Open Summer Water Party!

“Gettin’ hit in the noggin, is quite refreshing!” Leda added, mimicking her best friend for a a moment. Any other time she would have disagreed about having her hair plastered to her face but given it was one of the hottest days of the year so far it was a nice change. “Okay okay,” Leda got back into position and her wand out as she spotted Alistair, “Well, we’ve got to make the most of spells, right?” She shrugged, before blasting the Gryffindor to his wet fate once more. “Want to try?” She offered the Slytherin, although she couldn’t imagine him wanting to get wet so much as do the wettening.

Even though it was a hot day, Wendall still wanted to study so that he didn’t fail any exams. Dressed in his Hufflepuff robes and with a bag of his books over his shoulder, he was fully engrossed in one of his textbooks as he wandered through the calm part of the lawn next to the lake. The first year was still recovering from his recent broken arm, and even though he no longer had a cast, his arm could still be a little sore.

Before the Layton had a chance to look up and realise he was walking across an especially squishy bit of grass, he felt the full impact of something or someone slam straight into his legs, toppling him instantly. Wendall yelped as limbs and books went flying, and in the midst of him trying to catch his breath to even see what was going on, he belly flopped into the freezing cold lake. A few seconds later he emerged, coughing and spluttering and wiping his face with his soaked robes as he blinked around and tried to register what the heck just happened.

Mervyn was half way down the hill, and still gaining speed, when out of nowhere a small Hufflepuff appeared in his path. "MAKE WAAAAY!" he bellowed, but he was too late - he smacked straight into the boy's legs, pushing him into the lake. Mervyn resurfaced immediately. "Merlin! I killed him! I killed a first year! Oh never mind there he is. HE'S OKAY!" he yelled up the hill. Then he grabbed the boy by the collar of his robes and hauled him out of the way before he could get hit by anybody else.

Wendall thought he’d died and gone to heaven, but then another boy said he was okay so he must have been fine. “Woah,” he almost slipped over again when the older boy pulled on his collar through the water. He was dragged out of the lake but Wendall was slapping at the boys grip with his one good arm by the time they reached the grass. “My stuffs out there! You’ve ruined it!” How was he ever going to get the money to replace his books that were currently swimming? He patted his soaked robes down, maybe he could accio his books and salvage them. All the blood drained from the first years face though, “My wand.. my wands in there!” He was frantically trying to walk deeper into the area of the lake he’d fallen, trying to blink back tears. He wasn’t about to lose his wand during his first semester as well.

Lysander didn't waste any time filling his arms with water balloons while the older boy demonstrated how there was room for multiple people to slide at once. He was looking forward to pelting him with the balloons on the way down, feeling fairly confident in his aim after all of his beater practice, but stopped just short of throwing the first one when he spotted another familiar face. "Watch out, Wendall!" Sander called, though it was far too late. He lost sight of his friend in an eruption of water and paper until seconds later he had resurfaced. That was a relief. "Okay, my turn. Make it a big one!" Lysander called over his shoulder to whoever was going to depulso him down the hill. Luckily for him, his cloak was already off, and his pants and sleeves were rolled up from his previous splashing about around the water's edge. The boy felt a weight across his back and was jettisoned across the mud, becoming briefly airborne after hitting a bump. "Woohoo!" He shouted, his legs flailing through the air until he hit the water with a loud splosh. All sight and sound were obscured by the rushing of water as he sank to the bottom, but his hands and feet didn't brush sand or pebbles when he got there. Instead, he felt a sharp point dig into his back, followed by a nasty shock and a flash of light that threw him upwards by a few feet. He broke the surface of the water with a surprised yelp, was airborne for a few moments more, and landed back into the lake, thankfully a few inches to the left of whatever it was he'd landed on. By the time he recovered his senses, Sander was on his feet and scrabbling through the water to locate the mystery object that had blown his sky-high. When his hands finally pulled it free, the boy found himself holding what was probably the longest wand he'd ever seen in his life. He held it up, for a moment believing it to be the excalibur of wands, but when he caught sight of Wendall trudging back through the lake, he put two and two together. "Wendall! Are you okay? Is this yours?" He asked, holding the handle out to his upset friend with a concerned frown.

