If the Calendar is to be believed (and painstakingly, it is) - we're putting another year of HNZ goodness behind us in the next few days!
Here's a quick outline of what you should expect:
Graduation
The Graduation Ceremony is open for graduating seventh years, their guests, professors and prefects. If you haven't had a chance to post yet, you should be sure to do so imminently!
Group Promotions
Tomorrow, all student accounts will be promoted to the group for their next year level. Seventh years will be placed into a "graduates" group to allow you to wrap up ongoing school RPs before the next year begins or the new year starts. Graduates will automatically be moved into the magical group in a little over a week, but you can request to be moved to another group by submitting the appropriate application. As a reminder, most application types are closed during the winter break as we focus on sorting, but as soon as they reopen you're encouraged to apply for that Ministry of Magic position!
Holiday Forums
With the group promotions tomorrow, holiday forums will also open. Get ready to RP all around the wizarding world, visit your student's favourite sweets shop, or have them remember what living at home without friends and professors all around felt like.
End of Year Feast
Ravenclaw has won the house cup!
In addition to being honoured in our theme for a little while, Ravenclaw and each house's top points earner are being celebrated in the End of the Year Feast topic. Head on over to celebrate, or mourn, or give Y29 whatever send-off your character feels it deserves!
Loose Ends for Clubs
If you lead a student club for HNZ, we need you to respond to a PM!
Sorting
Sorting will open in a couple days - as always, sorting gets its own special announcement with all the details you need to know for getting your character ready to go for Y30 at HNZ!
That's all you need to know for the next couple days until the next big announcement comes. Get excited, Y30 is guaranteed to be at least 20% crazier than Y29 could have dreamt of!
