Open The Stands

Noelle artived at the stands to cheer for the team. He was there with @Willow Cullen to watch the match. He was proud to see Alexis march into the pitch. The Ravenclaw was his relative by marriage and a close friend of hers. "She's family by marriage.", pointing the sixth year to the redhead. Looking around, he just noticed @Xavier Mackintosh, Alexis' boyfriend. Noelle was curious how his fellow Puff would cheer with his girlfriend playing against their house.

Leda of course was going to watch all the matches could, to see how the seekers got on. She overheard Noelle talking to Willow and scoffed, “Yeah like that means anything,” family by marriage meant you were forced to be friends with them. Friends who were family by choice were much better. Just because her sister had gotten involved with West didn’t mean Leda was now automatically family to Asphodel, besides family weren’t everything.

This would be Lysander's first Quidditch match at Hogwarts, and to say he was excited was an understatement. He was kind of glad it wasn't his house in play first, so he had this opportunity to watch the other houses compete outside of practices for a change. Not that he was likely to get to play a match himself when it came time for Gryffindor to compete, not unless Gwen or Jacob suspiciously took ill on the morning of a match. The boy took a seat on the stands, his arms filled with sugary snacks to keep him from getting too peckish while watching the game. He couldn't say he was too familiar with most of the players on the Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff teams, but he figured he could follow what Norton was doing, as the leader of the wild patch was one of the few faces he recognised. Taking a bite of his liquorice wand, Sander got comfortable and waited for the match to kick off.

Juno had incredibly mixed feelings about quidditch. On one hand she love her Quidditch lessons and wanted to do all the flying she could, but on the other hand how could she play for her house when her house at heart wasn’t Slytherin? She hated being part of the snakes, and supporting them would only make her feel disloyal. She sat nervously, hoping they were about to see the Eagles win. She’d mentioned to Apollo that she’d be here although whether or not he turned up would be his choice. Other students seemed to be chatting between themselves or eating snacks, but the blonde just wanted to watch people fly.

Willow made her way to the stands. She was a huge quidditch fan and even though ehr team wasnt laying today she was there with noelle and there was no question as to which team she was supporting. dressed in yellow she was ready to cheer for the house of her boyfriend, her cousin and her uncle. also the house she suspected her brother would be in once he was sorted next year.
she watched as the teams came onto the pitch and listened as Noelle pointed out not a Hufflepuff but a Ravenclaw sating that she was a family by marriage. she was about to say something to try and figure out where the family was as he had said his family was complicated but hadn't told her that much about it when she heard a voice behind them. she looked around to see @Leda Layton. "oh buzz of leda. do you really have so few friends that you have to butt into other peoples conversations because no-one wants to talk to you" she said before turning to Noelle? "how is she related to you? she asked. wondering if learning about people in his family as they were mentioned would help her picture the complexities that he claimed his family had.

Lily hurried into the stands. Was she late? She felt like she was late. She had just wanted to finish the sign finished. She found a place in the stands, not noticing who she was near. She stood on one of the seats after making sure no one was behind her. She stood on tiptoe and tried to hold the sign up high enough that both Elliot and Lars could see it. The sign was too big for her, but she was sure she could hold it. In big, bright yellow it read 'Elliot', surrounded by sunflowers, and below that in a bright blue it read 'lars' and was surrounded by stars. Both were covered in glitter. It might not have been very original, but she had put all of her heart into it. She smiled as she thought she saw both @Elliot Briar and @Lars van Houten look her way. But before she could be sure, she felt her toe slip. With a squeak, she went toppling forward.

The match hadn't started yet as Aleks made her way to the Stands for the first match of the season. She absolutely loved Quidditch, she went to every game. Of course official matches were much more brutal, which she loved, but these matches were usually quick and easy and she couldn't wait to see what would happen. Jackson, of course, was who she was here to cheer on and by extension of course the Ravenclaw team. She would like to see a couple of wins under his belt as his last season Captaining and though she knew she sucked at Quidditch herself, she knew that Jackson absolutely did not. She was wearing a Ravenclaw scarf she'd stolen off of her brother last year, just to show her connection to the team, she was sure Jackson would appreciate it, why wouldn't he? She quickly hopped up into the stands and took a seat next to a young Gryffindor who seemed to have brought snacks, he was clearly smarter than she was as she hadn't brought any. Oh well. "Who are you here for?" She asked him, curiously, as she ignored whatever seemed to be going on at the other end.

