Y41 S1 Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice

Hamish thought he saw a glint of gold and he shot after it. After several moments of chasing, his heart in his throat, his fingers wrapped around the tiny golden ball. He straightened up, holding his arm up with the snitch for the captain. "Sawyer! Hey, I did it!" He smiled, and once he saw the captain had seen it, he let the snitch go, straightening his glasses before starting his search again.

When no one else went for the quaffle, Bran flew forward and grabbed it.

Valeria hoped eventually she'd turn this around and be hitting a bunch at people, but it seemed for now it wouldn't.

When Hamish released the snitch, it shot upward. Sefina zoomed after it, grinning when her hands wrapped around the feathered ball. It felt a little like cheating since the othe seeker had just let go of it, but she had to get used to chasing this thing.

Sawyer had dove right when Branson shot left, clicking his tongue in annoyance as the quaffle sailed through unhindered. He didn't have time to be disappointed for long though, attention caught by Hamish holding up the snitch. "Shi-Wow, dude, good job!" He called, tucking the quaffle under an arm to give him a thumbs up before throwing it back out. Sefina immediately swooped in and grabbed it again as Hamish let go and Sawyer stifled an impressed laugh at the cheekiness of the move. "Still counts!" He told her, grinning quietly to himself. This had to be a good sign for their upcoming game.

Branson was distracted by the seekers and their victory that he did miss the hoop when he went to score.

Valeria managed to hit a bludger but it only went a short way before bounding back too quickly and almost hitting her.

Sawyer had to doubletake when he realized Branson was on the move again with the quaffle, though he seemed equally distracted and the shot missed the hoop, leaving Sawyer to scoop up the quaffle and throw it back out.

Now was as good a time as any, and Michael knew his advantage to his size was speed. He ducked in and grabbed the quaffle, circling around to keep the ball under control while he flew.

Sawyer nearly missed Michael taking the quaffle, he was quick on broom already which was good and Sawyer had admittedly been watching Valeria nearly hit herself with a blugder. He knew it wasn't very captain-ly to laugh at his own team's mistakes, so he did his best to school his face to a discerning look as he turned his attention to the quaffle instead.

Michael whipped back around avoiding any obstacles and threw the quaffle directly in to one of the hoops, giving a cheer as it actually went through.

Sawyer would be the first to admit he'd underestimated Michael, not expecting him to move that quick and giving him basically a free shot at goal as he just did a double-take before grabbing the quaffle. "Dang," he said with an impressed huff, throwing the quaffle back out. He'd have to be on guard next time Michael came at him.

Xiuying got a hold of the quaffle when the quaffle was thrown back out and circled around to the hoops.

As good as Branson was, Sawyer was glad to see the other chasers getting hands on the quaffle even if it made his job harder to remember their different play styles when he was blocking.

when Xiuying was close enough to the hoops, she threw the quaffle towards the hoops but had completely missed yet again.

Sefina quickly lost sight of the snitch after she released it. She hoped she would find it again soon.

Hamish smiled at the younger seeker before continuing his search.

Sawyer was ready for Xiuying but it seemed like her aim was off as the shot missed the hoops. "Bit windy out, aye," he called to her mildly, throwing the quaffle back out.

Michael grinned at Sawyer as he swooped in to grab the quaffle, a little unsteady for just a second but quickly regaining his composure. "You wizarding folk sure know how to add higher stakes to your sports, hey." He knew he should hang back a bit and let the main chasers at the shots but he'd at least take another go if he could.

Branson flew in behind the new chaser as the other boy had the ball.

Valeria continued to look for a bludger to hit.

Nik had to admit, it was quite amusing how enthusiastic the alternate chaser was. Tho, Nik just followed him, hoping for a chance to steal the quaffle.

Michael wasn't so lucky with his next attempt, not managing to make a goal.

Hamish continued his search.

Sefina weaved through the other players, thinking she saw a glint of gold, but it was just a trick of the light.
