Personal
Personality: Harley is at her core a mistrustful person, always expecting the worst of everyone else. She particularly finds it hard to trust adults, and tends to lash out at them preemptively, always assuming they're planning against her and trying to get the first swipe in. She delights in resisting or subverting instructions, and doing what she can to disrupt the standard order of things. Harley is loudest with an audience though, and when she's by herself or only with a couple of people she's much quieter, revealing a philosophical side and a creative spark she usually channels into guitar, or acts of... public art.
Strengths:
-Harley is very true to her convictions, and once she's sure of what she believes in she rarely wavers, making her a loyal friend, who once someone earns her trust will go to any lengths to stand by them.
-Harley isn't afraid to stand up for herself and what she believes in, and won't back down from something she truly thinks is important, no matter who disagrees with her.
-Harley doesn't scare easily, and will take on tasks others were too scared to with great gusto.
Weaknesses:
-Harley can be reckless, and doesn't really care about the consequences of her actions a lot of the time. She avoids getting caught whenever possible, but she doesn't stop to think about WHY the things she's not supposed to do are against the rules.
-Harley's difficulty trusting people her own age and inability to trust anyone older are extremely isolating, putting her at odds with most of the rest of the world, and cutting her off from anyone who could help or guide her.
Hobbies:
Graffiti - From idle scribbles to large paintings, Harley's biggest outlet is writing on any surface she can find.
Painting - When she's not painting on walls, Harley does like to paint on actual canvas, and she's always had quite a knack for it.
Guitar - She doesn't play very well, but Harley at least tries to play the guitar pretty often. It makes her look punk and cool.
Personality Type: ENTP (The Debater)
The Debater personality type is the ultimate devil's advocate, thriving on the process of shredding arguments and beliefs and letting the ribbons drift in the wind for all to see. Debaters don't do this because they are trying to achieve some deeper purpose or strategic goal, but for the simple reason that its fun. No one loves the process of mental sparring more than Debaters, as it gives them a chance to exercise their effortlessly quick wit, broad accumulated knowledge base, and capacity for connecting disparate ideas to prove their points.

Strengths: Knowledgeable, Quick Thinkers, Original, Excellent Brainstormers, Charismatic, Energetic
Weaknesses: Very Argumentative, Insensitive, Intolerant, Can Find It Difficult to Focus, Dislike Practical Matters
History: Harley's parents met through their work, and married in their late twenties. They both wanted children badly, and Jason was born shortly after they got married. They devoted all their love and attention to him, until Harley was born four years later. When she was very young Harley was always very attached to her parents and older brother, but she became aware very early that he was always the favourite, and there wasn't enough attention for her, a sentiment that was only confirmed when her sister Zoe was born two years later. Harley struggled for her parents attention, until the fateful day when Jason's 11th birthday came and went.. and there was no sign of a Hogwarts letter. Her parents kept waiting and waiting, hoping, but finally after some tests it was confirmed that Jason was a squib. Harley felt for him, but was horrified to discover her parents attitudes changing overnight, shifting their attention and love onto Harley and away from her brother. Out of disgust for their fickleness, and loyalty to their brother, Harley rejected the attention, and began getting in trouble on purpose, so they couldn't pretend she was the perfect, flawless child they had wanted Jason to be. She began doing badly in school and getting in trouble for graffiti and fighting, determined not to fit the mould they wanted. Coming to Hogwarts was a relief, and a chance to branch out and be her own self, without being guided by their expectations.
Health: Harley has always been in excellent health.

Secrets: Although she presents a tough exterior, Harley has quite a strong soft side, and sometimes just wants to be taken care of.
Regrets: Harley wishes she had done more to stop her parents ostracising her brother.

First Year
dR6bKtf.png

Harley's first year was rowdy and reckless from the get-go. After meeting her roommates in Gryffindor and hitting it off with most of them, within her first week Harley was already in trouble. One of her old schoolmates from her muggle school was also attending Hogwarts, Odette Harper, a girl Harley knew well as a manipulative bully willing to hurt others to get her own way. Harley was caught by Odette writing a warning on the girls bathroom wall about the dangers of being around her, and their fight was broken up by a teacher. Eager to get away from the teachers and rules, and spend more time with a new friend, Harley took to the forbidden forest with Rory Night, but once again wound up in deep trouble. Not keen to spend her whole first year in detention, Harley tried to genuinely unwind, and wound up making friends with a Slytherin, Hayley Elridge, one of Odette's roommates who hated her just as much as Harley. Harley's attempt to stay low key ended abruptly, as she found Odette and her henchmen posting fliers on the walls all over the school, claiming that Harley was a dangerous criminal and thief, trying to completely ruin her reputation. Odette was caught by both Harley and a teacher, and the record was set straight publicly, but Harley still feared repercussions from those who believed she was a thief and spent the rest of the year keeping things quiet with her friends, and plotting their revenge. It was towarts the end of the year that she finally discovered that Rory and Hayley, her two closest friends, had met independent of her and wound up hating each other, Rory convinced that Hayley was undercover for Odette.

