Y37 Hufflepuff Practice S1

Lillith got down from the pitch early, satisfied with the amount of shots she was able to put in so far. She grabbed some water and checked on her arm. It was bruised for sure, but most of the pain had subsided. "Hey Tilly! You were really great out there!" She said, talking to Tilly who was right beside her. She offered her a bottle of water.

@Tilly Drage

Connor had to admit he was relieved when Elliot called a time out. At this rate he was worried about actually taking his teammates out of practice, and that was something Connor would definitely feel bad about. He headed to the ground with the rest of the team and took advantage of the break to get some water and check on the people he had hit, making sure they were okay. Once the break was over he kicked off again, bat in hand, and started looking for bludgers to hit.

Elliot took a moment to stretch and get some water, the day having warmed up after some time in the air, though there was still a cold wind about. He still ached from the bludger hits, but he hoped the timeout would give everyone a second wind. He was beyond impressed with their team so far, and after checking in with Abian, he kicked back into the air so they could get back to it.

Tilly descended to the ground and dismounted, setting her bat just beside her broom. She gratefully accepted the bottle of water from @Lillith Montgomery. “Thanks- you did great, too. Sorry I walloped you with a bludger.” At this rate, she would need to say sorry to everyone on the team.

As Tilly tilted her head back to take a drink, she felt a wave of nausea again. She managed to hold it together. No way was she going to leave practice early. After she had chugged down the rest of her water, she hopped back onto her broom in search of her next victim- er, bludger.

Lillith smiled and shook her head. It was their job after all to hit them. The more pain they got during practice, the more pain the other teams would feel during the official games. And that would give them a better chance to win the quidditch cup. She finished her water and got back on the broom, doing some laps as she waited for the practice to resume.

Now that her teammates were refreshed, Tilly smashed the next bludger towards them. It missed.

Connor took to Elliot's side again for a bit, having enjoyed the defensive play a bit more than the offense when it came to his own teammates.

Amy was relieved when Elliot called a break. She poked her side, and winced slightly. She had to give it to Connor, he could hit a bludger with a good amount of force. Trying not to bump it, she drank some water, before mounting her broom and flying off to look out for who had the Quaffle.

Lillith decided to try and score again from a distance, but it flew over the hoops. She went to retrieve it and passed it to another chaser.

Connor stayed by Elliot's side, shadowing the older seeker to try and defend him from any nearby bludgers.

Amy caught the Quaffle that Lillith threw into play. She flew off, keeping an eye out for another chaser to pass to.

Whacking another bludger towards her teammates, Tilly was impressed when everyone managed to avoid it again.

With the team mostly back in the air, Elliot was impressed that the bludgers were already flying again, grateful to have Connor by his side. He'd completely lost site of the snitch after their quick break, so he was going to be starting back from square one.

Tilly slapped a bludger so hard it almost cried for its mama. But ultimately, it didn't hit anyone.

Elliot appreciated having Connor protect him, but he also decided to try and keep his distance from Tilly for now, not wanting another bludger hit even after their break. He flew a bit higher over the pitch, trying to get a decent view of things.

Connor stuck close to Elliot, trying not to look down as they flew higher. He had never been particularly afraid of heights, but it was hard not to get a little dizzy this high up.

Elliot hovered for a moment, wary of the bludgers moving about as he scanned the pitch. There was some promising movement and with a quick glance at Connor, Elliot shot off after it to investigate.

Tilly smacked a bludger towards the chasers. They did a great job at avoiding it. She was proud of her teammates- and slightly glad she wasn't hurting them so much this round.

Swooping downwards, Elliot frowned, having lost sight of the snitch, if it had even been there in the first place. Shaking his head, looped back upwards, hoping to get back to a decent vantage point and try again.

Practice will end sometime this upcoming Friday. Keep up the great work everyone and get in those last few posts 💪

Amy didn't see any fellow chasers as she approached the goals, so she decided to try to score. She figured it'd be nice to at least get one shot in. The Quaffle flew in the hoop and she grinned.

Tilly tried to deflect a bludger that was veering too close to the hoops. The bludger moved an inch just as her bat connected with it. The iron ball then hit @Amy Jewel. Tilly felt awful- the poor girl was probably trying to enjoy a well-earned victory, and she'd ruined it.

"SORRY, AMY!" Tilly hollered. "But- good job!"

Amy barely had time to celebrate before she got hit by another bludger. Thankfully, it hit her arm and not the other bruise."It's okay!" she called back to Tilly.

Lillith grabbed the quaffle that Amy threw in and passed it to another chaser, dodging a couple of Tilly’s bludgers in the process.

Watching the pitch, Elliot winced when he saw Amy get hit by another bludger. He was relieved she seemed okay and he tried to focus back on hunting down the snitch.
