Y37 Hufflepuff Practice S2

Connor stayed close to Lucas's side, batting a stray bludger away from the younger seeker and keeping him safe.

Tilly wondered if she could ever be an upstanding citizen like Connor. At this point in her life, she just wanted to hit things. She knocked a bludger, which connected with no one.

Tilly whacked a bludger and hit nothing.

Elliot was glad the beaters and chasers were having a decent practice, trying not to let it get into his head that the snitch was still evading him.

Lucas was glad Connor was staying near him, the pain of the bludgers was still distracting him a lot.

Tilly's next bludger hit home- and home meaning another player. She winced as she got @Abian Hunter, again. She hoped for the same success during the game against Ravenclaw, just not against her teammates.

ouch a third hit

As Abian felt another bludger collide him, he knew it was one too many. With a quick signal to Elliot, he flew down to the ground so he could sit down on the bench to rest.

Elliot was trying to focus on the snitch when he saw Abian get hit a third time. He could immediately tell it was a hit too many, about to fly over to Abian when his co-captain held a hand to signal he was okay before moving to take a quick break. He nodded grimly, glad Abian was getting some time out to recover, before moving back into the game. "Good hitting, Tilly, but try not to maim any more of the team so badly if you can," He said sheepishly to the beater.

Tilly felt really, really bad when she realized Abian had taken too many hits. She blushed red with embarrassment when Elliot both complimented and admonished her. Nodding, she decided it was best to switch back to defense for a while.

Abian was fine, so Elliot tried not to let himself get too distracted again. He needed to focus and try and catch the snitch.

Tilly decided to tail the chasers for a while, knocking bludgers away from them when they sailed their way.

Refocusing on his search, Elliot flew in a slow grid, hoping to catch another glimpse of the snitch.

Tilly protected her teammates from incoming bludgers.

Playing defense was certainly not as exciting as offense for Tilly, but it least it kept her teammates on the pitch.

Elliot was trying not to get discouraged that he hadn't nabbed the snitch yet. The rest of the team was playing great, but he knew it would help his own confidence if he could at least make a catch.

The movement of the bludgers drew Elliot's attention, and while he was concerned for their younger players, Elliot was distracted by what he hoped was a sight of the snitch not far past the chasers.

Tilly hoped Lillith was ok. She went back on defense.

Moving towards where he'd seen the snitch, Elliot kept his eyes open for any more sign of it.==

TIlly wondered if some of her teammates had mastered taking naps in midair- they were kind of quiet.

Elliot glanced around where he had thought he'd spotted the snitch, but it was no where to be seen.

Tilly thought her arms were going to fall off. But she kept going

Lillith was probably being a bad chaser for not knowing where the quaffle went, but she had been hit by another one of Tilly's bludgers and this one had hurt more than the first. Still, she was able to be on the broom for longer and so she gave Tilly a thumbs up and continued on.

Tilly circled the pitch, keeping an eye on her teammates. She swatted away a bludger and carried on.

Elliot knew they'd have to call practice soon, the morning was dragging on and everyone would need to wind down and grab breakfast before morning classes started. He just hoped he could make at least one catch before then.