Harley had spent the whole train ride over trying to figure out if she resented being here or was relieved by it. As much as it meant giving in to at least some of what her parents expected from her, they couldn't get to her here, to praise her, or tell her off, or anything in between. Standing together clustered with her future classmates, Harley folded her arms and scowled, hoping nobody directed any nervous chatter at her. As much as she wanted to find a posse once she was settled into her dorm, with sorting still hanging over all their heads, Harley didn't want to make any first impressions with the tangle of nerves in her stomach.

Still trying to look tough and unapproachable Harley swaggered into the Great Hall, but her swagger fell apart as she laid eyes on the hall for the first time, taking in the ceiling, the candles, the volume of people, everything. For the first time, Harley felt as excited as her parents had expected her to be about going to school here. Just the thought of eating under that ceiling every morning was enough to make her heart race. Harley was captivated, staring all around the hall, mouth still hanging slightly open when her name was called.

"Tsuji, Harley!"

Snapping her jaw closed with a click, Harley quickly hunched her shoulders again and slouched up to the stool, taking one last glance around as she sat down. She felt very small in front of so many people, with such an enormous hat about to go on her head, and her attitude wavered a little, gripping her robes tight to ease her nerves as she waited to be sorted.

Second Year
DDoHrXF.png

Second year, Harley wanted to lay low... for the most part. An early expedition out into the school at night got her in trouble, but also got her a new friend, in Rose Holland, a roommate she had only spoken to a handful of times. After helping Rory and Hayley to work out their differences, a slumber party over the holidays turned out to be the birth of a squad. Contented for once to spend the rest of the year not getting in much trouble, preferring to hang out with her friends, Harley was blindsided by a letter revealing bizarre truths about her worst enemy's family. While at first Harley tried to be respectful, Odette's attacks on Harley's most vulnerable family member led to Harley lashing out and spilling Odette's family secret in the middle of the Great Hall, as well as planting a few fists in Odette's face. A sour ending to an otherwise sweet year, Harley was determined to relax a little, and get up to some good old fashioned graffiti with Hayley, her artsiest buddy.

Third Year
3LBjqDm.png

In third year, Harley finally accomplished her goal of laying low. To her surprise, the year started off with an actual apology from Odette for their confrontation at the end of the previous year, and Harley took it as a sign to cease fire between their warring groups... as long as she remained unprovoked. The girl had plenty of distractions for the year anyway, in the form of adventures with her friends, and looking out for her little sister Zoe, who had arrived at Hogwarts for the first time.

Fourth Year
2H6buGS.png

If Harley's third year was spent laying low, her fourth year was the polar opposite. It started off calmly enough, with Hayley visiting her for a while in the holidays. Shortly after returning to school Harley struck up an unexpected friendship with her once rival Odette, the two finding common ground and enjoying secret meetings to talk and paint. Harley also got a job at the beginning of the year, working at a prank shop with Rory. The relatively lighthearted beginning of her year was quickly cut by seriousness, when Hayley's revolution got off to an ugly start, and things got wildly out of control. Harley did her best to help control the difficult situation, but she could only do so much, and she failed to protect an older student when there was violence at the meeting. Each carrying their own stressses, Harley and Odette found an unexpected outlet for their frustration. What started as an accidental angry kiss developed into more, neither girl quite able to admit how strong their feelings were for each other after years of tension. Feeling unsettled by the new relationship, Harley told Hayley, thinking she could trust her best friend, but Hayley reacted badly, and it drove a wedge between the pair. Harley grew distant from all of her friends for most of the rest of the year, spending most of her free time with Odette. They only began to reunite in the aftermath of a horrible experience Rory underwent.

Fifth Year
iag2zEl.png

For the first time in her school career, Harley had a really good winter break. After attending a party with all her friends, Harley was free to spend most of her time with Odette, hiding from her family and having adventures with her girlfriend. Upon returning to school, Harley found it much more difficult to keep their relationship hidden, wanting to revel in the same kind of fun they had had over the holidays. Though things were good for a while, the Yule Ball was a catalyst for change in things between Harley and Odette. After Odette refused her invitation to go to the ball together Harley was miserable, and the holiday that followed stood in start contrast to the previous, with no contact at all between the two. The relationship imploded spectacularly shortly after returning to Hogwarts and Harley snapped, finally revealing all to her friends and reconnecting with people she had become distant to in order to keep her secret. Though she hurt immensely and both missed and resented Odette, Harley slowly began to get back to normal, grateful for her friends support.

