Hufflepuff Practice Y39 S1

René wasn't surprised to see Amy scoring a goal pretty effortlessly. It was hard not to watch the chasers and wonder if he made a mistake, but playing as beater, while tiring, was fun too.
 
After Amy scored Hunter grabbed the quaffle and tossed it back into play.
 
Getting back into the groove again, René shot after one of the bludgers, beaming as he managed to knock it straight into @Bobbi Bacuzzi

Lucas zoomed around the Quidditch pitch and looked around for the snitch. He frowned as he didn't spot it anywhere.
 
Feeling confident after his last hit, taking another big swing at a nearby bludger. He did manage to hit, but it felt weird, vibrating all the way up his arm and spiraling harmlessly past the other players.
 
Tilly aimed a bludger at Connor, except it veered off course and right into @Jordan Harris. It was pathetic that she couldn't even hit her intended target. She hoped Jordie was OK.

René saw Tilly knock a bludger towards Jordie, deciding to move to try to intercept. He vastly underestimated how fast he needed to fly to catch it though, arriving in time to watch it smack into Jordie with a wince.
 
Jordie yelped as he got hit by a bludger, but didn't let him stop him, wincing as he shot forward to grab the quaffle.
 
Seeing Jordie take another bludger, René wondered if he should try to work on his defense skills too.
 
René tried following closer to Lucas, feeling a little awkward and like he was in the way, but he tried to focus on looking for bludgers.
 
Lucas smiled at René, glad he was flying close. He looked around for the snitch.
 
Lucas' arm was still throbbing, but he tried the shot anyway. He groaned as it failed.
 
Feeling a bit more emboldened that Lucas didn't seem to mind him tailing him, René readied his bat, keeping an eye out for bludgers.
 
Connor was having real trouble focusing on the game with the new responsibility of keeping an eye on his teammates, though he was mostly impressed with Rene's performance. Shaking himself out of it he flew for another bludger and swung, hitting the ball hard where it sailed wide of hitting Linden, instead flying harmlessly through one of the goals.
 
René swiveled on his broom as Connor hit one of the bludgers. He didn't know if Connor had been trying to get it through the hoops, but it was impressive either way.
 
Tilly lobbed a bludger towards the chasers and hit no one.
 
René had lagged behind watching the other beaters so he put on a burst of speed, trying to keep up with Lucas. Seekers were definitely a lot faster at flying than he was used to.
 
René spotted a bludger headed their way, raising his bat to try to knock it aside. It wasn't in serious danger of hitting Lucas, but he still took a swing at it, awkwardly bopping it further down the field.
 
Jordie caught the quaffle as it was thrown back into play, determined to score.
 
Tilly really had lost her aim over the holidays. She punted her bludger at Hunter, but it smacked into @Rene Tofilau instead.

René readied his bat as the bludger came his way, hoping to knock it clear. He did manage to hit it, but mostly with forearm than his bat. It hurt all the way around to shoulders and René hugged his arm grimly as the bludger shot off into @Hunter Robinson

Hunter was following Jordie when a bludger smacked him for the second time. This time it hurt a lot more as he still had the bruise from the first but he kept playing, he couldn't quit.
 
Tilly tried not to cheer as she finally hit an intended target. She did feel a little bad for @Amy Jewel, who had to be hurting after two hits.

Jordies heart sank as the quaffle was caught again. He sighed. He really sucked at this.
 
Amy gritted her teeth as she got hit by another bludger. She was pleased the beaters were doing well.
