[Chase Campbell]

Chase tried his luck at another bludger and gave it a good whack but in doing so accidentally send it flying towards @Rene Tofilau.

[Zagreus Kohler]

He supposed he was doing okay, though he supposed the conditions could be better. He had to keep that in mind as he tried to keep an eye on the quaffle, wiping his hands on his robes to try and dry them off a little.

 

[Finley Holmes]

Seeing no one else go for the quaffle, Finley supposed he might as well grab it himself, tucking it under his arm as he headed to the hoops.

 

[Penelope Marshall]

Penelope was still feeling pain from the bludger from earlier but kept trying to find the snitch.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

Rene was impressed how well the team was playing despite the terrible weather, though he probably should have been paying more attention to the bludgers than the team as he barely got his bat up in time to try to deflect Chase' hit, grimacing in pain as the impact rocked up his arm. He did manage to hit it as well, shaking out his arm as the bludger shot towards @Leonardo Orr.

[Leonardo Orr]

Leonardo let out a little groan of pain as he was hit with a bludger. It was never fun to be hit by a bludger. But he just follow the young chaser as he went to the hoops.

 

[Finley Holmes]

Once more Finley tried to score, but he was a little off course with his throw and it was easily caught by the keeper.

 

[Zagreus Kohler]

Zagreus saw the younger chaser coming, managing to dart out and catch the quaffle before it passed. Scanning the sky, he took a moment before tossing it back out into play.

 

[Chase Campbell]

Chase took a second to brush a hand through his hair in an attempt to keep it from falling in his face as he looked for more bludgers.

 

[Renata Stepanova]

Renata was determined to do better, so she flew in again to take another shot in goal. Quietly, she wondered if Jordie was having a nap in the fog.

 

[Leonardo Orr]

Leonardo followed behind Renata as she caught the ball.

Chase noticed a bludger nearby and shot after it so he could at least swing his bat in its direction.

 

[Renata Stepanova]

Renata concentrated more, knowing she had to be careful with her throw in the weather. It paid off, she was able to throw the quaffle through the leftmost hoop.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

Seeing Chase going for one of the bludgers, Rene took off after him, deciding to give their new beater a little race to see who could get there first.

 

[Felix Carnahan]

Felix kept looking.

 

[Veronique Chatelain]

Veronique had almost forgotten she'd joined the quidditch team and was almost late for their first practice. As she found herself on the pitch, Rene was introducing them, and Veronique made a face as he tried to pronounce her name. "It's Veronique, like unique," she said quickly before he moved on. But then he called her V. "It's Veronique," she mumbled under her breath before taking to the air in the front of the hoops. At one point she was hit by a bludger, which was much nastier than she'd expected. And it wasn't even the real thing. The Hufflepuff tried to shake it off and keep alert.

The chasers were doing a good job, which just meant that Zag was going to have to try harder to stop them.

 

[Chase Campbell]

Chase noticed René going for the same bludger he was but pushing forward in an attempt to get to it first made him fly past the bludger with not enough time to properly swing his bat at it.

 

[Veronique Chatelain]

Veronique missed a few quaffles as she caught her bearings. Hopefully, she'd be able to block a few in the off chance she had to play in a game this year.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

Rene grinned when he spotted Chase had over shot, speeding up to hit the bludger before Chase could round back on it. He didn't focus hard enough on his aim in his rush though, accidentally sending the bludger into @Finley Holmes. "I feel like we maybe both learnt something here," he said sheepishly to Chase.

[Renata Stepanova]

When nobody else came forward and wouldn't for a while because of time zones, Renata re-took possession and flew around to take a shot on Veronique. There were so few girls in the team, Renata figured she should work with the ones who were and encourage them.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

Hoping to regain a little dignity after his last hit, Rene zeroed in on the other bludger, trying to compensate for the bad weather as he swung at it, pleased when it was right on target, hitting @Felix Carnahan.

[Veronique Chatelain]

Veronique kept in front of the hoops, seeing Renata coming towards her. She prepared, hoping that the girl wouldn't trick her and score.

 

[Renata Stepanova]

Unfortunately for Veronique, Renata did manage to score. She thought she should maybe try easier shots, but she didn't want to look like she didn't respect the younger girl. At least it was pretty close to being stopped. "Next time, for sure," she said, beaming at the keeper.

 

[Felix Carnahan]

Felix thought he saw a flash of metal out of the corner of his eye but before he could do anything about it a bludger came from behind him and hit him square in the back. It knocked the wind out of him and he had to take a minute to catch his breath.
