Landon was looking forward to this year's club fair. He always hoped he would see all of the first years signing up for clubs, as clubs were an integral part of Hogwarts. Landon was excited to get everything organised for it this year. The man much preferred it in the courtyard, where there was fresh air, especially on a nice spring's day. Landon hung up a banner reading "Welcome to the Y47 Club Fair" in bright orange letters, and set up all of the tables with a plain white tablecloth, as well as another table in the centre with some snacks, including some chocolate frogs. Of course, he also had to add some potted plants on the snacks table for a decorative touch. How else would anyone know that it was him that set the place up? Landon then looked back at the set up and smiled. He couldn't wait for the club leaders to arrive and begin setting up their tables, as he was confident that this year's club fair was going to run smoothly.

Miranda was nervous about this, she didn't necessarily feel old or experienced enough to be one of the co-editors of the paper. At least she wasn't doing it alone, Hugo was smart and responsible and she was relieved to be working with him on this. The paper was a little understaffed, and Miranda was determined to recruit some new writers. She was certain there had to be people keen to write, and even if what they wrote was awful at least it would be something. They could only really get better with practice, after all, and it wasn't as though it was a professional thing.

She had arrived at the club fair early out of nerves, and had set up the stand with a few older editions of the paper, a couple of sign up sheets, and some snacks which didn't really have anything to do with anything but hopefully would lure people over. Likely, though, it wasn't enough, so once the first years started showing up, after a couple of moments of sitting around with a placid smile on her face, she stood up and cupped her hands around her mouth. "Extra, extra, read all about it! Hogwarts Monthly needs you! Writers, reporters, poets, photographers, you name it, we want it! Come join us today!"

OOCOut of Character:
feel free to tag me @Miranda Dawes or Mia @Hugo Stark-West if you'd like to sign up for Hogwarts Monthly!

Teddy had not expected Soren to hand over the leadership of the Brotherhood to him, but now it was his and the competitive fourth year wanted to make it the best club of them all. Teddy first task was to recruit new members which he felt unusually nervous about as it was all new territory to him.

He set up a display with a banner he had found, photos from past events, and a table piled high with snacks. He stood at the stand holding a clipboard and hopeful that signups would come to him before long.

Penelope knew she hadn't done as much with Heta Omega as she had wanted to last year and was determined to make up for it this year. She had decorated her stand and put little chocolates on a tray for students who joined, as well as a signup list and a few colorful pens. She pinned some photos of past events up for everyone to see as well, she hoped they would get a lot of new members today.

OOCOut of Character:
Please @Penelope Marshall if you want to join Heta Omega!

Morrie had given up on Quidditch and needed a new outlet for her negative energy. Deeply irritated by the gossip article that had alluded to her more than once last semester, she decided that the Hogwarts Monthly would be her next target. It would serve as their punishment and her attempt to control the press narrative at Hogwarts. With determination in her stride, she stomped over to where Miranda was calling out for new members.

"Yes, me!" Morrie declared firmly. "I’d like to help with Hogwarts Monthly and I can do all those things you said. And more!" She said, reaching for one of the sign up sheets.

@Miranda Dawes

A club fair? Elio had never been to one of those, mostly because being homeschooled meant he didn't have any clubs to attend. It would be kind of cool though to be in some. Maybe one or two, though he had no idea which ones. Somewhere he could make friends? Okay, he could do this! He walked into the courtyard and had a look around at what was on offer. He saw a younger boy that he recognised from the house meeting and headed over to introduce himself. "Hi, I'm Elio, so... what's the brother hood about anyway?" He perused the snacks and picked up a donut. "Are these vegan?"

@Teddy Pirrip

Rose wasn't sure if groups were really her thing, but any chance to get to know other people outside of her siblings might be a good thing, right? That made sense, and so as she entered the courtyard she looked around at the groups to try and figure out what she might want to do. She noted a table decorated really nicely and an older girl who looked to be in Hufflepuff if the lighting on her was correct. She thought she'd vaguely seen her at the sorting ceremony escorting her brother away, so perhaps she was a Prefect? A Prefect and a club leader, that makes sense, all the club leaders were prefects in Mohoutokoro. Psyching herself up, keeping her shaking hands to a minimum - crowds really were not her thing - she headed over to the girl and picked up a chocolate. "Hajimemashite... I'm Rose... I can join?" Was there an initiation? Merlin she hoped not, but Ru had said there might be. She didn't think she could deal with an initiation!

