Y42 S1 Hufflepuff Practice

René was hot on the heals of a bludger, slowing some as he took a swing right as Renata let out a cheer further down the pitch. He turned his head to look, altering the angle of his swing by mistake and sending the bludger right into @Leonardo Orr by mistake.

Right as Leonardo caught the quaffle after Renata's attempt to score, a heavy bludger hit into him. Pain erupted, and he nearly dropped the quaffle. But he just had to push through the pain and push towards the hoops.
 
Zag still felt a bit nervous, but he tried to focus on the practice and where the quaffle was.
 
Leonardo got close to the hoops and threw the ball, feeling very disappointed when he missed. He'd been on the team a couple of years now, he had to be better than this.
 
Seeing bludgers hitting people was alarming, and Penelope tried to stay far away from the beaters.
 
Felix kept looking for the snitch.
 
René felt pretty bad as he saw Leo fumbling with the quaffle, ducking his head and doing a loop to pretend to be extra busy until he caught up to another bludger.
 
Zag managed to block the next shot, scooping up the quaffle and passing to an open chaser.
 
Leonardo grabbed the ball as no one else went for the quaffle.
 
Their new alt. seeker was still pretty small and René felt bad targeting her, but he needed the practice. He took a swing, sending a bludger her way, but she was doing a good job of avoiding it and he grimaced as it shot past her and into @Jordan Harris instead.

Penelope flew a little closer to the ground and looked around carefully.
 
Jordie hung back, letting the others have their shots. He knew they were capable, so he hung back, occasionally shouting out pointers. "It's okay, Leo, I know you got this!" He called to the younger boy, following behind him. "You're leaning a little when you throw, it's curving your ball," @Leonardo Orr
 
Felix started to frown a bit when he still hadn't seen any sign of the snitch. He noticed Penelope was flying quite low. "Any luck down there?" he called out to her.
 
Leonardo nodded quietly to Jordie's advice and when he went to score he tried to avoid leaning when he did so and it helped. The ball went in. He was pretty pleased to be able to score.
 
Zagreus tried to stay positive as he hovered in front of the hoops.
 
René stretched out his arms, remembering once again how much they could hurt after playing for a little while.
 
Felix sighed as no snitch appeared.
 
Penelope kept on flying around, keeping an eye on both bludgers.
 
Tilly cheered when Leonardo made a goal. She didn't cheer, however, when she hit @Renata Stepanova with her next bludger- that would not be good sportswomanship.

Renata cheered as Leo scored a goal, swooping in to grab the quaffle, now she had to make up for it by scoring one herself. She did nearly drop the quaffle immediately when she was hit with a bludger, fumbling it for a moment before tucking it under her arm and giving Tilly a thumbs-up to show she was okay.
 
Felix kept looking.
 
Tilly protected her teammates.
 
Felix sighed and continued to fly around the pitch. He hoped the snitch would show itself soon.
 
Renata took a shot on goal, lining it up and quickly throwing to the rightmost hoop, and thankfully managed to get it through. Third time was a charm!
 
René was always impressed when the chasers managed to make a shot even after taking a bludger hit. He wasn't sure he would have been able to do it. What he was sure about was his next shot, grinning as he managed to line it up perfectly to knock a bludger finally into their new alt. seeker who'd been eluding him so far. @Penelope Marshall
