Hufflepuff Practice Y39/S2

Flying towards a bludger Connor gave a swing and hit the ball, but he watched it fly directly under Rene's broom, missing the boy entirely.

René had his eyes on one bludger and nearly missed the second when Connor sent it his way. He tucked his legs up with a yelp, laughing as the bludger sailed past harmlessly.

Linden watched the game play on enjoying the reprieve in the intensity of the chasers onslaught though he was starting to wonder what they were up to.

Resettling on his broom, René fidgeted with his bat, resuming trying to catch up to one of the bludgers again.

Rounding on one of the bludgers, René gave a solid swing, sending it spiraling towards the chasers, satisfied when it made contact with @Hunter Robinson.

Tilly was happy at least Rene was successful with the bludgers this practice. She slapped an incoming bludger away from the chasers and flew along sluggishly.

Feeling confident after his last hit, René squared up on the bludger Tilly had just hit. He'd been planning to knock it back towards her, but his aim had been off. Very off, he thought wincing as it spun into @Linden Cullen instead.

Linden was watching the game seemed to have slowed right down. No one was coming towards him to shoot. Actually he was wrong. There was something coming towards him. He attempted to dodge the bludger but wasn’t fast enough. At least it didn’t hit him squarely but glanced off him Instead. It still hurt. He looked for where it came from and nodded at Rene not sure if he meant I’m okay or good shot.

René moved back to circle the pitch, taking a moment to focus and try to work on his aim like Connor had suggested.

Jordie came back, having had a minute to cool his head. He grabbed the quaffle as it was thrown back into play, circling around again.

René had a good run up on one of the bludgers but he chickened out at the last second, aborting his swing and wobbling on his broom when he decided the shot wasn't going to line up how he wanted.

Jordie flew back around, letting out a relieved sigh when he managed to score. Okay, maybe h wasn't completely useless.

Readjusting his grip, René grinned when he saw Jordie making a goal. René was tired but he liked to think practice was going pretty okay.

Tilly flew around and hit nothing.

René took a confident swing at one of the bludgers, aiming for Tilly and scrunching up his face in disappointment as it sailed harmlessly past her.

René stretched, grimacing as his muscles ached in protest. He hoped he wasn't getting sloppy cause he was tired, it was good to get in a long practice before the finals.

René switched his bat to his left hand, taking a few practice swings and wondering if it would be useful to be able to hit with both hands. He quickly changed his mind when one of the bludgers shot past, his reaction clumsy and uncoordinated in his off hand.

Lucas was starting to get tired, he yawned and tried to keep looking around for the snitch.

Rattled after having the bludger swoop past him, René readied his bat, keeping a better look out for what the bludgers were up to.

Lucas turned around in the air and flew in the opposite direction, almost hoping he could catch this snitch off-guard this way.

Linden was losing focus. He stopped being so meticulous about the goals. Instead his gaze lingered on one player then another watching them play. He almost lost track of Jordie heading towards him. He went to save it at the last second but it was a pointless effort. well done Jordie he called throwing in back into play. His gaze going back to watching the players. Retuning to some ,namely one seeker, more often than others.

Tilly wondered if she was ever going to hit a bludger again.

Getting a read on a passing bludger, René gave it a solid hit, seeing the quaffle was back in play and knocking it towards the chasers to see if he could cause them some trouble. The bludger stayed on track this time, running into @Blair Silver

Tilly was happy that Rene managed to get in another shot, although she felt a moment of sympathy for Blair. She moved to focus mostly on defense as she wasn't having much luck hitting the other Hufflepuffs herself.

There was still no sight of the snitch, Lucas sighed. It seemed like the luck was running out.