@Penelope Marshall

"Hi Rose!" Tori called as she walked into the Courtyard and saw her roommate already at one of the tables. It looked like some kind of club for girls, and seeing as Tori was also a girl, it seemed like the perfect club for her to join, among other things of course. Rushing over, she stood beside Rose and looked at the photos from some events that had happened. Everyone looked like they were having a really great time. She was pretty sure her mum had been in this club, so she should obviously be in it too. "Can I join as well?" She noticed there seemed to be another group as well, her dad and Uncle Lani had been a part of that one, perhaps she could join that as well?

@Penelope Marshall

Teddy smiled when a student approached him and introduced himself, "Hey, Elio! I'm Teddy. Sure, the Brotherhood's about friendship, fun, and support for guys. We organise events, I can help with studies and stuff like that if you need it, and we just generally look out for each other." He glanced at the snacks Elio was eyeing, he had no idea if they were vegan or not. "The donuts, I think they've got milk, eggs and butter in them, so yeah I think they are vegan."

@Elio Boneheart

Elio slowly put the donut on the table. He wouldn't be eating that. But the other stuff sounded pretty cool! "Uhh, I don't think you're going to be much help to me specifically for school work, but I appreciate the thought. I think I might have a one up on you for that. But I'd like to join for the other stuff!"

@Teddy Pirrip

Teddy was surprised that Elio refused study help, "Are you sure? I'm really smart, could take my NEWTs now, I reckon," Teddy said, unable to resist the urge to bring up his achievements, "I was top points scorer last year." It was like word vomit, he had to tell everyone. "But no worries, there's something for everyone in the Brotherhood." He handed over the sign-up sheet, with a smile. That was one sign up done and Teddy felt he was on a roll for more now.

@Elio Boneheart

William wanted to see what the club fair had to offer so headed out to the courtyard to see what clubs had a table set up. There were a few he was interested in so he would have to make the rounds but the first he went to was the brotherhood table. There were a few people already around the table engaged in conversation, he ignored people talking and instead went straight for the plate of donuts. “Sorry,” He said with a mouthful. “Can I sign up too?” He had heard enough to want in.

Veronica needed a new challenge heading into the new school year, she had built up a lot of resentment and frustration during the previous year mostly towards one of her fellow gryffindors and she needed an outlet for all of that and sometimes Quidditch wasn’t enough because he was there. She had an idea of where she was heading, skipping the brotherhood and heta omega (she was already a member after all) and made a beeline for the Hogwarts Monthly table. “Hi, I’m a bit of a photographer, and I can do some writing too,”

@Miranda Dawes

Esme didn't know if she was going to join any of the clubs but she still wanted to see what there was so she stepped out into the courtyard. She wasn't there long before her attention fell on the sign for Heta Omega. "Hi, what is Heta Omega?

@Penelope Marshall

Hugo was looking forward to this year. sure he had his OWLs but they were months away. but now he had his new responsabilieits. he had somehow been picked as the Ravenclaw prefect. and now that margo had left he was the main editor of the paper. which in its self was a huge responsibility. today was his first steps in the world of publishing without margo. and instead with Miranda.
he entered the courtyard and sw that miranda had set up the stand. he went over to her "Hello Miranda. congratulations again on co-ediror" he said. "thanks for setting up. do you mind if I add a few things" he said as he added a few more old back editions of the paper that he had found bundled up in a cupboard to the table, some of the old editions were fifteen or twenty years old. in the HM rooms. and he wondered if anyone had parents who had written in them. he also added a box of small reporter style notepads with fun coloured covers that he had convinced his mama to get for the event. "okay are you ready" he asked as the first students started to trickle in. "come and join the paper" he called following hernias lead hoping the could get some more writers as they had lost a few of their good ones to graduation.
OOCOut of Character:
welcome to HM please tag Hugo or @Miranda Dawes if you are interested in joining or want to talk more about it.

Teddy grinned as William approached the table and went straight for the donuts. "No worries and yes you can!" he replied, handing over the sign up sheet. As Veronica walked past, he attempted to catch her eye and say hi, they were teammates after all, but she didn’t notice. Shrugging it off, he turned back to William. "Just write your name here, and you're in." It’s really that simple.

Savannah was very pleased about being named the SDA leader, but she wasn't looking forward to having to interact with people. She didn't love having to be nice to people who were inevitable going to be asking something silly. Perhaps it would've been better for Anisha to do this. But Savannah was there, she was ready for this, and ready to interact with students.

OOCOut of Character:
Please @Savannah Walters for the SDA club

Winnie had decided that she would be joining at least two clubs, something sports related - which wasn't quidditch and then one other. She got to the club fair and began looking around. One of them seemed fairly obvious. The heta omega. She could absolutely join that, it would be a good way to get to know other girls and make friends that could be in other years. She approached the leader and smiled. "Just sign here to sign up," she asked, confirming more than really asking not wanting to bother with listening to a speech about what it was.
@Penelope Marshall

Fraser kind of hoped that he wouldn't end up dealing with too many people. Having to reject them, and turn them down would be hard. But nonetheless, he was still at the club fair and ready to get started on it, if anyone did approach him. He knew he'd see the least amount of action of any club.

