Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y41/S1

Jordie flew back towards the hoops, pleased when he managed another goal. He smirked and stuck his tongue out at Linden playfully, moving over to give someone else room to catch the quaffle as it came back into play.
 
Zagreus sat back on his broom, still feeling quite nervous about this whole thing. He hoped he was doing well.
 
Tilly watched as Jordie made a goal. The chasers seemed to be doing all right, aside from the bludger hits.
 
Leonardo grabbed the quaffle after Jordie didn't manage to score.
 
Lucas winced when he saw Linden take the bludger. He debated on what to do. As captain, he should check on him. But would it be weird? Or would it give Linden the wrong idea? He hadn't forgotten the speech the boy had given at tryouts. He hesitated before flying over. "Your wrist okay?" He asked without quite looking at him.

Tilly captained.
 
As soon as he got close he tried to score, but missed pretty badly. He was certainly better than that.
 
Lucas kept an eye out for the snitch while he waited for Linden's response.
 
René was still feeling pretty good after managing to hit Tilly, taking a lap to get a read on where the bludgers were and to give himself some time to feel smug.
 
Linden watched as Leo was hit and was impressed that he still managed to keep hold of the quaffle to attempt to score. great effort Leo. Are you okay? he called. Though he didn’t think he would be heard well from the other side of the pitch. goid save zagger he called though again unsure if he would be heard.
mall too soon the quaffle was back in play and Jordie was again coming towards him. He kept watch sure to be able to save it this time. But unfortunately the boy still managed to get it past him I can see you’ve been practicing well done he said though he was getting annoyed at himself he was one of the most experienced keepers on the school. Why was he not able to save anything. He threw the ball back and watched as Leo took back to jagger. But was distracted by a voice of the person he had made sure not to watch all practice. He looked at Lucas who was even now avoiding his gaze. It’ll be alright. It’s easing off already. no long term harm done. Are you okay? he asked. Lucas had after all taken a hit earlier too.
 
Tilly hit nothing.
 
Victory lap over, René figured he should probably keep trying to play, readying his bat as he took off after another bludger.
 
Tilly had tried to hit one of the chasers again. Instead, her bludger crashed straight into @Renata Stepanova. She felt a little guilty for hitting a new recruit, but even beaters had to learn how to take a bludger.

Felix kept looking for the snitch.
 
Jordie caught the quaffle and headed back towards Linden, flying a little slower than really necessary to give Linden and Lucas a chance to talk.
 
Felix still continued to look.
 
René winced when Tilly managed to hit Renata, he knew from very recent experience that had to hurt. He was still too focused on what the other two beaters were doing when he managed to hit his own bludger, grimacing again as he accidentally sent the bludger right into their new alt. keeper @Zagreus Kohler

Renata saw the bludger coming too late. She moved to deflect it, but couldn't, as it rammed in to her side, knocking the wind out of her. "Ooof," she groaned, wobbling a little, before looking around and giving a thumbs up to the co-captain. "Good hit!"
 
Jordie made his way back around, managing to score while Linden was distracted. Now, if he really wanted to, Jordie could have easily tossed back Lucas' earlier comment about focusing on the game. But he wasn't petty. He did smile at the both of them though before flying off again.
 
Lucas quickly assured Linden he was fine and flew off in search of the snitch again. He felt a bit bad about not catching it yet.
 
René felt kinda bad about hitting Zagreus, it wasn't as fun hitting a stationary target. Still, at least he'd landed a hit, he reminded himself, adjusting his bat as he continued flying.
 
Tilly had aimed her next bludger at Blair, but it walloped @Jordan Harris instead. Thanks to the beaters, the team was starting to look dinged up.

Linden had not thought that he would be distracted by Lucas fletcher during quidditch again. But as Lucas was asking him about his wrist Jordie managed to slip a goal in. He tried to think is something witty to say to him as he threw the ball back into play but nothing came to mind and the sound of two thunks signaled the two newest members getting hit renata, zagger, are you okay? he called befor another thunk indicated Jordie had taken a hit. are you okay Jordie? Maybe now I’ll have a chance he teased though he was proud of how far the boy had come he was feeling like he had lost his touch.
 
Leonardo grabbed the ball as it was thrown back out.
 
Making sure that her teammates were OK, Tilly moved on.
