Jacob was happy with how the team turned out. He was a bit sad about some of the people who hadn't come back this year, Jemma and Gwen especially. He'd spent some time wondering about Gwen, wondering if she hadn't liked playing alongside him or didn't think he'd make a good leader alone. He'd liked her well enough, but Jacob knew he was a very divisive person; you either liked him or you didn't. He knew it was rare for people to be ambivalent in their feelings about him. Jacob knew why Jemma hadn't tried out, but it still made him sad to not play beside her. But he had a team to lead and couldn't dwell on any of it too long.

Already on the pitch, Jacob was going through his warm ups. He was already in his gear, his broom at his feet. The teen kept glancing towards the locker room doors, hoping everyone would be on time so they could get started and make the most of their time. Scheduling the pitch around the other team's schedules was no easy feat and no team would give another even an extra second to prepare for the season.

OOCOut of Character:
Entrances only please. I'll post again tomorrow around this time to split the team up

Willow made her way to the quidditch pitch. she was excited that this year Fleir had made it onto the main team and she was glad to be spending her second year as the seeker for the team. any practice she could have would be important. especially when there were beaters and other players to navigate around. "Hey Jacob, How's it going?" she said as she reached the pitch. "you picked a good day to train. just make sure you dont go easy with the bludgers. the beaters on the other teams always seem to have their mind set on beating us up, and practice is good" she said.

For Lysander's first practice as a real beater, he was nothing short of excited. He had a good feeling about it, and high hopes that he could make a decent replacement for Gwen. It was still disappointing that Emma hadn't managed to make the team at all. It would have been nice to have a friend around his age to play alongside with, though he'd seen Elizabeth's name on the list which was cool. He'd only really interacted with her before Hogwarts, and she'd seemed okay then.

Stepping out of the locker room in his gear, Lysander trotted over to the captain and Willow with a grin. "Hi guys!" He said, idly swinging his beaters bat while they waited. He nodded along to Willow discussing the opposing beaters, and pretended to flex his practically non-existent muscles. "Don't worry, 'cause you've got me now and I'm super strong. The other beaters are gonna be too scared to bother us."

Fleur was surprised by how different it felt to be here as a real member of the team. She felt more motivated than before to actually do well and win, which wasn't usual for her. Fleur was a little sad she wouldn't work together with Jemma, both chasers she would work together with were younger students she didn't really know that well. Fleur hoped she could help them both out a bit, as she had presumably more experience than they did in the role. Fleur waved at Jacob. "Hey Cap!" She said brightly. She grinned at Lysander Summers as he flexed his muscles. "That's the spirit." She said with an approving nod. She knew he was a good friend of Emma's, and she liked the boy a lot. She was happy for him with his new position on the team, and she knew Emma would get over her own annoyance at being left out. Fleur knew Jacob was fair, and Emma simply hadn't made the cut this year.

Sierra was excited to be a part of the team again. She was hopeful that this year she'd be able to play an actual match, but she didn't mind too much if she couldn't. Willow was really good, so she totally understood. Still, she was happy to be at training, and was looking forward to the thrill of catching the snitch - even if it wasn't a real game. The Gryffindor girl arrived at the pitch, and greeted everyone around her, laughing at Lysander's comment about the other teams being scared. They better be!

Sully had been pretty pleased to land a spot on the team, even as an alternate. The matches were fun to watch from the stands, and Sully bet even better from on the pitch, though now that he had the window the urge to play was rising from the casual interest he'd felt previously. He figured if he really put the effort in, he could probably be a pretty sweet chaser and happily made his way down to the pitch.
Meeting up with the rest of the team, Sully grinned at the energy of the rest of the team, rotating his arms to stretch them out a bit and bouncing on his toes, ready to get started. "We're gonna be awesome," He said confidently.

Christian had been surprised he made the team as a regular the first time he tried out but he wasn't one to complain about it. He couldn't wait for the season to start so had eagerly awaited the beginning of training. He made his way down to the pitch and changed into practice robes. He would be using a school broom for the first semester, he'd need to get a new one over Christmas. Once ready he made his way out onto the pitch to await the start of practice.