Penelope smiled kindly at the first girl to approach, she looked like a first year. She nodded at her question. "Hi Rose! You're free to join, we'd love to have you." She said, gesturing to the list. "You can sign up there." Another girl joined, she seemed to know the first one. Penelope smiled. "Of course! Feel free to sign up as well, and you can have a chocolate."

Another young girl joined them and asked what the club was. Penelope smiled and gestured to the photos. "Hey, Heta Omega is a club for girls to hang out and spend time together, we often pair younger students with older ones to help them and organize fun events." She told her. "It's like a sisterhood." Penelope nodded in confirmation to the girl who asked if she just had to sign up "Yes! Please take a chocolate too." She said kindly.

Sophie knew she wanted to at least join a few clubs. She wanted to make as many friends as possible. The girl, however, wasn't really sure what clubs she wanted to join as she particularly wasn't sure what clubs the school really had. The Ravenclaw decided to have a look around the club fair first to see what clubs has intrigued her. While she walked around she saw a couple that had intrigued her. First, she decided to make her way to the Hogwarts Monthly club. The girl liked to write from time to time, so maybe the club could help her out a bit in a way. "Hi! Where am I able to sign up for this club?" Sophie says happily to the older girl.

@Miranda Dawes

Miranda grinned at Hugo, nodding enthusiastically at his comment. "Thanks for having me on!" she replied, affably. "Sure, no problem! Thanks, these are great!" Sure, being nice didn't always seem to work as well as she liked, but she was happy to work with Hugo, the older boy was clever and she liked reading his book reviews. She really did hope they could be friends, despite the difference in years. She kept the smile on her face, even with a little strain, as Morrie showed up. The Slytherin girl had a kind of reputation in their year level for being unpleasant, something which had come up in her pursuit of gossip last year. Still, it wouldn't do the paper any good not to be polite and accommodating. "Sure, we'd love to have you! Just write down your name and pass it back when you're done," she said, helpfully.

Another older girl appeared and Miranda beamed at her. The paper seemed to be one of those things people tended to gain an interest for after first year. "Oh, awesome, welcome aboard! Happy to give you opportunities for both, if you'd like!" She wasn't going to mention that that was in part because of a dire need of people, she'd just deal with that when they got to the first meeting. Another girl, this time a first year by the looks of it, approached, and Miranda passed over a sign up sheet. This was going better than she'd hoped. "Hi! Just pop your name down here and we'll get you signed up. Welcome!"

Lucy rushed to the courtyard, being a little late. She was excited though - excited to share her enthusiasm for arts and everything magical that came from simply being creative. It was distracting her quite well today, she thought, as she set up a little stall. She'd purchased rather than made some stickers (Lucy wasn't that kind of an artist, unfortunately) of a variety of artistic themes - different instruments, paint brushes, quills, pencils, sculptures, drama masks, and a myriad of others - and had done her best to be inclusive. She set them at the front, along with the sign-up sheet, and waited patiently for any aspiring artistic types. Included, of course, was a big banner with the words 'Conglomerated Arts Club' on them.

Daria had no idea what she was doing here. She felt like she was in a daze as she set up her booth; as if she was wading through a dream. She had always enjoyed the Wild Patch of course, but leading a club? She barely spoke up at the best of times; she was the girl everyone overlooked, the girl with no friends, the girl no-one wanted. How was she supposed to lead now?! Who would want to listen to her? Would she even be able to get up the courage to speak?

But she was here at the fair as she had been told, and she had a booth to set up. It was easy to focus on the mechanics as long as she didn't think too much about why she was doing them; flower crown sat high on her head, garlands of blossoms all around her table, punnets of berries for other students to snack on, and signup sheets sat right in the middle of the table. For people to sign up. To the club she was running. Every time she looked down at the forms or around at the people beginning to fill the courtyard Daria's heart skipped a beat, so she stuck to adjusting the flowers hung around her table and quietly hoped nobody would approach her.

OOCOut of Character:
If you want to join the Wild Patch, please @ Daria Bright-Root! She won't cry! much

Sophie smiled and nodded happily as the older girl told her where to sign her name. The new Ravenclaw quickly signed her name up on the signup sheet. She said a quick thanks to the older girl, before heading away from the Hogwarts Monthly table and decided to head to the girls club. Sophie smiled and waved at the older girl. "Hi! What sort of things do you guys do in this club? It seems like fun?" Sophie asked curiously to the older girl.
