Gryffindor Quidditch Practice Y40 S1

Elara saw the gold, and she felt her body try to go after it, but she just couldn't make herself move for some reason, watching as Flynn caught the snitch. She pursed her lips, hoping that the next time, the ball would be hers.
 
Nikko wasn't used to being the target of bludgers much so the hit shook him up rather good. Or at least that would be his excuse for Chloe scoring so many goals but really she was just that good.
 
Chloë grinned when Stan made another shot, quickly catching the quaffle and heading off again.
 
Isaiah chased after another bludger, aiming it for Flynn but grimacing when it soared towards @Elara Chatelain instead. “Heads up, El!” He called in an attempt to warn her even if he knew there wasn’t much she could do about it.
 
Once the snitch had flown off again he set off to look for it again.
 
Stan was doing alright so far, which he was very happy about. When Chloe caught the quaffle from the keeping he immediately went to follow her.
 
Emma hit the next bludger she saw, aiming it at Lysander as he could hit it back and he had told her to go easy on the new guys. But it went off-course and hit one of the new kids instead. Oops.

Nikko got ready as Chole came towards him with the quaffle. If he could block one of her shots he would feel accomplished.
 
Chloë continued on towards the hoops, swerving to the right at the last minute and tossing the quaffle through the hoop.
 
Isaiah noticed another bludger close and chased after it, giving it a whack and watching it sail right for @Flynn North.
 
Flynn didn't see the bludger until it was too late, wincing as it smacked into his leg. That had hurt and he sent the alternate a glare as he flew past him.
 
Getting hit by a bludger hurt a lot more than be expected. Pushing through the pain, Stan caught the ball when it was thrown back and made for the opposite side of the pitch.
 
Elara was so distracted by her thoughts about Flynn that she barely registered Zay's warning, feeling the bludger hit her jaw. She'd never been hit in the face before with the bludger, but it was definitely not advised. She cupped her hand around it and lean forward on the broom for a moment, before sitting back up.
 
Chloë set out to follow Stan as he made off with the quaffle, staying right on his tail.
 
Isaiah felt bad for hitting El, but at least he had managed to hit Flynn as well right after. Maybe that would balance things out. Setting after another bludger he gave it a whack when he reached it, grimacing when it didn’t move the way he wanted to and headed for @Ronald Lazarao instead.
 
He blinked when he saw Elara get smacked in the face with a bludger. That had got to hurt more than being hit in the leg.
 
With Chloe right behind him, Stan decided to zigzag once more in the hope that he could lose her. She was fast and could very well steal the quaffle from him if he didn't pass the ball to Zee or attempt to score a goal himself. When he did not seeing Zee near him, he decided to have another go at it. He let out a 'yes!' when it went through the hoop and turned back around.
 
Chloë was feeling quite confident in the determination their new chasers seemed to be showing. She watched as Stan made another shot and caught the quaffle again when Ronald threw it back out.
 
Isaiah hung back a little, scanning the sky for another bludger to hit.
 
His eyes lingered on the alternate for just a moment longer before they moved on and he went back to scouring the sky for any sign of the snitch.
 
Emma hit a bludger, but it sailed harmlessly between two players.
 
Elara could feel the pain from her jaw radiating into a massive headache, but she pushed it out of her mind. Even though the bludgers didn't hurt as bad during practice, she figured it'd still leave a bruise and kept her eye out for gold. Hopefully she could catch the snitch at least once during practice.
 
Chloë continued towards the hoops, trying to stay ahead of the other chasers. She lined up her shot when she got close enough and felt a little bad for Nikko when it sailed through again.
 
Stan was a bit annoyed that he couldn't seem to steal the quaffle away from Chloe, though partially blamed the hit with the bludger for that. He caught the quaffle underneath his arm when it was thrown to him and sped towards Ronald once more, watching to see if Zee would join him.
 
Nikko was starting to accept that today just wasn't his day as he threw the quaffle back into the game.