Fleur settled down in the mud and grinned happily. She was ready to be launched into the lake. She whooped with joy as the force of the spell knocked her forward, and she landed into the water with a splash. Fleur resurfaced quickly with a laugh, shaking her head as she came out of the lake. By then she had noticed her youngest sister standing there with her friend, and she waved cheerfully at the two. She could see Iris was concerned as usual, so she hoped to ease her fears. "It's fun!" She called out to the Ravenclaw. Then she ran back up to where the balloons were to grab a few.

Iris wasn't surprised Fleur was getting involved in something like this, though it looked like trouble. Trouble was never something Fleur really avoided, often to Iris' dismay as Emma often copied their older sister. She was half expecting her twin to come rushing up to join too, and was glad she didn't see her anywhere. She smiled gratefully at Jenna. "Thank you... I'm sure she'll be fine." She said, mostly to reassure herself. "I knew Fleur liked dragons, she barely stops talking about them. I didn't know you met her!" She was pleased to her Jenna liked her older sister. Iris had always looked up to Fleur quite a bit. She watched as Fleur was hit by the spell and launched into the lake, relieved to see she was okay. But around the same time, the Gryffindor boy who also went knocked over Wendall, and the boy ended up in the water. Iris gasped and ran over to the edge of the lake to see if he was alright. She didn't know Wendall that well, but she knew him from classes. She was dismayed to hear he had lost his wand, and was just about to help him search for it when another boy said he had it. At least that was a relief, but she was still worried. "Are you okay, Wendall? That looked like it hurt..." She said softly.

Leda watched as Mervyn went flying down the hill, but it wasn't until another little kid came along and shouted out Wendall that she shielded her eyes from the sun to peer down the hill, just in time to witness her best friend take down her cousin. She gasped silently to herself as Mervyn was narrating how he'd killed him. He'd never even met Wendall and he'd managed to kill her cousin! She relaxed though by the time he shouted up that he was okay, and turned to see the younger student had taken a seat in Mervyn's place. "Okay, don't do what the last guy did." Leda warned, getting in position behind him, "Depulso," The sixth year watched as Lysander flew down the hill, and things were going successfully until the kid flew out the water a second time and she peered at the lake in confusion. "BLOCKAGE! TIME OUT!" she called, causing another stream of water to erupt from her wand as she did a little slide maintenance until the gang in the water cleared out the way.

Wendall was swiping the tears out of his eyes, as he tried to plunge himself into the water and find his wand. Another splash blinded him, and even more frustrated that someone would have dislodged his wand further, he was about to call out when the student was fired high into the air. Wendall stood shocked as he stared at a boy from his class, cupping his mouth with one hand as his friend experienced a secondary dunking. He watched in surprised as the Gryffindor emerged with something in his hand, and the Hufflepuff grinned when the boy produced his wand, "You found it!" He squealed happily, or at least, his body had. His wand was very demanding of respect, so perhaps it was that that had fired his friend into the air. "Thanks Lysander" he took back his wand, tears instantly drying up as he began to relax a bit. Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the books, that were floating around on the surface of the lake. His bag was still hanging over one shoulder but it was empty, and the first year was trying to scoop all the bits of parchments and textbooks as he could with his hands, dumping them in a squelchy mess in his bag and heaving himself back out onto grassy bank. He peered up at a girl when he heard his name, "Hi Iris," he smiled at his classmate, only now realising that his legs were aching too from when the older boy smacked into him. "Yeah, it hurt quite a lot actually. And now my stuff is ruined too," he sounded rejected and defeated with a glance over his shoulder at the one who'd gotten him caught up in the situation. What was even going on here this afternoon? He peered up at the top of the hill, or slide, or whatever this thing was, and squinted to see who was up there. "Leda?" he questioned allowed, curious to know how his cousin had got caught up in all this too. Knowing him though, her entry to this probably wasn't as painful as his.

Hi there, Lysander, enjoying your day? How’s your sword play?” He asked the younger boy, grinning. Zennon saw him around the castle quite often it seemed and clearly he was something of an explorer, which was good for the soul in his opinion. He turned back to the group and watched in apprehension “Oof,” Zennon said aloud as some kid got hit as Mervyn went down. That look like it hurt a lot. “CLEAR THE PATH!” Why some people couldn’t watch where they were going was beyond him honestly. “Leda, d’you know this one?” He asked, peering over the smallyfries person.

