Y37 Hufflepuff Practice S2

Tilly watched as the very same bludger she had smacked Elliot with crash into Hunter, courtesy of @Connor Holland. She gave Connor a thumbs up and flew after another bludger.

Elliot was so focused on the snitch he didn't notice the bludger until it was too late. He sucked in a breath, holding onto his broom as the force of the hit knocked him off course. He waved back at Tilly, rubbing at his aching arm as he tried to relocate the snitch.

As guilty as he felt about hitting his teammates, Connor pulled himself together and flew towards another bludger, bat in hand. He swung hard, aiming at Lucas again, and his eyes widened as he watched the ball fly past Lucas again and instead hit his co-beater. "SORRY!" Connor called out to Tilly, wondering what was wrong with his aim today. At least he was hitting someone...
@Tilly Drage

Tilly shouted involuntarily as the bludger crashed into her side. She puked up her oversized meal onto the pitch. It wasn't exactly the first time that had happened, but it couldn't be helped. She flew down to the ground for a glass of water. The beater needed to recalibrate and wash the acid out of her mouth before she could smash iron again.

Elliot sighed as he lost sight of the snitch, but it did mean he got an eye full of Tilly loosing her lunch after taking a blister hit again. Concerned when she flew downwards, Elliot hovered nervously until see was back in the air. He had to hope that wouldn’t happen in a game sometime.

Content that Tilly seemed okay and the rest of the team was still doing well, Elliot resigned himself to resuming his search for the snitch, having well and truly lost sight of it now.

After hydrating and recalibrating, Tilly hopped back onto her broom and flew back into the air.

Elliot had missed being in the air over the holidays. He'd been so busy trying to squeeze everything into the time he had he'd rather forgotten about quidditch. Hopefully, he could make up for the lack of practice quickly before their game.

Tilly puttered around and hit nothing.

Lillith caught the quaffle as it was thrown back into play. She winced as she watched two of her teammates get hit by bludgers. So the beginning of the bludgeoning had begun, she felt bad for them and noticed Tilly go back down to get water. She hoped she was okay and decided to check on her later. Lillith passed the quaffle to another chaser.

Tilly flew around with a healthier respect for bludgers than she usually had. She cracked one with her bat, but hit no one.

Turning his broom upwards, Elliot flew a bit higher, hoping to stay clear of the rest of the team for a bit as he searched.

The pain in Tilly's side was starting to dull. Still, whenever she swung her bat at a bludger, she winced a little.

Connor winced further when he saw Tilly's reaction to the bludger, looking away quickly before it made him sick himself. He felt horrible for hitting the girl, and it made it harder to do his job. He tried to stay focused though, flying towards another bludger and swinging his bat, relieved as he finally managed to hit the person he was aiming for. "Sorry!" He called out to Lucas, trying not to grin.
@Lucas Fletcher

Tilly winced in sympathy as Connor's bludger hit Lucas. But, it was another good shot.

Amy winced as a few players were hit by bludgers. Catching the Quaffle Lillith passed to her, she tried to score, but missed.

Tilly whacked a bludger and watched as it sailed straight into @Amy Jewel. She smiled at her apologetically and went after another bludger, switching to defense.

Connor was glad to have shaken off his bad luck from the last match, but he still didn't especially enjoy hitting his teammates. So he decided to fly over to Elliot's side and guard him for a bit, keeping an eye out for any bludgers coming near the seeker.

Still disappointed about her miss, Amy wasn't paying attention when she got hit by the bludger. Flying around, she took a second to get used to the pain before catching up to the other chasers.

Hunter took a bludger right on his arm, he tried to play it cool and gave a thumbs up to Connor to let the other boy know he was fine, it hurt like hell but he was gonna play tough. Hunter then grabbed the quaffle and passed to a free chaser nearby.

Tilly's next bludger made contact with @Lillith Montgomery. OK, so she hadn't lost all of her skills over the break. She grinned at her roommate and flew upward.

The beaters certainly weren't taking any prisoners again today, and as proud of them as Elliot was, he was still relieved when Connor moved to fly with him for a bit.

Tilly weaved in between her teammates, deflecting bludgers- for now.

It was always harder to focus on his search when one of the beaters was hovering near by, but at least Elliot felt less pressure to watch out for bludgers, especially as he caught sight of Tilly weaving around.
