Working with Rose was pretty fun, the girl wasn’t someone he’d known particularly well given that they were in different years, but he knew kauri and kauri and her were dating and they’d met on a few occasions outside of the Wild Patch but it was because of the wild patch that they knew each other. Today, was their first official event as wild patch co-leaders as king and queen. They had decided for something simple, a planting festival. There were lots of empty spaces for people to plant things in. There were a lot of seeds about the place and just an occasion to get down into the dirt and plant something. An event that would not be for everyone but that would still certainly be quite enjoyable. He had clearly marked the areas and was sitting down with a table filled with various plant seeds, things that people could pick from to grow. He had a flower crown on his head and his fingers were a little dirty from digging around a bit and getting things ready but he was so ready for this event. ”This is going to be amazing!” he grinned happily at Rose as he spoke.
OOCOut of Character:

WPC event - just flower planting, open to members and people looking to join but didn't during the Club fair

Rose had been happy to work on this together with Norton, and had come to really like the boy. He reminded her a bit of Kauri, though she obviously liked Kauri a lot more. The boy was always enthusiastic, and they had both been happy to plan the event they were hosting today. Rose had been pretty busy with her NEWTs, but that didn't stop her from working hard for this event. It was fairly simple, members of the club could plant flowers in their own little patch of land and then take care of them. They had another event in mind in order to use the flowers they had grown. She hoped they would be able to do that as well. Norton was wearing a flower crown, and Rose put one on as well. She usually had one around with red roses on it, as she found it funny to wear her namesake. "It is!" She said excitedly. "I'm so excited!"

Selene was sitting in the garden reading. she had received a note about the wild patch club even and she was looking forward to it. She enjoyed digging in the garden and growing plants and now after only a year and a had learned a few spells to help them along even though she sort of felt like it was rushing their life when they should have time to grow and feel the soil. She saw the two club leaders make their way to the club and start to set up and she finished her page and then put it away and made her way over to them. "Hello Rosie, and Norton" she said. "can I help you get set up?" she asked. looking at the seeds sitting ready to be planted. she tried to remember what she had learned about plants when she was at home but she didn't recognise many of them. except for sunflower seeds and poppy seeds.

Rose looked up as the first of their members came in, and she smiled at the young girl. "Hello Selene!" Rose said, having made an effort to remember the names of the members, though she wasn't sure if she knew them all. "I think we're all set. You can pick out which flowers you want to grow, and if you need any help we are here to help you out." She was placing little notes with names near the seeds so people would know what they were growing. "Just have fun with it." She told Selene with a smile.

Mazikeen had been pleased when the wild patch club had decided to host its events, with the exams just around the corner the girl was pretty keen to get outside and get her hands dirty. She reached the wild patch area and noted that not too many people had arrived yet. She waved happily at all of the people who were there but just focused on picking some seeds. She’d worn some older clothes nothing too fancy or nice for this, fully expecting that she’d probably get quite muddy. She wouldn’t mind it either, it would probably be quite nice. She picked some poppy seeds and then headed to a little corner of the patch and just began planting. It was nice to get her hands in the dirt - even if she was using tools and just focus on getting everything together to plant them. She could let her mind settle and ease as she only focused on the task that was in front of her. It was just a welcome distraction from all of the exam madness.

Aonghas wasn’t sure why he was still a part of the wild patch, he had joined so that he could speak to the girl who’d sold him his wand, he hadn’t had any deep desire to spend any more time with the plants and outdoors. But he could admit he liked the manual labour behind it. He arrived at the area despite himself, not willing to admit he was a little eager to give it a try. Just let himself enjoy things that he knew most other people would rather, what his parents would rather. He was at Hogwarts, so far from all of his family, what would it matter what he did. He arrived at the area, knowing the king of flowers from the quidditch team but not really knowing the others which stood about, well until he remembered that the younger girl talking to the queen was someone he had met once, Selene or something. ”Hey Selene,” he greeted as he picked at random some seeds for him to use in planting. He had learned everything he needed to, so he felt confident in his ability to plant flowers.

