Hufflepuff Practice Y39 S1

Catching up to one of the bludgers, René took another swing. He wasn't able to make solid enough contact though and the bludger carried on, seemingly unbothered by his attempt to knock it around.

Blair was hoping to finally pay attention to what Amy said and passed the quaffle to Hunter.
@Hunter Robinson

Lucas looked around for the snitch and gasped when he spotted it nearby. He flew forward and grabbed it with a grin. "Got it!" He said, then held it up to Amy, ignoring Connor.

Tilly circled the pitch and sought out her next bludger.

Hunter grabbed the quaffle from Blair and headed towards the hoops but missed completely. Clearly he needed to train his aim.

René was chasing after a bludger, bat raised, but came to a sharp sudden stop when he saw Lucas had caught the snitch already. They hadn't been playing that long so it was pretty impressive. Awe subsiding though, René glanced around again, having completely lost track of his bludger.

Lucas was a bit saddened by the lukewarm reception to his snitch catch, most of the other players barely seemed to notice. He shrugged and let it go, before flying in the direction it disappeared in.

Finally catching up to the bludger he'd been tailing, René gave it a solid whack, watching with pleasant surprise as it sailed over into @Lucas Fletcher

Lucas yelped as the bludger hit him and he shot a glare at René, but then he kept on flying, rubbing his side.

Blair took the quaffle in her possesion after Hunter failed and started to move around hoping to see some of the other chasers around. She didn't exactly wanna try to score again, her luck seemed to be defined today. No scores at all.

Lucas kept looking around for the snitch. He didn't spot it yet.

René hadn't felt bad about hitting bludgers around until Lucas glared at him. He tended to think it was like tackling in rugby, just part of the game, but he still wanted his team mates to like him, bludgers or no.

Well, she finally just decided to actually go on and pass to Jordie. He seemed to have a better luck than she did.
@Jordan Harris

Jordie had been following Blair, and was surprised when the girl threw the ball to him. He smiled at her, and used the opportunity to try and score. He felt relieved as it soared through the hoops. He just needed to keep that up.

René saw the chasers making another run towards the goals and decided to try and help them out this time. He'd just gotten abreast of a pass bludger and was pleased when he was able to knock it straight into @Linden Cullen. Unfortunately, his timing was still off and Jordie had already made his shot by the time the bludger got there, but René was still counting it as a win.

The bludger hit still hurt a bit, but Lucas was trying to focus on finding the snitch.

Hunter cheered for Jordie as he scored, grabbing the quaffle and resuming the game. He started making his way to the hoops but before he scored he remembered Amy's words to train their passes so he passed to the nearest chaser in hopes they could score.

Lucas didn't spot the snitch anywhere, but he kept on looking.

Tilly was having no luck today. Some of her teammates seemed to be, though. Rene with the bludgers, Lucas with the snitch...

Blair wasn't sure why Hunter passed the quaffle to her but she caught it and headed to the hoops. Hoping to finally make it and... She loudly celebrated when the quaffle went through the hoops. She finally did it!

Lucas flew a loop around the south hoops before flying to the center of the pitch again.

René slowed down some as he heard Blair cheering, grinning to see she'd managed to make a shot. It probably didn't matter, but he liked to think his bludger hit at Linden might have helped just a little.

Tilly wondered if she should just sit out the next game. She slapped a bludger away from her teammates and tried not to get too frustrated with her lack of hits.

Hunter cheered for Blair when she scored, he grabbed the quaffle again and headed towards the hoops, he was actually hoping someone would try to steal the quaffle from him to make things more interesting.

Though he held his bat tightly Connor's focus wound up largely drifting to the other players, focusing on the team's dynamics and making sure everyone was playing their best. It wouldn't have been a problem had he been paying a little attention to the bludgers, but he didn't even realise Rene's shot was on course for him until it was too late. Letting out a sharp cry of pain, Connor took a moment to collect himself before calling back to the younger player, "GOOD SHOT!" Trying to keep himself together Connor threw himself back into his Beater role and flew after a bludger, sending it back into the boy who had just hit him.
