Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y38/S1

Mordred was not going to lie. He was getting tired, but Slytherin's reputation meant more. He watched after throwing the quaffle back out

Rye nodded at his new captain, the boy glanced towards the other beaters who, from his prospective, weren't all that great. They kept hitting the wrong target, while Rye hadn't had a chance to take aim at anyone. Rye went flying away looking for bludger to give this damn bat a go.

Lucie was not having much luck flying around the pitch. She saw a bludger out of the corner of her eye hurling towards her, but before she could even swing her bat back, it continued past her and the girl groaned.

Blake flew on, searching far below the level of the other players for any signs of the snitch, getting more and more frustrated with how long this was taking.

Indi followed Liusaidh closely after she caught the quaffle. She was feeling more confident now and did her best to keep up and look open.

As soon as Liusaidh was close enough she threw the ball and much to her joy she managed to score. She pointedly smiled somewhat falsely towards the younger chaser before reassuming position.

Daintree was doing his best to ignore the failure and was pretty pleased when he spotted another bludger and aimed it directly, once again for the seeker and pleased when it hit.
@Blake Irons

Jasper grabbed the quaffle as soon as it was tossed back into play, but he hadn't missed the look Liusaidh gave the new girl and pointedly passed the ball to the new girl instead.

@Indira Khatri

Rye had no luck finding a bludger. He stops to see another beater successfully hit the bludger towards their seeker. Rye needed to be on that level, ASAP.

Rule 2a

Liusaidh saw the look that Jasper gave her as he tossed to the newer chaser, and so pointedly the moment she could she swiped the ball from the girl and continued to the hoops.

Daintree was all too soon greeted with another bludger, it was racing towards him, so he reactively hit the bludger which flew and hit the chaser with the ball. He'd been unable to redirect it to hit Blake.
@Liusaidh Fergusson

Indi scowled. Liusaidh didn't seem to be thrilled that she was keeping up with more experience chasers but she felt a sense of pride as Jasper passed her the quaffle. "Hey!" she yelled as the other girl pushed her aside and stole the quaffle. She bit her tongue before she could complain anymore. This was a part of practice even though she KNEW it was personal. Indi picked up her speed and wasn't about to be left behind.

Liusaidh felt the bludger make impact, seemingly picking the same spot as the first one had hit her in the arm. She swore colorfully and the shot she made on goal, missed horribly as her arm groaned at the sudden movement. It wasn't a particularly good throw to miss with her having taken the ball, but she didn't care, if he was gonna play favourites, she'd continue to play selfishly.

Ruben kept searching for the snitch once again but he still hadn't had any luck.

Rye spotted a bludger, raising one arm he wield the bat and swung it as hard as he could. It went too far left, going nowhere near any of the seekers. Rye swerved around to look for a bludger to hit again.

Blake had just thought he spotted a glimmer of gold when he heard the whoosh of another approaching bludger much too late. He grunted in pain as the ball hit, blinking back tears as he reached for his whistle, giving a sharp blow. "Alright, everyone take five! Grab some water, then we'll be back in the air." He instructed, before flying towards the bench. He landed and grabbed some water, taking a moment to inspect and smear some salve on his aching bludger sores, offering some to the rest of the team as they rested. Once a few minutes had passed, Blake blew his whistle again, ushering the team back into the air to carry on practicing.

OOCOut of Character:
This absolutely isn't how real games work, but for the sake of getting a decent amount of practice in, all bludger counts are reset to 0, and the game continues!

Jasper was a bit frustrated when Liusaidh intercepted his pass, but it was fair and square. He shrugged at the younger girl, and was glad when they were told to take a break. He flew to the ground and had some water, feeling refreshed when he took to the air again. This time, he grabbed the quaffle and kept it for himself for now.

Liusaidh would never admit it but she was rather glad for the little break. She took the five minutes to apply some bruise paste and take a drink before they got back into the air. She nodded a little as the older chaser had the ball and just followed in behind him.

Daintree shrugged slightly as the captain made them stop. He flew to the ground and just waited around for the time. Not really needing to catch his breath or apply bruise paste to anything, he was mostly just eager when he could get back into the air and back to looking for bludgers.

Rye landed on the ground when they were given a break. He did a brief inspection of his gear, wiped his mouth with his sleeve. He returned to the skies again, no bludger in sight for him to hit. Rye went dashing around to find one.

Lucie watched as the game continued on, and soon enough the captain called them down to take a small break. The girl followed her team mates back onto the ground, took a sip of water, and headed straight back up into the skies, continuing her search for bludgers.

Daintree felt like he was back at square one with the bludgers, just missing horribly.

Indi was glad for the break as a chance to catch her breath. But kicked off quickly was over to follow Jasper.

Lucie was growing tired now and was starting to miss many of the bludgers that came her way. She wanted the practice to end soon, but also wanted to get better.

2a

Indi was growing impatient as she followed Jasper. She saw an opening and took it, stealing the quaffle away from him. She felt a bit bad for it since he had been nice to her but it only lasted a minute before she got caught up in her race to the hoops. @Jasper Night
