Slytherin Quidditch Practice Y38/S1

Daintree finally managed to hit a bludger and then hit it towards Blake Irons but it went a little wider than he'd thought and it hit Ruben Right, the other seeker.

Liusaidh groaned as the new chaser grabbed the ball, but she followed in behind hoping she might take it from her.
 
Ruben was focused on searching the snitch, so focused that he didn't even saw the bludger coming right at him. He could swear those things got a lot more painful since last year.
 
The sound of a bludger caught Blake's ear and he swerved out of the way quickly, wincing as Ruben was hit. "You alright?" He called out to the younger seeker, giving Daintree a surreptitious thumbs up for a shot well made.
 
Indi was relived she hadn't been hit with a bludger yet. It looked like it hurt. But she couldn't get distracted now and focused on getting to the hoops. She looked around for any other chasers but none seemed to be in a good spot to pass to. So she decided to try her luck at the goals again, and she scowled when her shot was blocked.
 
Blake flew on, a glint of gold catching his eye for a moment. He pressed closer to his broom and shot towards it, but by the time he reached the spot, it had vanished.
 
As Lucie kept her eye out for more bludgers, she also kept an eye on the game. Her classmate managed to score, followed by another shot from another chaser, and that gave Lucie a lot of confidence for the team. She flinched a little as one of the seekers were hit by a bludger from the other beater, and when Lucie saw a bludger hurling towards her, she quickly made contact with it with her bat, attempting to aim for one of the chasers. Instead, the bludger went off course and hit the younger seeker again. "Oops." Lucie said as it collided with him.

Indi followed the other chasers and tried to keep up. She was starting to get a little tired but she couldn't slow down yet.
 
At the sound of a Bludger Blake looked over just in time to see Ruben getting hit yet again. He glanced at the younger boy quickly to assess his condition, calling out to the Beaters as he did so. "Good shot Lucie, but all you three lay off Ruben for now, we don't wanna take him out of practice! Remember, the only players you should be targeting are the Seekers, so you should all be aiming for me every time! Don't bother with the Chasers or Keeper, the Seeker's the one you've gotta take out." He instructed, giving them each a serious look before returning to his search for the snitch.

Daintree briefly was listening to the captain speak, but it just ended up as he finished, Daintree smacked a bludger and it hit right into Blake. He gave a little apology shrug but didn't do anything else.

Liusaidh grabbed the ball as it was thrown back out and immediately began flying towards the hoops again.
 
Blake had barely finished delivering instructions to the beaters when he heard a bludger coming, swerving much too late as the ball hit the meat of his thigh. He cried out in pain, blinking back involuntary tears as he turned back to the Beaters to see who had made the shot. "That's what I'm talking about!" He called out, giving Daintree a nod and glancing to the others to make sure they had taken in his instructions.
 
Jasper stayed close to Liusaidh and kept an eye on the quaffle, wondering if she was going to pass, but somehow doubting it.
 
"Yeah I'm fine" he told Blake, it was a big deal anyway, but right when he was recovering from the first hit a second bludger hit him not giving him time to focus on the snitch between hits.
 
Indi sighed as Liusaidh caught the quaffle again but she followed closely behind and tried to look open.
 
As soon as Liusaidh was again close enough to the hoops she threw the ball and cheered for herself as it sailed in.
 
Blake pulled away from where he had been and continued searching for the snitch, though he caught a glimpse of Liusaidh scoring out of the corner of his eye. "Good shot!" He called out, giving her a nod.
 
Indi took her hands off her broom for a moment to clap for Liusaidh before wobbling slightly. She gripped the handle tight and took a deep breath as her heart raced. Despite being a bit shaken she caught the quaffle as it was tossed back and started to make her lap around the pitch before heading to the goals again.
 
Blake flew on, circling high above the other players and looking around for any sign of the snitch. He should have caught it by now, and this was starting to get frustrating.
 
Daintree almost flew into a bludger and at the last second was able to hit it. It went racing towards and hit the current chaser with the ball.

Liusaidh followed the girl with the ball, she wouldn't like take it...but she'd be there close by just in case the girl dropped it or threw it. She was glad she hadn't been right next to her as she watched the bludger hit the chaser.
 
Blake was flying just overhead when he saw Daintree hit Indira, making a small noise of frustration. "Target me!" He reminded the Beater loudly. "Focus all shots on the Seeker!"
 
Indi was coming up to the hoops quickly and was completely blind sided as a bludger hit her in the shoulder. She shouted in pain and lost her grip on the quaffle. She swore as it fell but was too busy holding her arm to dive for it. "Someone catch that!" she yelled before turning to glare at the beater who hit her.
 
After giving Indira a glance to make sure the girl wasn't too badly injured, Blake flew back into the search, hoping he could hurry up and catch the snitch.
 
Indi moved her arm tentatively and thankfully the pain wasn't too bad. This just confirmed how much bludgers sucked and she would have to try harder to avoid them. She had lost track of the other chasers temporarily and hoped they were on their way to score again.
