The Stands!

Syrah noted the way Freddie stayed up there standing, instantly reminded of the boy's struggle with his pain and remembering how he'd not wanted to sit back at their house. She felt slightly guilty for asking him to sit in the first place but eventually smiled as Wendall threw in a good idea. "That's a great idea. Yeah you definitely should have a better view from there." The professor agreed with a smile. She wondered how the two knew each other but figured it wasn't her place to pry about it.

Leo watched the game with keen eyes and as he saw his older sister chase something down the first year leaned into the railing. "Is that the snitch?" She asked no one in particular, leaning closer and peering at the glint. Then it was gone and Lilith held a golden ball in her first. "YES! THAT'S MY SISTER!" Leo yelled as loud as he could, jumping up and down and looking at Felix and Eoghan. "Did you see that????" He asked them just to make sure.

Eoghan stood taller as Hufflepuff failed to score a goal, but it was Lilith that he was watching. "She's got it," the prefect didn't take his eyes off the brunette as Leo started to pronounce it to those around them. Eoghan needed Reeves to confirm it, but he was convinced that his girlfriend had just won for their house. It wasn't the fasted game on record but it certainly didn't last too long. The prefects eyes were fixed on Lili, feeling very proud of how much she'd been working on this task, only to pull it off in front of the school.

Felix was clapping hard as it looked as though Lilith had caught the snitch. If Ravenclaw won, they'd be on to competing for first place during the next semester. Felix searched for Susie in the crowd, hoping the Hufflepuff wasn't taking it too hard. He'd have to check on her after this game, not wanting her to take things too personally.

Luke groaned as Lilith caught the snitch, of course she did. Lilith was a good player so it wasn't a surprise, but Luke knew Susie had been excited to be Captain Susie, and now Hufflepuff weren't in the running to win the House Cup this year.

Professor Layton was cheering for all the players as the game was getting increasingly tense, but it wasn't long until one of the Seeker's raised their hand in the air, clutching the golden ball. "Did she get it?" Wendall asked Freddie, who no doubt had a better view of what was going on that he did.

Watching the game was nostalgic, it almost felt like her days back in Scotland and Syrah was finding herself quite invested in it. It wasn't really all that long when Lilith, who she knew from working at the Inner Eye, chased something down and then held up her hand with something clutched in it. Syrah glanced at Freddie when Wendall asked him a question, waiting for a confirmation from the third year.

Freddie realised he was pulling a face, and quickly re-dressed it as a smile. Part of him did want to keep score for Wendall and Rose's mom, but a bigger part wouldn't have been seen dead hanging out with his professors. They might start thinking he was nice, and then it'd be a big sad shock when he did something bad again. So he pretended not to have heard. It was only when Lilith caught the snitch - and everyone had stopped cheering - that he finally answered. "Yeah. We won." That was a good thing, obviously, but... Susie was gonna be real sad. So that was a bummer.
