Analei was excited and ready for their team to start practice as soon as possible. She wanted them to all be in tip top shape and ready for the season. They had a few new people on their team, so they were going to have to work hard if they wanted to win that season - and Analei definitely did. The Co-Captain got to the practice early, feeling nervous about running their first practice. She did a couple of star jumps to warm herself up, before going over her broom, making sure it looked perfect and was ready. Analei kept looking up to see if anyone - especially Arvel - had arrived.

OOCOut of Character:
Arrivals only please! Practice will start in a day or two.

Ilija couldn’t believe he actually had a place on the team, and was nervously getting himself ready for their first practise session. It was suddenly dawning on him how big of a role Keeper was, and it look a lot of his nerve not to bottle. No, his team needed him. He got to the pitch and put his focus on Analei, trying to ignore everyone else for the time being.

Somehow, Elliot was more nervous about this practice than he had been for any of their games or practices so far. He was thrilled to be the team's seeker, but all his anxieties about doing well at practice seemed small against his new fear of doing well during games. He'd somehow gotten it into his brain that if this practice didn't go well than the rest of the season was as good as sunk. Trying to shake the nerves, Elliot arrived at the pitch, hand sore from where he'd gripped his broom too tight on the walk down. He gave Analei a tight smile and focused on stretching a bit before they stretched if only to work out some energy.

The team had changed a lot since last year, and Abian was both happy and sad about it. He was a little sad Analei would no longer be a chaser along with him, but he was sure she would do great in her new role too. He arrived at practice and waved at Ilija and Elliot who were there too. He grinned at his new captains, proud of them both. "Hey!" He said excitedly.

Lauren had been so happy when she finally got chosen for the team. A tiny lightspot in her life right now and she wanted to make the best out of it. Also it would be nice to hit some things since she had a lot of anger and hurt inside and perhaps this was a way to get rid of it instead of crying mostly. The blonde entered the pitch and looked at the people at the field. She didn't saw Aonghas, but was though glad she knew someone in the team.

Aonghas arrived at the quidditch pitch, ready to get started. He went over to Lauren and gave her a little smile. He was pleased that she was now on the team. He knew that she had wanted that for a while. He gave her a little thumbs up. But was mostly focused on his own playing. He hadn't expected to become a full member of the team and was now a little nervous about it. He had pressure on his shoulders and knew he'd end up enjoying it so much. But he just waited for the captain to get them started.

Amy was super excited to have made it back onto the Quidditch team. She made her way down to practice, smiling at the new faces. She gave Elliot a thumbs up, as a congratulations for getting seeker. She was ready to make this year their year, and waited for practice to start.

Arvel would rather have been anywhere than Quidditch practice that morning. He emerged from his dormitory looking like he'd slept in a very uncomfortable tree - and feeling like it, too. Arriving at the pitch, he barely glanced at his co-captain. After the confrontation with Zennon, he was ashamed to look anybody in the eye. After a few minutes of arrivals he got fed up with standing around feeling like a lemon and addressed the team. "All right. Everyone... you know what you're doing. You-" he pointed at the new keeper, whose name he couldn't for the life of him remember- "guard the hoops. Elliot, try to catch the snitch. If you can't figure it out, then you might as well just leave." Without looking at his teammates, he opened the chest and released the balls.

OOCOut of Character:
Practice will last for two weeks! Good luck!

Elliot gripped his broom as Arvel got things started, feeling his stomach sink at the instructions. He hadn't expected the captains to have a lot of faith in him just yet, but Arvel's words hurt and Elliot tried to focus. Needing to clear his head, Elliot shot up, away from where the rest of the team would be for a bit and circled the pitch.

Amy thought that Arvel had been a little harsh to Elliot, but didn't have the guts to say anything. She picked off the ground and caught the Quaffle, feeling the familiar weight of it. She flew off, looking for someone to pass to. It wasn't long before someone was next to her, and she passed the Quaffle on to them.

