Open Brotherhood Meeting: Snowball Fight!

Henry's reaction was swift and he tried to avoid the snowball he had thrown. He quickly tried to make one snowball to throw at the same thrower who was trying to bite him. It was fun and he felt proud, hoping he would hit. It was better to warm up now, and then he prepared for a bigger pitch to throw at the some more snowball.

Jacob heard the countdown and raced to grab a snowball, but wasn't fast enough to send it off before he was pelted with one, right in the chest. He made a small surprised noise, not even bothering to try to figure out where it came from as snowballs were flying in every direction. As far as Jacob was concerned, the people on the opposite side were all targets. Jacob reared his arm back and then threw his snowball straight at the Head Boy @Simon Vanity .

Sully was still laughing at Daintree's smack talk that he didn't have time to react when Daintree nailed him with his first snowball, stumbling and cackling even though the hit stung a bit. "Oh it's on, get him, Noël!" He called, spotting his roommate in the fray. Sully ducked down low, scooping up a snowball and returning fire, hoping with two of them on Daintree they might get a hit. @Daintree Vaskevold @Noel Waldgrave

Teddy squeaked in horror as the snowballs started flying. Being on the same team as the Slytherins made him feel oddly happy, like maybe he could be less of a family disappointment by proximity to them, and abandoned his idea of sitting out. He didn't really know any of the boys here and was scared he'd make someone mad by hitting them with snow, but he didn't want to let his team down. He launched a snowball at random, the force of his throw causing him to slip and fall down into a red-faced tangle of limbs on the ground.

Linden heard the countdown and readied himself to take aim. IT was clear that some people were aiming their throws others on purpose though he didn't know them well enough to know if it was at friends or people they didn't like or that had some other rivalries with others were just throwing at random and just hoping they hit someone. Linden didn't really know anyone well enough to have a rivalry with. the only Slytherin there that he knew was henry and he didn't want to upset his friend. at least night right away. so instead he took one of his balls and threw it at random towards one of the boys who looked a little bit older than him.
@Tyler Lee

Somehow, even though Abian had thought of the idea and had been the one to give the starting signal, he hadn't been prepared for the chaos. Abian laughed as the head boy hit him in return, hitting him in the chest with snow. "Good one!" He called, then he grabbed another snowball and looked around. He threw the ball at the first Ravenclaw he spotted, a younger boy. He then ducked down close to the ground, hoping to gather more snow before he got hit.

Marco had been watching the fight with a small smile on his face, wishing that he could join in, but without Elio nor Ilija it would probably be less fun. He hadn't been paying enough attention, however, to a snowball that was coming his way. His reflexes weren't fast enough and he instinctively closed his eyes as it hit him, and after a second he brushed himself off and stood up with a grin. Marco gathered some snow and once he found the source of the other snowball, he threw it at the younger boy. He immediately felt bad that many seemed to go the other boy's way, so he gathered some more snow into a ball and decided to throw it at a random Slytherin he didn't know the name of.

Sully had been so focused on Daintree that the second snowball took him by complete surprise. He yelped as cold snow slipped down the back of his collar, smacking at his neck to try to shift the snow as he looked around for the culprit, snowball ready to return fire. He could only spot a tiny Ravenclaw who'd just hit the dirt in a pile limbs and any thoughts of retaliation left Sully's mind as he couldn't help but laugh. Tentatively crossing enemy lines, Sully moved over and pulled the boy to his feet. "You alright?" Sully said, laughing still as he dusted the boy off. "Okay, good." Sully said, giving him one last pat before smushing his ready snowball into the boy's hair, running back to the Gryffinpuff side wheezing with laughter. @Theodore Hoshino

William didn't know why he was bothering with the Brotherhood anymore. He had half a mind to leave entirely. He had only joined to spend time with Abian, and that was pointless now. He had spent the holidays trying to get over his crush, but as William joined the rest of the Brotherhood out in the snow, seeing the boy who was supposed to be his best friend just hurt now. After being in love with Abian for so long, it felt deeply unfair to have to just... hang out with him. With Abian not knowing anything about how he felt. He listened quietly as Abian explained what they were doing today, heart sinking a little more at the team assignments. Abian hadn't even put them on the same team. He was on the same team as Jacob instead. Of course. The first of the people who had stolen Abian away from him. Once the game began William scooped up the biggest snowball he could and hocked it at Jacob with perhaps a bit more malice than was necessary for a friendly snowball fight. That felt good.
@Jacob Kingsley

Blake couldn't have been happier about today's Brotherhood event. He hung out close to Tyler as he waited for the fight to begin, ready to absolutely wreck shop on the other team. This was exactly the kind of event Blake could get into. Once the game began he scooped up a snowball and hocked it at a random boy on the other team, laughing in delight. This was perfect.

