Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y38/S1

Lucie listened as the captain instructed them to stay away from the younger seeker now and just go for himself. The girl just shrugged at this, chuckling slightly as the captain was then immediately hit by a bludger. "Nice!" Lucie exclaimed, finding that very satisfying. She continued watching the game as she also looked for some bludgers to hit. But unfortunately she had no luck this time.

Blake flew on high over the other players, looking for any signs of the snitch.

Once again a flash of gold across the pitch caught Blake's eye, but by the time he had reached it the glimmer had gone.

Liusaidh swooped in and caught the ball after the other chaser dropped it and she continued to push towards the hoops.

Daintree could admit he was a little frustrated with Blake, he hadn't had much control over the last one, and really they should just be hitting people. So when another bludger flew in his direction he lined up the shot, and hit it hard, to his pleasure it raced across and smacked into Blake.
@Blake Irons

Eleanor hadn’t yet had her hands on the Quaffle during the game, but she was hoping to change that soon. She followed closely behind Liusaidh in case she needed to pass. Eleanor planned to be quicker this time to grab the quaffle after the other girl shot it.

As soon as Liusaidh was close enough she threw the ball but the keeper managed to catch it, she cursed colourfully before just getting into another position to try and get the ball again.

Jasper caught the ball after Liusaidh's attempt to score, tucking it under his arm and keeping it close as he flew off.

Indi followed the other chasers, ready to catch the ball if it was passed to her but she was content to hang back for a while since her arm still ached.

Blake was flying lower again to look for the snitch when he heard the whiz of a bludger too late, failing to dodge before it struck him in his other thigh. He grunted in pain but gave Daintree a thumbs up, quietly thinking to himself he'd need to take a break after the next one at this rate.

Ruben was a bit sore because of the bludgers hits but suddenly the snitch pssed right in from of him. This time he was not letting it get away, who knew he just needed to be hit by a few bludgers to find the snitch?
The boy followed the snitch closely until he could reach it with his arm, he wrapped the golden orb around his fingers and lift it in the air "Got it!" he said triumphantly before letting it go again.

Liusaidh followed behind the older chaser with the ball. Keen to just get another opportunity to score.

Daintree had wanted to keep his streak going but wasn't finding any, he decided to just focus on following the chasers a little to protect them from bludgers.

Having played for so long and not even come close to the snitch, Blake was starting to get frustrated. His frustration only grew when he realised too late that Ruben had spotted it, and the younger boy had already made a catch. "Good job!" He called out, trying not to let his frustration show as he gave Ruben a thumbs up before returning to the search, more determined than ever.

Ruben couldn't help but wonder if Blake actually meant that or if he was slightly frustrated and hurt but anyway he decided to be proud about catching the snitch. Now it was time to focus back on the game and keep searching.

Blake continued to fly lower, weaving around the Chasers and wondering if the snitch had escaped into their midst.

Daintree continued to ensure that the chasers weren't hit with any bludger - it helped that he couldn't spot any.

Jasper flew up to the hoops and threw the quaffle, grinning in triumph as it sailed through.

After Jasper made his goal, she saw her chance to grab the quaffle again. She snatched it as it was tossed back into the game and kept it close as she made her lap around the pitch.

Liusaidh was a little disappointed as she wasn't able to get the ball first but followed the younger chaser who did have the ball.

Daintree pulled away from the chasers as one of them score. He focused on trying to hit one of the bludgers but missed pretty miserably.

Indi wasn't feeling as in control as she did last time she tried to score but she was pleasantly surprised when the quaffle sailed through the inner hope. She let out a yelp of surprise and delight, and raised her arms over her head, only to wince when the sore spot on her arm strained.

Blake wove carefully through the chasers, not spotting any sign of the snitch, but he was plenty close enough to see their newest chaser score yet again. "Good work!" He said, giving Indira a thumbs up.

Liusaidh wasn't a huge fan of the younger chaser scoring so she rushed forward and grabbed the ball as it was thrown back out.

The team seemed to be doing well, and the captain was even hit by a bludger again which meant he may need a break soon. The girl just continued in her search for bludgers, not finding any luck as she tried.
