Hufflepuff Practice Y39/S2

Connor was keeping an eye on the other players again when he heard a familiar rush of air coming his way. He tried to swing at the incoming bludger, but again his shot didn't connect, and the ball struck him hard. Blinking away tears, Connor gave Rene a thumbs up and flew on, keeping his eyes on the rest of the team for a while. When he saw an opportunity present itself he flew for one of the bludgers and swung, relieved when he finally managed to hit one of his teammates. Though he couldn't bring himself to feel good, calling out to the younger boy in response. "SORRY!"

René only just managed to raise his bat in time when Connor sent a bludger back his way. The impact hurt and René felt it reverberate all the way up his arm, but he managed to send the bludger along at least, watching it shoot off towards @Tilly Drage next.

Not seeing either of the others, Jordie tried again, groaning as Linden caught it.

Linden saw Jordie flying towards him. This time he managed to make the save. He caught the ball and threw it out back into the game.

Connor was glad to have finally gotten a hit in, but it was nothing compared to the roll Rene was on. A small, self-loathing part of him wondered whether he should sit the next match out entirely, let the younger Beater take his spot. He was certainly doing more to earn it right now.

René's arm still ached from the bludger earlier and he let him self have a reprieve, circling the pitch slowly for a moment while he tried to shake it off.

"Good shot, Jordie!" Amy called out as the quaffle went through the hoop. She hung back for a bit, until the quaffle was thrown in again after Jordie's next try. She kept an eye out for the other chasers while she flew on.

Eye on the bludger that had hit Tilly, Connor shot after it and swung quickly, satisfied as his shot connected with his co-captain. Though he was glad to have made the shot, Connor felt guilty as ever, calling out to Amy quickly; "Sorry!"

René rolled his shoulder, deciding to take off after the second bludger as Connor hit the other one towards the chasers.

Amy barely kept a hold on the quaffle when Connor's bludger hit her. She gave him a thumbs up, and tried to make herself feel better by scoring. The successful shot helped a little, but her arm was pretty sore.

Linden watched the game process and coon Amy was coming towards him quaffle in her hands. He dove to try and catch is as it sailed through the air towards the goal opposite him but he was too slow. It didn’t even brush the tips of his fingers as it went through the hoop. nice work amy he called after he had retrieved the ball before he threw it back into play.

René just managed to catch up the bludger, skimming it with his bat and sending it stuttering away from him towards no one in particular.

Bludgers were flying around and hitting people left and right, Lucas tried to stay away from the beaters, looking for the snitch.

Today Hunter wasn't feeling so well, his stomach was tied in a knot for some reason so he was mostly letting everyone else score and playing more of a supportive role. The other chasers were actually doing an amazing job, Hunter was quite confident about the upcoming game.

René tried not to let himself overthink his swings too much, losing the chase on another bludger and sighing. He pulled back, trying to subtly watch what Tilly and Connor were doing as he continued flying.

Tilly might as well have been sleeping when Rene's bludger slammed into her. Simultaneously biting back a yawn and wincing through the pain, she gave Rene a thumbs up.

René couldn't help but feel pleased whenever Tilly or Connor praised him for a good hit. Giving Tilly a nod, he glanced around, bat ready as he tried to catch another bludger.

Shaking her head, it took Tilly all but slapping herself in the face to stay upright on her broom, let alone hit bludgers. Perhaps she needed to swing by the Hospital Wing after practice and chat with the nurse.

René could feel his arms getting tired and he wondered as he struggled to catch up to one of the bludgers if brooms could also get tired.

René pulled up short as the bludger he was chasing nearly had him colliding with another player, giving them an apologetic nod as he came to an abrupt stop.

Lucas kept looking around for the snitch, hoping for a glimpse of it soon.

René resettled on his broom, taking after another bludger as he spotted it nearby.

Lucas flew close to the ground, looking around carefully.

Keeping his eyes on the rest of the team, Connor circled the pitch slowly, watching the game unfold.

linden continued to fly watching the game unfold one eye on the quaffle and the other on the other players figuratively speaking of course. there seemed to be a lot of bludgers flying bu thankfully not too many hitting his teammates and Lucas was circling above. he realised one of the other chasers was hanging back a little "come on hunter. give it a shot" he called hoping that he would at least have a shot with the quaffle
