Gryffindor Practice #3

Lysander raced after another bludger, keeping an eye out for who to target.

Sierra thought she saw the snitch again but after zooming closer, there was nothing there. Her eyes were starting to play tricks on her!

Determined to get the most out of practice and still set on not making it easy for the others Chloë swept in when the quaffle was thrown back into play, catching it before either Sully or Noel had the chance and taking off in the opposite direction once she had gained possession of it.

Willow watched Sierra start to fly towards a point. She followed the girl hoping to catch up and get to the snitch first. But as the other seeker slowed she realised that there was no snitch there. So she looked around and continued her search.

Lysander watched his teammate take the quaffle again and trailed along behind her, keeping an eye out for stray bludgers.

Chloë was glad she had some backup from Lysander in case any bludgers were hit her way. She took a lap around the pitch before turning back towards the hoops, keeping an eye out for the other chasers. Once she got to the scoring area she took her shot, disappointed when she didn’t manage to get the quaffle through again.

Sierra continued to fly around the pitch, looking for the snitch.

Lysander swung his bat at a bludger, and groaned when it completely missed his target. He wasn't having any luck this practice.

Sierra narrowly dodged a bludger as it came zooming towards her. Trying to find the snitch and avoid flying death balls at the same time was difficult.

Lysander dipped to avoid running into someone else, and chased after another bludger.

Emma listened to Jacob as he spoke, gasping in shock when he named Lysander as one of his co captains. She squealed and clapped for her best friend. She was so proud of him, even if she was also a bit mad at him for not telling her. She was on the other team than he was, so maybe she could knock a bludger or two his way for keeping it a secret. Practice got started, and Emma cheered as Emma caught the snitch quickly. Their team had scored too, which made her happy as well. Emma tried to follow bludgers to hit, but so far she wasn't doing so well. Emma cheered when Sierra caught the snitch again. She was still a bit bitter about not being the seeker herself, but at least she was doing well. Emma chased after a bludger, but failed to hit it entirely.

The bludgers were being especially annoying this game. Jacob took another swing but missed as yet another bludger swerved away before he could make contact.

Sierra sighed as she flew around the pitch, still not able to spot the snitch.

Emma caught up with the bludger she had been chasing and aimed it at Sully. To her surprise, it actually hit him. And... she then remembered he was on her team. Emma called. "Sorry!"

@Solomon Tofilau

Chloë caught the quaffle again when it was thrown back into play, securing it under her arm and turning around to do a lap with it to get some extra movement in.

Sierra practiced doing a few upside down swirls while looking for the snitch. You never knew when you might have to use it.

2a (I think??)
Despite showing up to practice a little late, Knox was determined to play his best and make the team proud. He smiled when Jacob announced the new captains before announcing who would be on team scarlet and team gold, and once the practice began Knox flew into the air, happy to be playing alongside Chloe again and hopeful that with Lysander as their beater and Willow as their seeker this practice would be fun for everyone.
Following the quaffle around the pitch, Knox eventually managed to fly closer to Chloe and secure the quaffle from her. She was playing so well and Knox was proud to be playing alongside her again but he didn’t want her to be too exhausted and feel as if he wasn’t there to support her. With a smile Knox began to fly a lap around the pitch.

Willow kept flying pausing to watch her teammates play. She was going to miss this. She kept scanning for the snitch to but it was too busy being elusive to let her catch it.

Sierra started to hum a song to herself, feeling bored without a sighting of the snitch.

Willow saw a glint in the distance. She turned around lying forward to propel herself towards the ball. As she got closer she saw the ball dard around a little bit she stretched her arm out and it flirted out of her reach. By the time she had turned around it had gone.

Knox flew a lap around the pitch, soon approaching the hoops. He mustered all the strength he could to throw the quaffle to the hoop on the far left, and felt his jaw drop slightly with surprise and happiness to see the quaffle went through. Smiling to himself, Knox tried not to let his first successful goal get to his head as he swerved back around to see who caught the quaffle when it was thrown back into the game.

Chloë was happy to pass the quaffle over to Knox so he could have a go at it as well. She flew close to him as back up in case Noel or Sully got to close. She happily cheered when he managed to get the quaffle through the hoops, giving him a thumbs up when he flew back and waited to see who would catch the quaffle.

Lysander paused his flying to applaud Knox's score. "Yeaaah, Knox!" He shouted, pleased with a point for Team Scarlet. He carried on, swinging his bat at a passing bludger, and watching it soar into @Jacob Kingsley.

Sully was doing his best to keep on top of the quaffle, a task that was significantly hindered when Emma managed to nail him with a bludger. "Jeeeez," He hissed, waving a hand to acknowledge Emma's apology and trying to shrug the hit off. Knox managed to score while he was distracted as well and Sully shook his head to clear it, scoop up the quaffle and flying back to clear some space from the hoops.

Not wasting time that would give the other practice team a chance to interfere, Sully shot back towards the hoops, cheering as he flung the quaffle hard at the far right hoop and it managed to go in.
