I might as well do this whilst I'm sitting here doing nothing so let me just;
Annika Nightray - Just Nik to most, is the kind of girl you might find sitting in the middle of chaos with perfect composure, eating chocolate-orange ice cream like it’s the only thing that matters in the world. She's a self-proclaimed connoisseur of comfort, control and casually not caring and she's got all the elements of the typical spoilt rich girl, but not in the in the loud, bragging kind of way. In the “I’m not spending my money because that’s how you stay rich” way. Which is ridiculous for an eleven year old. I wouldn't say she's lazy though, more strategic, because she prefers to let her older brother pay for everything - in the vain that if he doesn't pay for it she's going to walk out of whatever stores she's in regardless. It's gotten her into trouble once or twice. She doesn't tend to rush into anything, and she doesn't often see any reason to panic or waste energy on something unless it's really worth it. She's just smart enough to see through dramatics and just bold enough to ignore rules that don't make logical sense to her. After all, if her brother can do it, so can she. She's polite when she wants to be and indifferent when she doesnt, and she tends to be quietly calculating under her calm exterior. She's not rude, but she does believe in selective generosity. She wouldn't share her ice cream with you, but she'd pull out a chair and invite you to it. That's just manners. Nik lives in the in-between: not the most exceptional Nightray sibling, not the loudest, not the golden child - but certainly not invisible. She moves through the world quietly, observing everything, keeping her coins (and thoughts) close, and always - always - finishing her ice cream first.
Verdict: I'm feeling Slytherin, but I could see Gryffindor.
Marina Vortalis - there's a fine line between quiet obedience and quiet rebellion and that's the line where Marina generally lives. on the surface she tends to seem like the kid who follows all the rules, reserved, well-behaved, and unassuming all things considered; but underneath that quiet exterior is a sharp wit, fierce independence and a girl who's learned how to carve out tiny pockets of freedom for herself in her own way where no ones watching. she's really observant, thoughtful and she tends to keep to herself in most public places, not because she's shy, but because she's cautious - used to keeping her world small and safe for herself and her younger siblings. She doesn't tend to trust easily due to her background (her mother isn't around) but she's not really unkind. when she does speak, it's usually dry honesty or blunt enough to catch people kind of off guard. She doesn't mean to be rude, but she has a really low tolerance for pretence and she doesn't see the point in sugarcoating a lot of things. however despite her tendency to stay in the background, she's always analysing her surroundings, sizing people up, listening in on conversation and tucking information away for later. this runs into her sense of responsibility, especially when it comes to her siblings. Marina is the kind of girl who will say she doesn't care - and then still show up every single time. she's clever and resourceful, and enjoys her small indulgences that she can take for herself in peace. Her tastes are a little odd, her humour a little dry, and her emotions carefully folded behind a wall she only lets a few people see over. But if you earn her trust, she’s loyal in a way that matters.
Verdict: I'm also feeling Slytherin for Marina, but I wouldn't be surprised if she got Hufflepuff
Lewis Edogawa - the previous baby of the edogawa family and now recent older brother, lewis is the son of professor Conan Edogawa and Tengu Coach Taylor Blare. he's a chatty and curious kid with a boundless love for all things quidditch (much like the rest of his siblings) with a bit of a bad habit of accidentally getting underfoot. he's not especially quiet, in fact, once he gets going, especially about his favourite quidditch team, or a brilliant broom manoeuvre, it can be very hard to shut him up. he's always full of questions and he has stream of consciousness thoughts that can throw people off pretty easily. he has that youthful confidence that means he pretty much considers himself invincible. (as you do when you're like 12) he's not immune to things getting tense or weird though and when that happens his energy tends to fizzle into confusion. lewis thrives with active and fun environments and he's no stranger to the air. he likes to be involved in whatever capacity that entails. he's generally his happiest when he's got a broom in his hands, flying loops, reenaticing iconic quidditch plays, and he wants to be a part of things, even if he doesn't always know how to help. he can get frustrated when he's told to sit down or to stay out of the way. he does try though - mostly. ultimately, lewis is loyal and warmhearted, and he has a lot of spirit. he's a little clumsy, but that doesn't matter when he's not on the ground and he has an endless love of quidditch, and flying specifically. he might not always understand what's going on around him, but he cares deeply - and that shows.
Verdict: I'm seeing Gryffindor for him, but I wouldn't be disappointed by any options
Taylor Davids - she's pure motion, constantly moving, tapping, shifting. sitting still feels like a punishment for her really. she tends to thrive in the middle of chaos, and she's quick to act and even quicker to think. she tends to get a bit impatient when things drag out or when people overthink. she's impulsive, the kind that doesn't like to wait to make a choice or decision but its all driven but a sharp need to move and an open heart. she's willing to share with anyone, her food, her thoughts, her notes and mostly without a second thought. she doesn't generally care who you are, as long as you're someone and you're preferably interesting or kind (or both). with a doctor for a dad and a muggle nurse for a mum, she's grown up mostly in the muggle world and this has definitely impacted her perception of the world. she's grown up around the urgency and care and the occasional chaos of people who are in need. it's taught her to move fast, stay calm and always notice when someone is hurting or needs help. (especially if they don't ask for it) she's not trying to be a hero, but she is the kind of person who offer her coat in the rain and act like its not big deal. she's got a quirky kind of vibe and marches to her own drum. she loves the strange and unexpected and she doesnt care much for rules as long as she can do something that matters. she's always buzzing with ideas and she loves to try new things.
Verdict: Probably Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, it would really depend on her helping vs being driven I think.