"Awright, keep your knickers on," Mervyn told the snivelling Hufflepuff, withdrawing his own wand. Before he could cast accio, however, another boy promptly exploded out of the lake. Mervyn toppled backwards, disappearing under the surface for a few seconds. When he reappeared, the Hufflepuff had already been reunited with his wand. Well, that was easy. He looked up the hill as Zennon started to shout, and then at the books floating about in the water. They were probably beyond salvaging, but he helped gather them up anyway, in case somebody knew a spell to dry them off. "RIGHT. YOU 'EARD. EVERYONE SHIFT IT! 'Ang about, little'n - 'ow do you know Leda?" he said, suddenly realising what the boy had said. Leda wouldn't consort with snivelly little first years, surely?

Wendall glared over his shoulder as not just one but two boys asked who he knew Leda. Who were these guys anyway? He turned to the one who'd crashed into him, limping a little for effect, just in case he'd forgotten that he'd actually hurt him. "My name, is Wendall Lay-ton." he stated specifically, angry but too nervous to actually make any sort of confrontation to the rude boy. He took another book out of the boys hand, and turned before he could protest, struggling up the hill as his robes clung to him in all the wrong places and he slipped in the grass, his arm aching when he landed on it.

Zennon frowned as the boy mentioned his name. “Hang on, Leds, you have a brother you didn’t mention, or what?” He asked, glancing around at the boy who seemed to still be rather upset. He could actually be injured, Zennon realises and quickly bounded over to him. “Hey, sorry, I actually help out in the hospital wing, I’m going to be a healer one day, do you want me to see if I can help?” He asked, noting that the boy had been limping. If he was hurt, Zennon would definitely take him to see Lucius, or one of the other nurses.

Leda watched as Wendall Mervyn and Zennon started to get involved in some kind of argument discussion thing, and she was just going to leave it until Zennon asked her if she had a brother. "Of course not." Did they really think if she had anyone else asides from Olive, she would have mentioned it by now. "He's like my sisters mom's sister's kid or something," she said, waving an arm in the air as though they were so distantly related it didn't even matter. Wendall looked to be struggling, and she felt a twine of guilt that she wasn't helping the first year out a bit more. Olive had told her to look out for him, but she had barely even spoken to the boy so what was the point! "Alright, anyone else for the slide?" she said, trying to ignore the fact she should probably be helping the little Hufflepuff out more.

Sapphire was on her way back from the quidditch pitch, broom over her shoulders when she heard some shouting. She turned and followed the noise, curious as to what was going on. She came upon the captain and a crowd of people, and what looked to be an epic mudslide. She popped her gum as she came up next to Leda. "Heya cap," She greeted, surveying the scene curiously. "What's all this?" She asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. It was at that moment that she heard an all too familiar voice calling her name. She sighed. "Hold that thought,"

She stepped to the side as her brother came barreling past where she'd been standing, surprise clear on his face. In one smooth motion, she removed the broom from her shoulders and in one fell swoop knocked Onyx's legs out from under him, sending him toppling face-first down the slide. She spun, placing the broom back on her shoulders, and slipping the wand from her hoodie. She murmured a spell and shot him faster, grinning and blowing another bubble in her gum as he caught a bit of air and vaulted into the lake. She shielded her eyes from the sun, popping her bubble and laughing. "Was this your work, cap? Bloody brilliant," She complimented, thoroughly enjoying herself.

Onyx had been looking for Sapphire all morning and to no avail. Where could she be? After searching the castle for the tenth time, it hit him like a slap to the face. Quidditch practice. With a grin, he ran from the castle. She had to be at the pitch! Of course! Why hadn't he thought of that before? His smile only widened as he spotted his sister sauntering towards a group of people. Without a second thought, he bolted for her, singsonging her name.

Only to have the world turn upside down. One moment, she was there, the next, he was flying face-first down a load of mud. He started laughing, shielding his face with his arms and shut his eyes tight, only opening them when he felt himself catch a bit of air. He let out a delighted yell as he saw the water and braced himself as he inevitably belly-flopped into the lake.