Minnie didn’t have time for all of these events, there was so much else to do and she knew that if she didn’t do well in the exams there was no way she’d be able to go to yuleball and there was even less way that she would be able to convince her parents that all of the extras she did were worth it. She liked being a part of things, enjoyed being able to take part in events, play quidditch and everything else. She just needed to focus, work hard and not once let herself relax. It was why despite this being an outdoors calm event, she was really the opposite image of someone who was calm. She was managing to read in every spare moment but she was relatively stressed more so than before, these exams were just important. Once she figured out that she could do well with all of it, she could focus and make sure that she could do in every term which followed. She just needed to get over this period. She arrived at the gardens and folded the page in her book before she found a spot where it could just sit. She walked up to the people at the make shift table and looked at the different flowers she could pick from. She wasn’t sure which one to go for, they were all such good choices and she had no way of knowing which one would be best.

Padme was very excited about the club event, she hadn’t really been to any before and she was very keen for this one. She had the flower crown she’d gotten at the club fair on and was making her way to the gardens where she knew the event would be. Her faze shifted between the different people, she knew some of them from her house and a few others from about the place. It was easy to recognise certain people in school because there were only a limited amount. The hufflepuff smiled at the various people in a friendly manner but she didn’t know any of them and without Jace, Cyrus or any of her other friends. Instead though she took some daisy seeds and then found a little spot of the ground to work on. Being at a school without any technology had really helped her appreciate the outdoors more so than she had ever before. She got to work, remembering all that she had learned, keeping her gaze firmly upon it.

Vader did not have time for this. He yawned into his hands as he headed out of the school. He did not have time for this but he was going anyway. His sleep seemed to be getting worse again, he just lay awake at night. He thought it was just as bad as it had been over halloween, with a few hours lost every night with more hours lost the closer it got to the event. Rather than some 8 hours of sleep he was closer to 6, and even after halloween it hadn’t gone back fully to what it was being closer to seven most nights, just enough so that he had enough energy but always less than he wanted. On the night before the presentation for Ancient runes he just hadn’t slept at all, that being the second time it happened during this semester and with the stress mounting he was worried it would happen again - no sleep was bad. There was mounting pressure from every direction, so he did not have time for this and yet here he was. Vader had decided against the flower crown this time and instead wore the red cap from Helene, it would keep both the sun and his own hair out of his eyes as he worked. Stepping closer he spotted Padme at an empty patch in the wild patch. He decided to go over and see her, they hadn’t spoken much despite being at school together, ”Hey Padme!” the boy said as he approached with a little warm smile reserved for his family crossed his features.

Padme’s head snapped up at the sound of the voice and she couldn’t help the little smile on her features when she saw him, ”Vader!” she exclaimed happily before wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug, ”So good to see you,” she spoke softly before pulling away. Her brother seemed tired but she was half convinced he always looked like that. She hadn’t known he was part of the club until now but Padme was glad to see him. ”Is that hat new? You know what mama would say about it,” she joked with a little smile, she knew that their mother loved Vader’s hair, to see it even a little hidden with a hat wouldn’t be something she liked. ”Do you want to help me?” she asked him. Despite going to school together they didn’t spend a whole lot of time together, certainly not as much as they might’ve if they had both been in the same house. She could see his camera but hoped he’d put that down in favour of time spent with her.

Vader was a little surprised with the force of the hug, but it only took a moment for him to ease into it, hugging her back with as much force as she was showing him. He smiled easily at her when she pulled away, ”You know you can call me Timmy, it’s not just Helene who can do that,” he didn’t mind his name nearly as much when she said it. They’d grown up with each other, with solidarity in their names, but he was rather hopeful that she’d use it. She’d heard Helene say it enough time when she’d spent time living with them. He rolled his eyes at her a little when she asked about his hat, ”It was a birthday present from Helene,” the boy told her, ”And I just won’t wear it around mum,” he joked back lightly. Vader looked at what she was doing, ”Sure, but let me get a picture of you first, for mum,” He said, taking the camera and after she posed a little took the picture. He was sure it would come out nice. He placed it on the ground away from the dirt and looked back towards her. He looked at the seeds she had and then got started helping Padme was nice. It was good to spend a little time with her.

