Sutton once again caught herself day dreaming. This certainly would not work well in a game. She had to stay focused. Luckily, flying bludgers seemed to bring her back into reality and fast. As one came her way, she swung hard. The bat did connect, but the bludger soared in the completely opposite direction that she had intended.
Sawyer knocked Branson's shot aside, dropping down to grab it before it could get too far before throwing it back out. He checked his watch, noting they didn't have long before he'd have to call it a day.
Sutton knew practice had to be coming to a close. They had been flying forever, way longer than her practices at home with Zee and Eston. She wanted to actually do her job one more time, even if it meant hitting one of her teammates. She swung the bat again, almost hitting her target. But almost wasn't good enough.
Sawyer paused for a moment to watch how the team was fairing, smiling when he saw Sutton working hard after the bludgers. Sure, she wasn't hitting anyone but she was definitely trying.
Checking his watch, Sawyer blew the whistle, signalling the team to wrap it up and join him back on the ground. "Uh, good job everyone, really, espeically you seekers. Beaters, be ready for a hard offense during our game, Hufflepuff doesn't mess around with those bludgers," he said, thinking grimly of just how hard he knew Tilly could hit.