Sixth Year

Returning to Hogwarts, Harley finally truly reconnected with Hayley after their disagreements over Odette. Though they had been reconciled for some time, things were at last back to normal. She turned seventeen shortly after school began, celebrated with an ill-advised party in Brightstone. Harley had a quiet year, keeping close to her friends, Hayley in particular, as Harley had begun to notice her friend in a new light. Towards the end of the year, Hayley confessed her long-lasting feelings for Harley, feelings Harley quickly realised she returned. Though the pair had expected their new relationship to be met with some apprehension, they weren't prepared for how upset Rose was at the news, and the usually close friends had an intense fight, ending the year on a sour note.

Seventh Year
4HDrqKD.png

After a tumultuous few years, Harley returned to Hogwarts eager to live a drama free life in her final year of school. She and Hayley hatched a plan for the Girl Gang to go out with a bang, and a few apologies and the promise of mischief to come were enough to reunite them with Rose. The rest of Harley's seventh year at Hogwarts revolved around "Operation Spawnstorm" as they called it, planning the perfect prank to round out their days at school. After a year with only one goal in mind, Harley was delighted when their plan went off without a hitch, and the Girl Gang finished out their days at Hogwarts raining frogs on their classmates.

Graduation had felt a world away to Harley for so long, but finally it was here. The Girl Gang had had their last hurrah, and now they were off to start their lives as adults, at last. Harley didn't know what she was going to do with a diploma filled with grades as abysmal as hers yet, but that was something to figure out later on. A rebellious part of Harley wanted it to go the way of the pile of letters she had thrown out this morning, but she figured it would be good to hold on to for nostalgia if nothing else. Harley's parents had made it known how disappointed they were that she hadn't even bothered to invite them to her graduation, and there was a small sense of satisfaction in that. Finally, she had managed to disappoint them. Years of breaking every rule and never studying hadn't dethroned her from the pedestal they had put her on after learning Jason was a squib, but if being mildly rude was enough to finally do the trick, Harley would claim that. She was much happier with both of her siblings supporting her anyway, and the less her friends had to know about her nightmarish parents, the better.

Harley had never been to graduation before, but both of her best friends being prefects somehow, she was pretty sure she knew the drill. Long boring speeches, grabbing a piece of paper, everyone cries, blah blah blah. She sat back in her seat, planning to mostly zone out during the speeches, but something about October's caught her ear, and Harley was embarrassed to find herself actually a bit choked up. She hated studying and rules, sure, but October had a point. Hogwarts was the first place Harley had ever felt at home, and the place she had met the most important people in her life, and now everyone was going their separate ways. It was... a lot to be saying goodbye to, and Harley found herself actually feeling sentimental, something she hadn't expected. Today was supposed to be a victory lap, having beaten school, and Harley didn't think she was the kind of person to cry at graduation. Luckily for her, any feelings of nostalgia brewing inside her were suppressed as Jerara spoke, and Harley found herself filled with a sense of glee. Such a scathing speech coming from the Head Boy, of all people, now THAT was something! Harley couldn't hold back her grin, pleased that the Girl Gang hadn't been the only ones planning on leaving Hogwarts with a bang. It made her reevaluate her whole opinion of Jerara, and Harley wished she had gotten to know him better. When his speech was over she cheered, pumping her fist in the air. "HELL YEAH, STICK IT TO THE MAN!" Harley called out, clapping loudly. That was a speech she didn't imagine Hogwarts would soon forget.

Jerara's speech had hyped Harley back up enough that she almost forgot what was coming next. It was hard to resist the urge to make a mouth fart while Professor Alicastell was trying to save face but she held back, the sudden reminder that this was the end of her time at school striking her once again. Time to be... all serious and stuff. Plus, Rose's mum was here, and Harley didn't want to make the worst impression on the Minister, if she was going to be flatting with her daughter after school. She just listened quietly until it was time to actually start getting their diplomas. She clapped and cheered for her friends as they crossed the stage, whistling enthusiastically for Hayley, and then finally, finally Harley's turn had come. She bounded onto the stage with a grin, unable to wipe the cheeky expression off her face as she shook the headmistress's hand and accepted her diploma. This was it! She had finished school, forever! Harley couldn't hold back the impulse to whoop as she leaped down the stairs off the stage, and ran over to rejoin her friends. Adults now, with their whole lives ahead of them and nothing to keep them back.
