Y41 S1 Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice

When Xiuying was close enough to the hoops, the chaser threw the quaffle towards the left hoop, but the quaffle didn't make it through the hoop.

Finn clenched his jaw as he flew on, heading towards a bludger. He swung, groaning slightly as it flew wide of hitting any of his teammates.

Sutton must have gotten a lucky shot the first time as she once again hit the bludger missing a teammate. She had to channel Zee more. She could do this. It was her story now. Next time she thought

Hamish continued his search.

Sefina scanned the skies for the snitch. No luck this time.

Sutton was honestly trying her best. She hoped that everyone understood that. Maybe she was trying too hard to be someone else. Did Percy Jackson struggle this much when he had to save his mother from Hades? Well, yes. But Sutton was not a book character, not matter how much she wished she could be. She tried once again to hit the bludger at a chaser. It was closer this time but did miss. Darn! She thought as she began to fly around the pitch looking for another chance.

Branson caught the ball as it was thrown back out.

Valeria was frustrated as she continued to try to hit bludgers at players only to entirely miss.

Sutton tried once more. She didn't understand why this wasn't working. Practicing with her siblings made this so much easier. The bludger that came in contact with her bat missed again.

When Branson got close enough he threw the ball and happily watch it sail in. He needed to do more of that.

Valeria had caught up to a bludger and swung to hit it and missed entirely. Sometimes this game was very frustrating.

Hamish continued his search, trying to tune out the rest of practice as he searched the skies.

Finn flew on, hand starting to feel numb around his bat. He was having no luck whatsoever, and a horrifying vision began to loom in his mind of Sawyer kicking him off the team for being terrible. He didn't know how bitter the younger boy was about their misunderstanding, but if he was looking for a reason to get rid of Finn it wouldn't be that hard to find one.

Michael continued doing laps, hanging back to let the main team chasers get more practice in until he felt in a good position to join the other chasers. He was getting confident, trying to move the broom up and down and fly in a serpentine motion, making it like club warmups.

((read: said good position is when Camilla is not at work and has a better grasp on the system :r ))

The bludger came at her again. Screaming out of habit, Sutton hit the bat against the ball. Defense of course. The ball was hit hard in the opposite direction. She had to be better at aiming it. It went to the area where no one was at.

Sefina thought the snitch was much harder to find in practice than in the tryouts. Well, at least it was a challenge.

Sawyer was ready to block Xiuying's shot, but less so when Branson came back around. Without a recent bludger to slow him down, Sawyer wasn't quick enough to block the goal, grabbing the quaffle on its way down and chucking it back out. He was briefly distracted by a scream from Sutton, stifling a laugh behind his hand as he watched her at least manage to hit the bludger that had startled her away.

Finn jumped at a sudden scream from the newest beater, flying over to check on her. "Are you okay?"

Sawyer was glad to see Finn checking on Sutton, hopefully they'd work as a good team together for their upcoming matches.

When no one else went for the quaffle, Branson flew forward and grabbed it. Beginning to circle back to the hoops.

Valeria did hate failing, so it really was a pity she just kept doing it in this practice.

Sawyer pulled his eyes away from the beaters as Branson took up the quaffle again, rolling his shoulders to try and loosen up before Branson took another shot at the hoops.

Finn hovered near Sutton, wanting to make sure she was okay before he resumed the hunt for bludgers.

Xiuying followed closely behind Branson, trying to see if she was able to steal the quaffle before Branson could score again.

Branson was pretty frustrated to miss the hoop when he went to score. He needed to be doing better than that.
