Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice Y41/S1

René was grateful when Tilly called for a break, touching down to stretch out his cramped legs and get some water before shooting back into the air. Re-energized, he took a hard swing at the first bludger he saw. He hadn't been aiming so it was a surprise to see it hit @Blair Bianchi.

Still feeling fresh after their break, René didn't waste time lining up another shot, sending the next one easily into @Lucas Fletcher

Renata was glad for a break, but it didn't help her aim, swinging and missing the next bludger she attempted to hit.
 
Tilly gave a thumbs up to Rene. He was going to push their team back to another break soon. She circled the pitch, making sure the other players were getting back into position.
 
It did feel a little weird hitting Lucas when he was officially the head boy now but René was reassured when Tilly gave him a passing thumbs up, grinning back at her as he continued flying.
 
Felix kept looking for the snitch, sadly.
 
Lucas grunted as the bludger hit him, but he was glad the beaters were doing better than the seekers at least
 
Felix felt a bit hopeless as he continued to fly around.
 
René had to duck as he underestimated how fast a bludger was moving, circling back to give chase.
 
Felix's search continued.
 
René had nearly caught up with the bludger he'd been chasing when it suddenly changed course, zipping out of his reach and causing him to come to an abrupt halt. Now he knew how the seekers must feel.
 
TIlly could sense the practice was starting to wind down. She protected her teammates for now.
 
René saw Tilly switch to the defensive and decided to get another hit in before they called practice, winging a bludger in her direction. @Tilly Drage

When Rene's bludger connected with her upper arm, Tilly gritted her teeth. Still, she carried on.
 
René was definitely on a roll. Feeling amped up after the break and his previous success, he hit the other bludger hard, watching as it spiraled perfectly into their new beater @Renata Stepanova

Still, there was no snitch for him.
 
Renata was feeling pretty bad for the seekers, as they weren't having a lot of luck. Then she got hit with a bludger, and winced, almost tipping over. Her sides were going to be bruised. She went to hit one back but completely missed, giving a shrug as she did.
 
Zagreus was thankful for a quick break but was quick to settle in front of the hoops again. Though he did feel bad for the seekers. They were not having much luck right then.
 
Felix was starting to doubt everything as he continued his search. It had been nearly the entire practice without a single sighting of the snitch. He was feeling pretty awful as he fly, his stomach in knots, when he notice something gold hovering near the ground. immediately he dove for it and moments later he held the snitch triumphantly in the air.
 
René slowed when he saw Felix on the move, grinning when Felix managed to scoop up the snitch.
 
Lucas sighed when Felix managed to catch the snitch. When the boy let it go, Lucas flew around a bit more before he spotted it again. He grabbed it and held it up, but it felt less like a victory right after someone else caught it.

Seeing as Felix had just let go of the snitch and it seemed Lucas was after it himself now, René tried to play a little interferance, sending a bludger towards @Felix Carnahan, though he doubted Lucas needed the help as he quickly scooped up the snitch himself.

Lucas let go of the snitch again and flew off, looking around.
 
(Whoops forgot about this)

linden let out a huff of air as the bludger hit him again. Served him right for not watching what was going on beyond the quaffle.
he let out a hiss of air before watching Leo score.
he was glad when time out came and he got to touch down and examine his wrist and ribs. He went over to the other keeper you are doing really well zagger. he said. Before it was time to take to the air again.
he watched the game resume the beaters seeming to have the most luck out of all of them. That was until wahoo. Go Felix.” he called as the seeker finally managed to catch the snitch. It seemed like he had caught onto a lucky string as not even two minutes later oh yeahhhh go Luc he called too caught up in the play to remember that he was in fact trying to not watch Lucas.
 
The seekers were finally having some luck! Renata cheered, swinging wildly and completely missing a bludger that came very close to smacking her wrist. She spun around on the spot, laughing breathlessly as she did.