Alice had braided flowers into her hair for the event, and had a bright smile on her face as she entered the club space. She was looking forward to this a lot, and felt really proud that her sister was now running the club. She waved at Rose, then looked around to see if there was anyone she knew. She spotted Vader taking a picture of a girl, and headed over. She smiled, looking between him and the young girl. "Hi Vader, who is your friend?" She asked, curious.

Lars had his hands stuffed in his pockets and his shoulders slightly hunched as he arrived at the event. He honestly loved flowers and nature, but meetings always made him nervous. There were so many people there, and he had no idea what to do with himself. The club leaders said they could plant flowers, and Lars immediately knew he wanted to plant some sunflowers, which were his favorite. He decided to wait a bit to get the seeds until less people were crowding around them, and drifted over to Aonghas. "Hello..." He said timidly. He still wasn't sure if the other boy enjoyed his company or not.

Padme gave her brother a bit of a strained expression at his insistence at the different name. she got it, could understand why he wanted that rather than the name their parents had given him, but she didn't want to call him Timmy, for all the problems he was Vader to her, always had been. her expression softened as he talked about where the hat was from and even more so when he agreed to help her out. They could have a little fun. She stuck her tongue out and made a face as he took the picture. She focused on planting once more while Vader carefully put down the camera. She looked back up when a girl, someone who appeared to be able Vader's age appeared and asked about Padme. She grinned at the girl, quickly wiping her slightly dirty hands on her trousers before holding out her hand to her, "I'm Padme, his sister," she introduced with a warm expression gracing her features.

Selene smiled as rose greeted her. and explained what they would be doing. "That sounds fun" she said. She took a tray and looked at the seeds. she picked up some sunflowers, some lupin and foxglove and some dahlias. the sunflowers were a different colour to the other plants but she liked the flower. She turned around as she recognised her name and then saw who had spoken. "Hello Aonghas" she said. when they had first met she had found him annoying. whilst she hadn't really gotten to know him well, but she had realised that he had just trying to be nice. "I haven't seen you in a while. didnt realise you were in the wild patch club." she said. By the time she had picked the seeds, there were a lot more people in the meeting. there were a couple of people who were chatting a lot, and a few people she didn't know
she found herself some space in the flowerbed and was just about to start planning where things went when she recognised someone else who joined her and Aonghas. "Hello Lars. how are you?" she said. despite the fact they were both in the same house and year they were both, for the most part, kept to themselves though she was sociable from time to time.

Chante didn't know how the other prefects manage their busy schedules, she was finding it a little hard to keep up with duties, lessons, and club-related events. It was maddening. Chante needed help adjusting a little more to everything. Chante dropped out of the SDA club and felt it was the right thing to do to make her schedule less hectic and so she can better enjoy being a part of the Wild Patch club. The switch wasn't much of a surprise to those who know her, Chante loved growing things in the garden back home. Mostly fruits and vegetables were the main things she grew, sometimes she grew flowers when her dad bought her packets of flower seeds. Chante came around, greeting her good friend Norton and the others club goers. "Hey, did I miss anything?" Chante asked Norton, she sees that they were well on their way to planting seeds into the ground. Chante fetches one of the seed packets, sunflowers ones and joins the others in planting the sunflower seeds. Chante tied her hair up to make sure it wasn't in her way and worked on digging her own spot in the flowerbed.

Kace knew nothing about gardening. Absolutely nothing about gardening. He lived in the busy city, in which community garden was a thing, he was just never interested in growing anything before coming to Hogwarts. He joins the Wild Patch club on a whim and possibly to be closer to his friend Elliot. Kace spotted him at the club fair for a brief second and then left to enjoy the outdoors. He wasn't sure if Elliot had joined, regardless, Kace showed up at his first Wild Patch event with an open mind. Kace bounces near the two club hosts, rocking back and forth on his heels to his toes. The boy's lips stretched wide to his famous, big grin. "Sup, I'm new," Kace informed them. "What are you guys up to?"