Oona was in the library when she looked out of the window and saw the gathering on the lawn. Someone had made a mudslide! Leaving her open book on the table, she sprang up and ran all the way down the stairs, through the entrance hall, and out of the front doors. In hindsight, she probably should have gone to her dormitory first and changed into her scruffy clothes, but it was too late for that now. She arrived at the lakefront and immediately filled her arms with as many water balloons as she could carry. "THIS IS WAR!" she announced, proceeding to launch a balloon at a Slytherin prefect.

Adelaide was looking for Wendall. She had the most juicy story to tell him about a fight that had broken out at the Gryffindor table earlier that morning, and it couldn't wait, or else she'd forget the best parts. When she finally spotted him, soaking wet and clutching his equally soggy books to his chest, she gasped. "Wendall! Oh my God, are you okay?" she said, almost elbowing the older Slytherin out of the way so that she could thump pat her friend down and make sure none of his bones were broken. If they weren't, there was a good chance they were now. "What happened? Did someone push you?"

Wendall glared at the older boy who said he worked in the hospital wing. "No, I'm fine," he huffed. He'd been in there much too much recently and even if he had hurt himself he would just rest and he would heal by himself. His leg and arm were aching but he limped away from the boy before he could force him back inside. He'd barely taken another step when Ade found him, and starting inspecting him roughly. "Get off me," he didn't mean to be angry, especially not to his friends, but he was in a foul mood and he tugged his robes and bags out the Gryffindors grip. It felt like he was getting punched, why couldn't she just asked like everybody else? "ADELAIDE! STOP!" he took a full step back, hugging his damp books to his chest before turning in the other direction and heading away from the swarm of whatever it was that was happening in the garden. He hadn't expected his cousin to help him either, but it would have been nice. Grumpy and in pain, the first year aimed to go wherever other people weren't right now.

Zennon shrugged, if the kid didn’t want help, he wasn’t going to sit there and coax him, he wasn’t the boys baby sitter. He looked over at Leda to let her know he tried before trotting back to her and waving at Onyx and Sapphire. “How good is it though?” He asked, itching to get back into the water. “I’m going to go again, can someone gimme another push?” He asked sitting down and keeping his hands tucked to his sides.

Sapphire snickered again, watching her brother when out of nowhere someone was yelling that it was war. She turned, surprised, and barely managed to lean out of the way of a water balloon that was aimed at her face. She grinned, shooting Zennon down the slide before hopping over to the nearest water balloon pile and loading her arms. She left her broom there and launched one at the girl and another at Leda. Sapphire didn't know how long she could stay dry, but she didn't care.

Onyx swam to the shore, pulling himself onto the grass. He was laughing so hard he could barely breathe. "I knew she would launch me into the lake one day," He managed breathlessly. He stood, shaking his hair like a dog. He watched as Zennon came shooting down the slide and laughed. He took a running start and jumped back into the water. Why not? He couldn't help but smile madly.

Zennon stick his head up out of the water, shaking his head wildly to clear his vision. He looked over to see Onyx take a running jump back into the water and laughed madly before slipping out of the water and trudging back up the hill, robes completely soaked through and bit soaked of grass and bark sticking to various sections. He noticed a couple of first years and waved to them. “Are you lot going in the lake or what?” He asked them, gesturing to the slide that was mostly mud now than water. “It’s good fun, promise!”

Fleur had pushed her wet hair out of her face and was laughing every time someone fell into the water. It was hilarious, though she did notice a few of the younger students were looking upset. It looked like it was solving itself, but Fleur kept an eye on them in case any of them started crying. She didn't think a prefect should ignore a crying first year, even if she was very distracted by all the fun. Fleur threw water balloons at everyone who was going down the slide, cheering every time she hit someone. Then she decided to go again. "Someone give me a push!" She called as she sat down in the mud, a grin on her face.

Today we had to show where the others were heading to the lake, but won't you see the dawn? In the hogwarts, aside from the basements, Jenna certainly pointed out other directions, but her brother would have been happy to see her sister get wet. No ability was received in the senior course offer, going on and frightening many. Non-existent monsters in the lake and his. Jenna was flown here with Fleur and Iris, and so a personal urban exploration will take place when she realizes that this and one of them won't work. Are girls now learning to use doubt? ''I'm not sure about this, but sure i can go with you!'' Jenna says to the stranger boy and now she wanted ask him what his name. ''What your name?'' Jenna asked with nervos smile.
