Even with her own graduation ceremony and associated end-of-school-life tasks to think about back in America, Leah was glad that the variety of dates hadn't clashed so horribly as to disallow her from being able to come and watch Matthew's ceremony in New Zealand. Because he had left Ilvermorny so many years ago, Leah had never really thought about the fact that they wouldn't be graduating together until only recently, and it made her intensely happy to be here at Hogwarts to at least be able to share this special day with him. It was curious to be here, actually, and Leah had tried to take in as much of the grounds and castle as she'd been able to see on her way into the Great Hall, trying to use the mental map of Matthew's photographs and Rory's stories together to match her surroundings she now found herself in.
Once she had entered the hall, Leah had strived to catch sight of Matthew immediately. She hadn't been able to physically see him since last Christmas, and now that they were in relatively close proximity again she felt entirely too hungry to see his face again. Reflexively, it still felt a little embarrassing to want to observe him so intently, but now that Leah knew that they both shared the same feelings for each other she didn't feel at all terrible about it. Glad that she managed to catch Matthew's eye before the ceremony properly began, Leah gave him a small wave and a smile before focusing her attention on finding a good seat. The speeches felt slightly strange to listen to, so applicable to her own situation and yet not directed to her at all, and Leah waited eagerly for it to be time for Matthew to walk across the stage and receive his diploma. Once his name was called she began clapping immediately, a brilliant smile stretched across her face. She was so proud of him; so proud of the decision he had made to transfer to this school. At the grin Matthew sent her once having found his seat again, Leah beamed back at him in return. The speech-makers had been quite certain that he would have a bright future ahead of him, and she was immensely glad that she would get to see it.