Out of all the school clubs so far, the Wild Patch Club had seemed like the most inviting to Elliot. His first year had been filled with so many different new skills and people, he'd felt the push more this year to try out some new things for himself and finally gotten the courage to sign up. Now that their first club activity had rolled around, Elliot found himself suddenly anxious again, a feeling not helped by the fact that he'd managed to be late for their first meeting. Shuffling over to the group, Elliot was relieved that everything seemed to be pretty informal, and relaxed even more at the sight of several familiar faces in the club, giving Rose a quick wave as he looked around. He saw Lars nearby, seemingly talking to Aonghas, and hesitated about joining them, unsure if he should interrupt, before spotting Kace. "Kace, hey," He said, moving over to his other friend to peer at the seeds at the table. "I didn't know you were in Wild Patch," He wasn't sure why it surprised him to see Kace here, gardening didn't really seem his speed, but Elliot could be easily be wrong about that.

Sage loved Wild patch events and she was a particularly big fan of the flower planting events that were quite a regular occurrence. She made her way to the Hogwarts garden where the flower planting events were always held and where Sage spent a great deal of her spare time and smiled at the club leaders as she arrived. "Hi Rose, great to see everyone together, thanks for setting this up, you too Norton," She smiled at them both before she grabbed some plants to pot and went over to get to work on planting them.

William had been excited to join an outdoorsy club at Hogwarts, but he still couldn't really tell what he thought of the Wild Patch. Their name seemed at odds with a plain, ordinary gardening club, and William was still waiting for them to do anything that could be considered really wild. After the amount of times he and Maddy had snuck away to the Forbidden Forest, it felt a bit twee to be calling a flower planting club 'Wild'.

And a flower planting club seemed to be exactly what they were today. William wasn't wild about the idea, but at least it was something to do. Despite it being one of his sanctuaries away from Maddy's popularity, William hadn't really managed to make any friends at all in this club. So he grabbed a couple of flowers at random and looked around. Vader was the only person he really knew and the other boy looked busy, so William just found a place for himself, keeping his head down as he tried to get the flowers planted as quickly as possible.

Nell had been excited all semester to return to the Wild Patch. She had always loved gardening, and it was exciting to do something she enjoyed so much surrounded by so many people who all loved it too. Nell had never had many friends to talk about plants with, and she relished the companionship. Most of Nell's own plants were succulents though, and so far she hadn't know much about many of the plants they were growing in the Wild Patch. So when she went through the flowers available, selecting a pretty purple one, Nell had plenty of questions. "What kind of flower is this?" She asked the girl in charge, assuming she was likely to know about what they were planting today.

It's clear as day to whoever messed around with dirt and plants to know what the group was busy at task here. Kace glimpse down at his hands and really consider if he really wanted to get his hands dirty. The only honest time his hands touch the ground was when he was tying his shoelaces or spontaneously performing a breakdance move. Kace did the whole double knot thing with the laces and needed more work on spinning like a top on the floor, so he avoids it. "Ellio! I'm new, I think," Kace wasn't sure if he will stick around, Elliot was a friend and all but that wasn't enough to convince him to stay and roll around in dirt. "I wanted to try something new and saw you at the thing, the club fair," Kace corrected. "I dunno, maybe I'll stay or find something else to do. It's not like they have any options for dancers like me."

Rose was pleased to see more and more people come in and enjoy themselves. They started planting the flowers, and she tried to see if anyone needed her help with anything. A young boy came up to her and Norton and she grinned at him. "Sup, I'm not." She told him jokingly. "We're trying to see if anyone needs help, then I'm also going to grow some flowers." She told him. The boy was then drawn into a conversation with another boy, and a younger girl came up to them too to talk. "No problem Sage." She said with a smile. "I hope you enjoy the event." She was just thinking she might get to plant something now, but a girl asked a question. "That's a petunia." She told the girl after taking a look at it.

Alice was surprised to hear the girl was his sister, but then noticed the resemblance. "Oh, hello!" She said brightly. "Nice to meet you Padme." It was an interesting name, much like Vader. Alice wondered if it was a name from another language. "You're a first year? How are you settling in so far?" She asked the girl curiously. She had seen her around the common room, so knew she was a Hufflepuff, but she didn't think they had ever spoken.

Lars hadn't noticed that Aonghas had been speaking to someone already, and felt embarrassed when he realized he had probably interrupted their conversation. "Sorry." He said automatically, blushing a little. "I'm alright... how are you Selene?" He didn't know the girl very well, but she had always seemed friendly to him. At least, she didn't seem like the type to make fun of him, and that was always nice.