There was about a handful of quidditch connection in his family for Kace to be oblivious of the game. The most notable ones are his cousin Danielle, who played professionally in a team and his dad, who's a so-called agent for up and coming preeminent players. He signs the contracts with new players and teams, that's the simplest way Kace can describe his dad's profession. Kace is all in with dancing, but that did not forbid from enjoying a regular quidditch matchup. He attends them whenever his dad would score some tickets, it was one of his favorite past-time. Kace bounce his way up to the stand and sat down beside Lily, who currently was holding up a sign supporting both Elliot and Lars. Kace personally has yet to speak to Lars, he gave a thumbs up for the sign. "Cool sign, Lily, You think our boy, Elli-o is gonna play today?" There was the other connection, Kace was shocked to hear Elliot tried out for the team. His friend just didn't look the type to be out there playing such a tough sport. Kace underestimated his Hufflepuff friend, and for that, he will support him and enjoy the game while he was at it. And then there was Wendy, Kace can't forget her. He wonders what Tracy Bell would think of her granddaughter taking the same risk as Elliot. "Let's go, Elliot! Let's go, Wendy!"

The anxious feeling of sitting in the stands and watching his daughter on the field was one Matt had gotten used to over the years, but that didn't make it any less nerve wrecking. He felt a mixture of pride and fear as he saw April talk to the others on the field. He hadn't been surprised when she had been made captain, and was sure she would do a good job. He just wished the new status would protect her from bludgers, but he suspected it would only make her more of a target. Matt followed the yellow flash that was his daughter carefully as the game began. He missed having October in the stands with him, though in this match she would have been on the field as well. Matt couldn't help but notice how young her replacement was. He hoped neither seeker would be hit by bludgers today. But the game was only going on for a little while when he noticed April turn abruptly and speed off in another direction. He leaned forward to see what she was doing, and before he knew it, she was triumphantly holding her hand in the air with the snitch in it. Matt jumped up with his arms in the air, cheering. "YES! APRIL!" He yelled, though there was no way she could hear him. All his worries were now forgotten, and he only felt pride as he watched his daughter's success.

Alec had never watched a real Quidditch game before, but she was very excited to watch Gryffindor play Slytherin. She’d been too busy studying last semester but nothing was going to stop the first year heading to the stands that afternoon, to watch her own house smash the snakes. To make it even more interesting, her best friend was playing too, and even if he did end up sat on the benches, Alec still wanted to make sure he had the support of his house. “WOOOOOO GO SANDY!” She shouted as loud as her little voice could carry towards the students on the pitch. She was dressed in all the red gear she could find, and was bouncing from foot to foot as she waited for the game to start.

Star was eager to keep up with Quidditch, mainly because he knew his friends liked the games and it was good to be aware of what was happening around the school. Flying in general was a terrible prospect to the first year though who had managed to break his own wrist during one of his last flying lessons and no one would ever be able to convince him to get in a broom for fun. He entered the stands though and say near the front, genuinely interested to see how this match played out. On one hand, his friend was on the Gryffindor team, but then his cousin was on the Slytherin too, and so the brunette remained quiet as he waited to see what would happen next. If nothing else, he just hoped no one got hurt.

It was good to be back, and the professor was both eager and anxious for today's matchup. She made sure to head to the pitch early to get a good seat. Cyndi was wearing a Gryffindor t-shirt, ready to cheer on the whole team. The woman felt like she had to make up for having not been around for the Gryffindors for a whole semester. And she certainly felt that doubly so for her own son. The woman had looked for Jacob earlier but he was either avoiding her or just that good at not being found. She wasn't sure which though things had seemed well between them when they'd arrived to the castle.

Juno wouldn’t have missed Quidditch for anything. The chance to ascend to the tallest part of the pitch, and feel like excitement and wind rush past her in a game brought the blonde more adrenaline that she could have imagined, even if it wasn’t her that was playing. She would have loved to be part of a team like that, winning against her classmates, but there was no way she was going to support Slytherin. No matter how great they were it wasn’t where her heart was, and Juno was neutral for the two teams playing that day. She stood near the front so that if anyone flew near them it would like she could almost touch them, but more than anything she just envisioned herself in their shoes instead, flying through the air with powerful freedom.

Ever since Elio had gotten himself caught in a chanting battle with Analei in his second year, the Gryffindor felt overwhelming pride and defense for his house during the games. He would come equipped with banners and new lines should he need to get involved, and a battle with Slytherin was no different. He spotted his Head of House already here, and the boy bounded up to her side with a grin on his face. “We’re gonna win right,” he said as more of a statement than a question. Of course they would! Unraveling his banner, he held it up proudly over his head, trying (and failing) to whistle loud enough for the team to hear.

Nicole wouldn't say that Quidditch was her favourite thing, but she knew half the school was probably going to be at the game and she couldn't imagine missing out. Decked out in green, she skirted her way through the stands, looking for a prime seating position. She perked up when she spotted Juno, waving at her roommate and hovering near the seat beside her. "Juno! Mind if I sit?" She said, trying not to let the nearby railing or how high up they were stress her out. "You excited for the game?"

