Aramis was ready this time for Édelie, pleased as he managed to bat away the quaffle before it could make it through the hoop. Of course, it'd be better if he could catch it instead of just knocking it aside, but Aramis was happy anytime he could stop a goal, regardless. Grabbing the quaffle, he threw it back out to the chasers.
Édelie was realized that practice was a little over halfway over, and she hoped that everyone would feel like it was a successful one as she waited for someone to catch the quaffle.
Gemma stayed close to Amelie and kept an eye out for bludgers. But at this point she wasn't sure if the other girl really needed the protection at this point.
Aramis could hear the humming again, and he nearly missed Gaby taking her shot at goal, getting just in front of it enough to block it from making it into the hoop, though it was definitely not his more graceful attempt. Sheepishly, he scooped the quaffle back up, throwing it out to Édelie.
Édelie tried to score again, failing miserably, and held back, watching the players to make sure the game was going okay. Being captain required a lot of multi-tasking!
Gemma finally saw a bludger wiz past her head, so close she could feel it brush past her hair. She gasped but a second later she was racing after it. She managed to catch up and hit the bludger away but it missed it's mark and she frowned.
Édelie saw Gemma attempt to hit a bludger and then turned her attention to Hugo for a few moments. "Keep going all! We just have about 10 to 15 minutes left of practice." She hoped the knowledge of it almost being over would provide some extra motivation.
Out of Character:
I'll be closing practice down on Sunday 3/14 (Happy Pi Day!!) so be sure to get those posts in.
Amelie looked over to the captain as she spoke and smiled, nodding and giving her a thumbs up before turning her attention back to the sky. Maybe she could catch the snitch a fifth time.
