Gryffindor practice

Sander carried on, pleased that he'd avoided any bludgers himself so far. He felt a lot safer carrying a bat in his hand, unlike the other unprotected players.

Although Sierra was proud of herself for catching the snitch, the novelty was quickly wearing off as she slowly flew around the pitch, looking for any glint of gold.

Spur of the moment, Sully shot off to the right, hoping to come in from an angle flying out wide and zooming past the goals to chuck the quaffle as he went. Unfortunately, either the angle was real bad or Ren was on his toes, as he was able to easily field the shot and Sully groaned in frustration.

Willow continued to fly ignoring what everyone else was doing and trying to focus on the snitch. she saw it and flew towards it again but it had gone before she had moved more than 10 feet. it was then she had an idea. a move she had heard about. she pulled into a dive pretending that she had seen the snitch. her hope was to encourage @Sierra Woodlock to follow her. it would be practice for both of them both at how to pull of the Wronski feint and how not to be pulled into one. of course, she wouldn't actually let the young girl fly into the gound. but she was curious to see how it worked.

Jacob tried to hit a bludger and completely missed. Hoping nobody spotted that, he sped up and away.

Sierra saw @Willow Cullen go for a dive towards the ground, and she excitedly zoomed after her, wanting to get to the snitch before she did. She leaned forward on her broom as much as she could. She couldn't actually see the snitch but she was sure that was because she was going really fast on her broom.

Lysander spotted a bludger and went in for a swing, but completely overshot on his broom. Turning it around, he flew back in pursuit of it.

Willow pulled out of her feint with far more space between her and the ground than she would probably leave if it wasn't her teammate on the opposite team. She looked around to see where sierra was. She saw the girl had taken her bait and was diving. she would have to explain to her what she had done. She started gaining altitude. It was then that she did see the gold spark for real. she leant forward this time not diving but climbing like a firework. until she was closer to the ball that had been hiding high above them. "Yess" she said smiling once the gold ball hit the palm of her hand. she flowe around to where sierra was before she let the snitch go. "great flying. What i did there was called a Wronski feint. It is a way to try and distract an opposing seeker by diving and urging them to follow you before pulling out at the last minute. I hadn't actually seen the snitch until after the dive. that was just a coincidence" she said. hoping that it would make sense. "are you ready to go again? she asked. wondering if sierra had any questions before she took off.

After Sully was unable to score, Fleur grabbed the quaffle next and flew off to take a lap with it, seeing if there were chasers nearby to pass to.

Willow grabbed the snitch and Sully cheered. "That means we just won, right?" He called out before seeing Fleur take possession and hurried after her, gleefully looking for any moment to snag the quaffle. Practice wasn't over he figured, and even if tackling wasn't super common in Quidditch but he wanted to try it a bit more. Evening was more exciting on brooms.

once shew as sure Sierra didn't have anything to say and that the snitch had well and truly vanished agian Willow flew off. She made her way to the goal posts more to give space than anything else.
She looped around the posts before heading back up the pitch her yeas looking but not seeing a snitch.

Lysander caught up with the bludger he'd been chasing and gave it a proud smack with his bat, sending it rocketing into @Jacob Kingsley a second time. It felt wrong to strike the team captain, but there was a bigger part of him that wanted to prove that he was a good addition to the team by making sure he knew how many bludgers he'd hit. Besides, the older boy had his own bat to defend himself with! He just had to hope it didn't hurt too much.

Fleur was fast, but Sully had been waiting for her to grab the quaffle, ready on the defense. He was able to catch up to her near center pitch, knocking shoulders as they grappled for the quaffle. He was just able to wrest it away, giving a shout of victory and quickly turning back around before she could pursue him. @Fleur van Houten

Following Willow, Sierra was sure she couldn't see the snitch down here, but she wanted to be faster, and beat the other seeker to it! She was vaguely aware of Willow disappearing, and she vaguely heard her talking, but she assumed it was because Sierra was beating her! She still couldn't see the snitch, but by the time she realized she was going to fast, it was too late. Sierra tried to pull her broom up, but the broom, and Sierra herself, pummeled into the ground instead, and her world went black.

Jacob wasn't searching for bludgers at the moment but perhaps if he had, he'd have been paying more attention as a second bludger pummelled into him, this one into his knee. Jacob did more than help this time and that stream of curses continued as he watched one of the Seekers hit the ground. Jacob jumped off his broom and fell on his knee as it buckled under his weight for a second. He was back up instantly, running on adrenaline as he raced towards Sierra. "Practice is over!" he yelled out. "Someone grab a nurse!" he added, not wanting to leave the girl's side or move her. He wasn't a nurse.

Sully had been primed and ready to finally heroically score a point when he heard the commotion behind him. He groaned, tucking the quaffle under his arm in a sulk when Jacob called the practice over, spinning around to complain until he saw Jacob and the other seeker, Sierra, on the ground. Sully clamped his already open mouth shut instead, unsure if he should land, or help, or stay out of the way. He glanced over to some of the older students, hoping to take a cue from them for once instead.