@Juniper Steele

Emma had decked herself out in as many red and gold things as could possibly fit on her body. Her face had been painted too, just in case the rest wasn't enough of an indication which team she was supporting. Her sister was on the Gryffindor team, as was her friend Lysander. Sure, they were both alternates, but that didn't mean they wouldn't play. Maybe they would! She was dragging Iris along with her, still a little annoyed her sister had only agreed to red and gold hair ribbons and a little face paint on each cheek. Why not go all out? Emma looked around for anyone she could sit with, leading Iris along. "NICOLE!" She shouted when she spotted her friend, heading over to her and the other girl sitting there. "Gryffindor is going to win, for sure!" She said with a grin. "We're sitting here!" She then announced, taking the seat on Nicole's other side.

@Nicole Fisk @Juniper Steele

While Iris understood Quidditch was an important part of Hogwarts, she didn't quite understand all the excitement for it. Especially not how excited Emma seemed to be, considering Fleur would likely not even play. She let her sister talk her into some Gryffindor colors to support Fleur, but decided not to go as far as Emma did. She felt like it was a little unfair to Lars, they hadn't done this during the last match. Though she also doubted Lars would notice, he was so caught up with his boyfriend lately. "Hello Nicole, Juniper." Iris said with a nod to them both. "I'm curious what this game will be like, I hope it will be a little longer than the last one."

Juno figured that quidditch would be a busy affair for everyone and she wasn’t wrong. She hadn’t been stood at the front for long when Nicole took a seat beside her. She smiled at her roommate, glad for the company, “O’course not,” she said, realising a few more students were headed their way. “I guess so,” she wasn’t sure how much Nicole realised her distaste for her house ran and judging by the green kit, Juno knew better than to slander them so openly. “It’s gonna be fun,” the blonde agreed, just in time for Emma to drag poor Iris to their seats beside her. She still wasn’t sure what to make it the twins really, they seemed a bit like each other’s opposite. She let Emma go on excitable about Gryffindor, a little envious that she could be so pleased with her own house, before turning to the second van Houten. “Yous can say that again. All this hype and they’d best actually get into the air this time,” It was a bit of an exaggeration but she would have enjoyed a long game too.

Quidditch was awesome and Sully had been kinda bummed he'd not bothered to try out for the team now that he was actually old enough. Still, watching it was fun enough, and Sully grabbed a spot in the stands, cheering loudly each time a new Gryffindor team member walked onto the field, keeping an eye out for any of his friends he could corral into sitting with him.

Nicole smiled at Juno, already looking forward to the game more now that she wouldn't be sitting alone in the stands like a loser. She jumped a little when she heard someone shouting her name, turning and smiling again when Emma and Iris joined them as well. "Now it's going to be a party," She said excitedly. "And sorry to inform you, but Slytherin is going to win, clearly," She said, motioning between her and Juno. "Your face paint is so cute though, your's too Iris." Nicole added, wishing she would have thought to do something fun like that. Maybe next game they could get ready together in the student lounge or something.

Emma stuck out her tongue at Nicole. "No they're not." She insisted. "Fleur is on the Gryffindor team, so they are going to win!" She was secretly hoping Fleur would actually get to play, but sighed when she saw her sister sit on the bench when the game began. But her disappointment was soon forgotten as the game begun. Emma leaned forward on her seat to see it beter. She gasped as the Slytherin chaser got the quaffle, but cheered when she failed to score. "GO!" She yelled as the Gryffindor chaser took the quaffle.

Iris smiled at Juniper and nodded. She hadn't gotten the chance to properly talk to her yet, but she seemed nice. "I agree, it seems like a bit of a waste to come for a match that was over so quickly. I think my brother was relieved though, he's on the Ravenclaw team as alternate. I think he was nervous about possibly playing." She told her with a small smile."Thanks Nicole. I'm curious to see who will win." She looked over at the field as the match started, glad to be in the company of a few other girls as they watched the match. She wasn't as invested in who would win as Emma clearly was, but she was curious about a real Quidditch match.

Nicole groaned good naturedly when Gryffindor scored, giving Emma a playful nudge as she cheered extra loud next to her. Even if they were cheering for different teams, it was fun to sit with the other girls and just yell as the players swooped past, though Nicole still had to wince in sympathy when she spotted the Gryffindor seeker get nailed by two bludgers in a row. "You couldn't pay me to play Quidditch, ouch!" She said, rubbing her own arm in sympathy before cheering as a Slytherin chaser managed to score.