Ilija was on edge and it didn’t help when Arvel was short with just him. He felt like he was being singled out and he knew he was new but he didn’t need to be bosses around so coldly. Elliot seemed to get it too, and Ilija wasn’t sure why Arvel didn’t think the team could play if he’d help to pick them. He took his position and watched as the quaffle moved around the pitch, bracing himself to act quickly.

Elliot always forgot just how much colder it could be in the air versus on the ground, flexing his fingers in the chill of the air as he circled the pitch. Practice had just started but Elliot was already feeling discouraged at the lack of any sign of the snitch. He'd been looking forward to getting a chance to really play as seeker for the team, but right now he just missed having April around.

Abian was glad that the practice seemed to be starting, but frowned at Arvel's words. He glanced at Elliot, hoping the kid wouldn't take it personally. He wasn't sure what Arvel was thinking, but tried not to focus on it too much. He flew over to Amy who had the quaffle, and he was surprised when she passed the quaffle onto him. He flew up the hoops, the quaffle tucked under his arm.

Analei was shocked at how Arvel spoke to the team. What a terrible way to start the year with them. She sent him a look - usually she was the grumpy one!! "And have fun!" Analei called out after the team as they all took to the air.

Arvel flew after his fellow chasers, hanging far enough back that there wasn't a huge chance of them passing to him. The less he had to interact with people today, the better. Especially Analei. He'd been careful not to look at her before he took to the air, but he'd seen her expression in his peripheral vision, and by that alone he could tell he'd seriously screwed up. Again.

Circling the pitch, Elliot's heart lept when he saw a flash of movement from the corner of his eye. Banking quickly, he shot across the pitch, heart in his throat, but even desperately scanning the pitch, whatever sign the snitch Elliot might had seen had vanished.

Analei kept her eye on the game, making notes of what she could discuss with Arvel on what each member could work on. She figured once they had a list, they could do specific warm ups to help each position, but she wasn't sure how keen Arvel was to help her with that. Maybe she'd have to ask Edmund for help.

Amy followed closely behind Abian after she passed the Quaffle to him, just in case he needed to pass. Not much had happened yet, but she hoped the chasers would be able to practicing scoring that practice.

Lauren jumped on her broom and shot into the air when they could start. The captain was being weird or something but Lauren didn't actually paid attention. She saw Aonghas though and smiled shortly. She went to search out for bludgers, and hoped to be actually hitting something. But for now it didn't seemed like positive or something close at all. So she moved on.

Ilija watched as Abian picked up the Quaffle. He was a bit nervous knowing how good Abian was, and hoped that the rest of the team weren’t too sad if Ilija managed to let in his goal.

Abian approached Ilija in front of the hoops, attempting to score in the middle hoop. He sighed when Ilija managed to save it, giving his roommate a rueful smile. "Ah, good job." He said, then flew off.

Elliot knew it was still early in practice, but he felt the pressure to catch the snitch more than he ever had. Every minute that passed without any more sign of it made Elliot's spirits drop more and more. Taking a breath, Elliot decided to revert to a more methodical search, if only to help him relax, moving over to the north hoops to slowly begin his search.

Lauren looked out for the bludgers and flew a bit more closer to Elliot since she could protect him than perhaps as well when some bludgers needed to be there. But so far it didn't was so succesfull. Lauren started doubting herself directly, could she even do this? She completly missed hitting a bludger when she spotted one. On to searching another one than.

It certainly was different, playing as beater now rather than chaser. Although she had done a lot of practicing in previous years, she definitely didn't feel like she was as good a beater as she used to be. A bludger flew towards her, and Analei aimed it towards the chasers, but it went wide. Frowning, Analei moved forward to find another bludger, and to keep bludgers away from the team.

Ilija was shocked when his body jumped into action, and he moved in time with an outstretched arm to grab the Quaffle when Abian tried to throw it. He grinned at his roommate, before throwing it back out into play.
