Y38 Hufflepuff Practice

Connor was relieved for a break, taking the time to stretch his arms out and swig some water before returning to the skies.

Tilly knocked a bludger towards Connor. However, she was unlucky once again and the bludger went off course. It crashed into @Lucas Fletcher. She grimaced in sympathy- even though the boy had gotten a break, he had taken two bludgers earlier.

Just as Lillith received the quaffle when it was thrown back, she was smacked by Tilly's bludger. "Oof" Lillith dropped the quaffle and when she recovered gave a toothy grin and and a thumbs-up to Tilly.

With the practice this brutal, Lucas was glad for the break Elliot announced. He spent some time taking care of his bruises and grabbing some water, then took back to the air. But before he could do much, another bludger hit him. While the break had helped, it still hurt. He grit his teeth, and tried his best to give Tilly a thumbs up and a smile, though it was more of a grimace.

Tilly switched back to defense, planning to protect her teammates as much as she could for the rest of the practice. She'd maimed enough of them already.

After dropping the quaffle, Lillith dived down to retrieve it and began another lap around the pitch.

Tilly guarded her teammates and hoped none of them were too mad at her.

Lillith went for another goal, but maybe Lillith's hopes were too high, making three goals in a row was a difficult thing to do.

Tilly tried not to think too hard about their first game of the year. She really hoped she could get in some more bludger hits. The games always seemed to end before she could do much.

Amy caught the Quaffle as it was thrown back into play and began to fly around the pitch.

Amy decided that while she had the Quaffle, she might as well try to score. She was very pleased when the Quaffle flew through the right hoop.

Tilly watched as Amy sent the Quaffle through the hoop. The bludgers seemed to be losing their spirit.

Elliot grimaced when Lucas took another hit right after getting back into the air. It was rough, but he knew both seekers needed to be on constant alert for the bludgers at any time. He was still keeping an eye on Lucas when something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. Swiveling before he had a chance to think, Elliot shot after it, grinning as he managed to scoop up the snitch yet again.

René followed this way and that after the other chasers, pleased when he managed to grab the quaffle again after Amy managed to score.

Elliot released the snitch, feeling pretty content with how the team was playing today. Practice was winding down, but he hoped they could squeeze out a bit more effort before calling it a day.

OOCOut of Character:
Practice will end in about 24 hours so get in those last minute posts!

Shooting forward, René got overly excited as he made a shot at the far right goal. He was too eager though, and his shot didn't make it through, much to his disappointment.

Tilly was about ready for a post-practice nap. Her arms were getting tired.

Elliot leant forward on his broom, resting his arms as he circled the pitch. It'd be nice to nab the snitch again, but he was ready to ease back some and just watch the team until practice ended.

René was still close enough to the hoops that he was able to grab the quaffle as it was thrown back in, checking over his shoulder for the other chasers.

Tilly had the feeling that the practice was going to wrap up soon. She smacked a bludger, but hit no one. Everyone on the team would have bruises to nurse after today, thanks to Tilly and Connor.

Taking a quick lap of the pitch, René tried another Hail Mary attempt at a goal. He was no where near close enough to get it through though, giving Linden an apologetic smile since he'd be forced to dive after the quaffle as René's shot fell short.

Elliot quickly checked his watch, figuring they should call it a day soon. "Hey, start warming down, guys, we can call it a bit," he called to the team, taking a few more laps of the pitch.

René hung back, wondering if he could manage another goal before practice ended.

Practice seemed to be winding down and Elliot figured he'd do another few laps before calling it a day, glancing over at Amy to check in with her.