Teddy hadn't expected his snowball to actually hit anyone and was terrified when the older boy approached. He flailed on the ground before letting the Gryffindor help him up, tentatively relieved that the older boy didn't seem to harbour any ill will over the attack. His relief, and the snowball in his hair, were squashed, and Teddy let out an outraged howl as he realised what the boy had just done to him. His hair was ruined, and also he was freezing, but Teddy's newfound anger made him brave enough to try aiming another snowball, at the club president this time.

ughhh I am so late guys don't kill me

Zennon, for the most part, had managed to stay out of the line of fire of the snowballs for the most part, although that probably had to do with him being a baby and hiding from everyone. He didn't want to get his hair wet, so sue him. Not to mention Elsie had cornered him that morning and demanded he let her paint his nails black, apparently she was in mourning... or something, so now they all had to deal with it. Zennon rolled his eyes at the thought. He wasn't exactly sure what she was in mourning for, but, eh, he didn't care really, he had his own problems to deal with, like Sam and her uncertain future... and other things he would never speak of. When he did finally make himself known, it was only to throw a snow ball he'd scooped up at someone, though he had no specific target in mind and just hoped he'd thrown it at the right person, he didn't have great aim. Probably why he wasn't on the Quidditch team really.

Lysander had been so excited for another Brotherhood event. More so when he realised they'd be playing out in the snow. That was way more fun than trivia! The boy had dressed in his warmest clothes and trudged out onto the lawn. The way the teams were split up meant that he got to team with Wendall, and gave him an excuse to attack the older bigot boys with snowballs. Perfect! The moment it started, Sander dived off to his own corner of the area to avoid the volley of snow, and got to work pushing a pile of it into a makeshift fort he could take cover behind. He'd heard someone say that "the best defense was a good offense", and immediately realised the second it had crossed his mind that it totally didn't apply to what he was trying to do here at all. Whatever, he was sure there was some good saying about how good of an idea it was to build a snow fort, and if there wasn't he'd just have to make one up. "Okay Wendall, you can start making snowballs, and I'll make an impenetrable wall. The other team is going to lose so hard." He told his friend. Wendall would need the cover the most, he thought. His friend was too much of a magnet for getting hurt, so he'd have to be the one to defend him.

Wendall was very much looking forward to getting involved with the snowball fight, and was even more so when Lysander immediately suggested they made a wall to hide behind. No one else seemed to have that idea and instead were just attacking each other mercilessly. “Alright!” He nodded at the Griffindor, situating himself behind the lump that would eventually become their wall and packing solid little snowballs tightly together with his gloved hands. “We need to be sneaky!” Hitting people from unexpected angles was going to work much more in their favour instead of flinging balls about aimlessly. The Hufflepuff was crouched behind the “wall” as he was scouting for the first targets. Suddenly he lunged forward and threw a hard little ball at @Blake Irons recognising him from Ledas team and hoping he was too distracted himself to realise where it had come from.

Tres had been making the most of the snowy weather, and was sat on a bench on the lawn with her legs swinging in the air. The new fur boots strapped to her feet were definitely holding up and so far these socks hadn’t gotten wet at all. The third year had a little pink notebook out on her lap and was writing when she heard commotion a short distance away. Her eyes widened as she saw like a million boys out in the snow. What were they, like a gaggle of guys? She stared for a moment trying to figure out what was going on, recognising many familiar faces. Suddenly the commotion hit a new level and it was like a herd just sprung into attack mode, lobbing snow at one another. Oh heck. Boys. When the girls were trying to better themselves with Heta, was this what the boys were doing? Tres was becoming increasingly nervous about the amount of snow flying about, so quickly she packed up her things and hurried around the group and ran back up to the castle, her peaceful time outside having come to an end, and disappeared back inside before she could get accidentally bludgered.

Post is president approved!

With everything going on, Elio had managed to miss the memo that the brotherhood wasn’t being hosted in the usual place and it had taken him a while to figure out where everybody was. Eventually he got word they were out on the lawn, and headed outside pulling his jacket closer to his body and jogged over to the group. By the looks of things it the houses were split into two teams, but spotting @Marco Mariani he couldn’t resist a thought running through his head. The prefect clumped some snow together, and placing himself behind the Hufflepuff a short distance away, took aim. Anyone watching may have thought he was aiming for the Ravenclaw that was now the other side of Marco, but Elios snowball hit its intended target. He starting laughing at his own joke, grabbing some more snow and bounding up beside him, “Sorry, missed,” giving a cheek smile and shrugging, before throwing another snowball into a sea of green as if to help prove his point.
