Hello one and all! Here we are for another BWU from myself, and let's get right to it!
Exam Week
Like clockwork, the exam week arrives again. Exams run from Monday to Wednesday with all grading due by Friday 5pm (GMT). That means this is your last chance to get those lesson posts in before the time the semester ends, and it is too late.
Quidditch
Another quidditch game has been and gone, head on over here to read all about the other school's quidditch game and find out who will be facing off against one of the Hogwarts teams in the interschool game.
HNZ & AI
With the continued rise in usage of AI machines for various things, we decided it was time to introduce an AI policy for the site. This is largely so that everyone can know the dos and don't of AI on the site. The use of AI does take away a little the spirit of RPing. We are not straight out banning the use of it, for some it might be a way to get ideas, to tease elements out or to see how a character might be, however, we are going to be placing some restrictions on it. For one, we are banning the use of it for replies to lessons. This is because the work put in will then affect the points total and takes away from those putting in original work. Lessons are not mandatory but because they gain something work has to be original. We are also banning it from any OOC site competitions that we may run, again as it'll detract from the work put in by people. For images, that will be up to people's discretion, but much like OOC competitions you cannot use an AI generated image to win IC Halloween costume competitions.
If you spot someone using AI in any of the above (lessons or competitions) please report the post to us and we'll do the checks and then contact the RPer. If you are uncertain, do not do any digging yourself, just flag it and we'll do it.
This above policy will sit with the rest of the guidance that we have, not just here in the BWU by the end of the week. If you have specific questions on this please reach out to the admin about these.

We are also in September and thus the new month has meant that a new character spotlight. This month it is: Lilith Ilves, RPed by Faye. Take a moment to head on over here to read the announcement and then check out Lilith's bio. It's a great read. Congratulations Faye!