Fleur hadn't been been paying much attention to the seekers, but realized they had both caught the snitch. She looked over at Willow, and when she was distracted Sully managed to steal the quaffle. Fleur cursed and headed after him, but suddenly practice was over. Fleur realized a beat later what had happened, and gasped in horror at the sight of Sierra on the ground. Fleur sped to the ground. "I'll go get a nurse!" She called over her shoulder, rushing back up to the castle.

Willow hadnt noticed what had happened to sierra until it was too late. She kicked herself and dived for the gound again this time stopping and hoppingoff her brook. "Oh my god. I'm sorry" she said. feeling stupid. the girl was only young. she had wanted to try out a new move. she had feinted but she had thought she had been going slow enough and pulled out early enough for sierra to get the idea of what she was doing and at least managed to level out before she had hit the ground. she felt her heart stop she wished it hadnt worked, that sierra hadn't followed her. "Sierra. Oh F(#*$. i'm sorry she said standing helpless next to them. "what do you want me to do jacob? she asked. she wanted to help. but with fleur already going for a nurse what else could she do. get her aunt? maybe she knew what to do. she tried to think of the survival skills her mum had taught her. the lessons that she had hated but nothing useful came to mind. would casting red sparks into the air catch someone in the castles attention quicker than fleur could get there? she could feel herself start to shake. she had done this. if anything happened to sierra it would be her fault.

Lysander had been so caught up in feeling proud of himself that he almost totally missed the captain ending the practice. It wasn't until he realised a commotion was happening on the ground, and people were starting to gather that he finally flew down to get a good look at what was going on. His eyes widened and he gasped. "Is she dead?" He asked. He hadn't seen what had happened, but judging by how everyone was acting, he was sure he could guess.

Noel was ready to follow the quaffle when he saw the two seekers fighting for the snitch. He was a bit distracted and figured it was a practice and he had been able to score ones and try a few times so looked them. Willow got it and he smiled as she did since she was part of their team and he cheered and smiled to Sully. But than Noel saw Sierra making a terrible fall to the ground. Noel raced towards her since he could not stand to see this and do nothing. He came there and saw Jacob and he already gave the shot to stop so Noel was glad someone could get help Fleur would she told them. '' Sierra?! Do you hear me?'' The boy than said and looked at Jacob for a moment a bit scared. Than he looked to Lysander who asked if she was dead. '' I'm sure she will be fine. A nurse will come.'' Noel than said comforting to the boy but he felt for Sierra and she didn't seem to react that quickly. This reminded him of his aunt, the mother of Gabriel and Sofia who died at a game a high fall of her broom. Noel tried to see if he could do something, but stay with Sierra and Jacob seemed the best. But he wished he could do more, but he didn't knew what to do. That felt terrible, he wanted to help people.

Josephine had been startled when the Gryffindor prefect had burst into the hospital wing, telling her there had been an accident during the Quidditch practice. She had quickly grabbed her bag with emergency supplies, then headed to the Quidditch pitch with the prefect in tow. It was immediately obvious where the girl had landed, as the rest of the team was crowded around her. Josephine called to them as she approached. "Make some room." She said, gesturing for the team to take a step back. Josephine knelt next to the girl, examining her carefully. "What happened?" She asked, looking at the boy she knew to be the captain while taking the girl's pulse. She could tell the girl was still knocked out, but got the feeling she could help her better at the Hospital wing. Josephine conjured a stretcher. "You can come along to the hospital wing." She told Jacob. "The rest of you should return to the common room. She's going to be fine."

Jacob had hoped everyone would clear away when he declared practice over, but he should have known better. They were Gryffindors, after all. And loyalty combined with wanting a good story to tell back in the common room was enough to stick around. "Get everyone back to the common room" he told Willow just as the nurse entered the pitch. Jacob breathed a sigh of relief. He was way out of his element. But he knew she wasn't dead so he quickly answered Lysander. "No, no, no. Not at all" he rushed to reassure the young boy.

"We we're practicing, and she was practicing a new move. She didn't pull up quick enough and she...crashed" Jacob's voice got quieter and quieter as he spoke. He didn't want to alarm anyone who hadn't witnessed it with their own eyes. "Ok" Jacob nodded, ready to do whatever the woman asked him to.

"Nah, she's still breathing. I think," Sully said, touching down near Noel and Lysander and craning his neck to get a better look at Sierra. He felt bad that she was hurt, but it was hard to imagine anything having serious consequences here, when you could just wave a wand and make things better. Still, Sully couldn't help his curiosity as the school nurse arrived, conjuring a stretcher to take Sierra away. Begrudgingly, Sully began slowly moving back to the common room when they were being herded away. They'd probably all see Sierra back there in a few and she'd have a mean story to tell for it all.
