Y37 Hufflepuff Practice S2

Tilly's teammates were spared... For now.

Hunter was ready to follow Lilith but got hit by another bludger making him stay back. This was his second bludger of the game, his body was starting to feel a little sore but he decided not to make a fuss about it. The young boy then located Lilith and flew towards her in case she wanted to pass.

Tilly was half-tempted to do a somersault on her broom, but she settled for a barrel roll instead. Doing that and holding on to her bat was not an easy feat. She should stick to bludgeoning things.

Still searching the pitch, Elliot caught sight of Tilly attempting a barrel roll. Once he was certain she wasn't about to fall off, he couldn't help the quiet huff of amusement before carrying on searching for the snitch.

While Tilly was determined to beat Ravenclaw during the next game, she hoped the team would break for some snacks soon.

Elliot's heart lept when he spotted the snitch again, taking off after it in a tight dive.

TIlly didn't usually aim for keepers. But her bludger decided to veer off towards the goalposts, slamming right into @Linden Cullen.

Elliot had to dodge past a passing bludger, sparing a quick glance at it as it shot off towards the goals as he continued to chase after the snitch.

Tilly aimed her next bludger at the milieu of chasers, but it ended up crashing into @Connor Holland instead. Oops.

Elliot could hear the rest of practice happening around him, and tried to keep an eye out for any bludgers, but his eyes were trained on the snitch as he tailed after it.

Hoping Linden and Connor would recover easily from their bludger hits, Tilly switched back to defense.

Having to duck around some of the chasers, Elliot briefly lost sight of the snitch before taking off after he spotted it further down the pitch.

Tilly hit nothing but air.

Though he was definitely better than he'd been at the start of practice, Elliot was still feeling sluggish after not practicing over the holidays and he felt like it showed as he still failed to catch up to the snitch.

Tilly's side was still hurting a bit after the bludger hit, and she was starting to feel a bit tired, so she descended to the ground for a quick stretch and water break.

Reaching out, Elliot could swear his fingertips brushed the snitch before it put on a burst of speed and shot out of reach.

Sticking close to Lucas's side, Connor had expected bludgers coming at the seeker. He hadn't expected one coming directly for him, and he didn't move quick enough to deflect Tilly's shot, crying out in pain as it struck him in the side. Connor quickly blinked away the tears in his eyes, giving Tilly a thumbs up to show he was okay. It wasn't the first time he had been hit, but Connor never enjoyed the reminder of how much bludgers hurt, only making him feel guiltier about his role in the team.

Feeling refreshed (although still quite sore) Tilly hopped back onto her broom to rejoin her teammates up in the skies.

Elliot sighed as the snitch dodged out of sight, taking a moment to regroup and check on the team before trying to find it again.

Tilly smashed another bludger towards the chasers, but none were hit.

Elliot did a few laps of the pitch, watching the rest of practice before committing to hunting down the snitch again. He hoped he could get back on form before their final game.

Tilly wondered when the snitch was going to be caught- she didn't think either of their seekers had snatched it yet.

Elliot could tell he wasn't on his game today. But in the past they'd had amazing practices and still lost the actual game, so he could only hope it still boded well for the team. Though a snitch catch soon would be nice for his ego and his confidence.

Tilly hummed to herself as she zipped around the pitch. Hufflepuff needed a good fight song- problem was, the house wasn't known for its fighters.
