leo was here too, and soon she was gonna go on adventure with him. Elizabeth could finally see the world and that was what she was gonna do. No books to learn from, but just experiance and see for herself. The studying part was not something she was gonna miss. She didn't really did her best for it too. Elizabeth listened as the headboy and girl gave their speech. It made Elizabeth smile, but she also thought of the moments that she experianced here. She had made some nice friends and found her true love, so far it seemed. Those things were really important to her now.

The brunette looked as the students were getting called and clapped along when they got their diploma. Elizabeth was so glad that she was at this point and when her name got called she stood up and walked to the headmistress. She took her diploma with a smile and shook the hand of the woman. She didn't knew her that well, but it was the thing everyone did so she would do too. Elizabeth tried to find Leo and smiled at him before walking back to her place. This was it than.. Elizabeth noticed people crying, but she didn't felt like that way. She was just happy and would continue with her life.

November sat feeling unsure about how she felt. So much had happened here at Hogwarts and while on one hand it was relieving to know she wouldn't be coming back for classes anymore, it made her a little sad as well. What would she be doing all this upcoming year? She'd have to find a job something that she liked to do. She also watched Flavio, her boyfriend?, give his speech. Seeing him looking so handsome on the stage brought all her emotions up and she wasn't quite sure where they were going to end up. She had a feeling as the semester had continued on that their time was ending just as her time at the school. But if he wanted to fight for her then it might change her mind. Amber gave a wonderful speech and she was glad to be sitting next to Ainsley's other side during it. She wasn't the only one feeling emotional and she was glad for it. Her friends all went up for their diplomas first and it made November feel even more nervous as each one was called up and finished their schooling career. She wasn't sure if she was ready to graduate. Time had moved so fast the past few years and it made her feel ridiculous that she had wasted time at the school. She should have spent more time in the library and reading more of the books available to her here. She had made it through nearly a shelves' worth in each section, some more boring than others, but it did not feel as though it was enough. Her father would have gotten through more. She looked around the Great Hall. Would this be the last time she was ever in here? Oh the thought, it was sad to even think about. Finally her time came, she stood up and looked into the crowd, her Aunt and cousin's were their watching and cheering her on. It made her happy to see family and she had certainly been glad her aunt was a Professor at the school the past few years. She wished her two cousins well as they were just starting their years at Hogwarts and hoped they wouldn't waste any time. Up on the stage she shyly took her diploma and smiled and waved to the crowd before shuffling back to her seat as quickly as she could. It made her feel uneasy that so many people could be staring at her, and some she didn't even like. Life after this moment was going to be very different for November and she had no idea was to expect.

Fleur was finally done with school, it was a great moment for her. She could hardly wait to grab her diploma and leave, not wanting to be stuck in the school a moment longer. She was keen on going out and finding her future husband and start her life. She wanted to model perhaps, she wasn't very sure what she was going to do. Maybe first go back to England for a little while, though she did enjoy living in New Zealand. Flavio made his speech and she was surprised he didn't mention his girlfriend at all, though she wasn't too surprised having a thought that really it was still a cover up and he actually wanted to be with Rory. She glanced over at her fellow Slytherin still laughing in her head at the face he had made when they first met and she had busted into the boy's dorm. She wondered briefly what he planned on doing after school, she didn't he was honestly the smartest guy at the school but he could have more street smarts than others. Evelyn was nearby and she was glad she had made friends with the blonde, it was one of the best decisions she had ever made. She watched as so many of her classmates had gathered their diplomas until it was her turn as well. She was happy to receive and be finished with school. She felt proud of her accomplishments, not that there were many she had made but she was proud of herself at least.

Rama Mowry had a lot of feelings going into her graduation. She entered Hogwarts a brat, and she was now much less of a brat than she was. Although he was a year younger than her, she was leaving with a boyfriend who supported her. She was on good terms with Professor Pendleton and her Head of House, which was a great accomplishment for her. The girl listened loosely as the Head Boy and Head Girl spoke. She did not know either of them very well, so she was not personally inclined to listen to them as if she found them important. Soon, their speeches were over, and it was time for her to receive her diploma. If she was being honest with herself, she had not worked as hard as she should have for it. However, there were opportunities that she could find to better herself at magic. Rama smiled as it was her turn to receive her diploma. She took the piece of parchment and looked to the crowd. She quickly spotted Syrus and Professor Pendleton. However, her own father was nowhere to be seen, which she had expected. She still couldn't help but be a little disappointed in the man who had assisted in bringing her into this world. She then went back to her seat until the ceremony was over.