Noel had been so happy when he saw the list of the new team for Gryffindor. He had made it! The brown haired boy was glad that he could fill the spot up for his cousin who left last year. But now that he was actually part of the team he understood why Gabriel was so competitive sometimes, ofcourse Noel wanted to win as well. And especially from Liam now. He was glad that Liam found so much joy in being in the centre of attention being co-captain of Slytherin's team, but Noel already had to grin about the face Liam would make if Gryffindor would beat them. That would be funny. The gryffindor joined the others on the pitch and smiled to his captain Jacob. He than noticed a younger boy than him who seemed really excited. And also Sully was a part of the team so Noel was glad. '' Good Gryffindor spirit it seems. I'm ready as well!'' He than said happy. And waited for the rest of the instructions, but he could not wait to get into the air.

"Never" Jacob grinned at Willow. Of course, he didn't want any of his teammates hurt before a game even happened, but he didn't believe in going easy. He felt it was a disservice to his teammates to do so. Jacob chuckled as his fellow beater joined and spoke about his strength. He saw a lot of himself in the kid and couldn't wait to see what he'd do as a starter even if he missed Gwen.

"We are gonna be awesome!" Jacob stated enthusiastically as he listened while he returned from gathering some school brooms for anyone who might need. "But we have to practice so we can be ready. We know the other teams will be. We've come in second two years in a row. This year, we win the cup" Jacob declared. "Team Scarlet - Sierra, Ren, Elizabeth, is Beth ok? Liz? Fleur, and me. Team Gold - Lysander, Willow, Solomon, Noel, Christian." Jacob picked up his broom. "Ok, let's get going. Anyone who holds back has to... um clean up after, no magic."

OOCOut of Character:
Practice will be open for two weeks. Let's have fun!

Noel was ready to go and when the teams were clear he looked at the boys and Willow around him. Go team gold! Noel mounted his broom and flew into the air. When the practice began he managed to take posession of the quaffle and smiled kind of suprised he got it first. He looked at his target and flew towards the Team Scarlet hoops.

Lysander nodded enthusiastically along to Jacob's declaration. Mrs Wigham had read his fortune over the holidays, and told him winning wasn't everything, but he had to hope her tarot deck hadn't meant the house cup. He mounted his broom and took to the sky, pleased to be a part of Team Gold, and set off scouring the sky for a bludger. It didn't take him long to track one down, and surprisingly he managed to give the ball a solid hit, but rather than rocket in the direction he'd intended to, it spiralled off course towards a nearby player.

Willow chuckled as the younger beater joined them and commented on his strength. while he was small he had done well in the last game. "Summers and Kingsley, a force to scare of the other teams" she said. as they bantered the rest of the team arrived. She listened as Jacob organised them into two teams. "Go team gold" she said taking her wand out and changing her top to a gold colour "Anyone else want to go gold" she said knowingthat some of the younger players may not have learned that charm yet.
once they were ready she mounted her broom and took to the skys. searching for the snitch but unsurprisingly she couldn't see it straight away.

Jacob didn't waste any time getting into the sky and finding a bludger. He swung hard but the bludger didn't soar towards anyone in particular.

Noel put the quaffle good under his arm and made sure it would stay there. He came closer to the three hoops and figured he should take a shot to score. Since he was fast and he didn't noticed much chasers yet and none bludger around him. Noel threw the quaffle in the left hoop and was glad to see it went through! His first attempt was a goal. Noel cheered and smiled at his teammates from gold. And flew a bit back.

Willow watched as the chaser from her team reached the hoops distracted from her snitch search to watch him shoot. wooo. well done Noel she called to the chaser. He was new to the team but as he shaired a name with her boyfriend it wasn’t one that she would forget. She then turned her attention back to her own role and continued to look for the snitch.

Fleur liked how the practices usually went, with two teams competing against each other, and was glad that was happening again. She was happy to be part of team Scarlet along with Jacob, with Elizabeth as her fellow chaser. She took to the air and tried to grab the quaffle, but Noel beat her to it. She was frustrated when the quaffle went through, but knew she couldn't blame the keeper much. They all had to practice, and a lot of the members were entirely new. Fleur grabbed the quaffle once it was thrown back into play, tucking it under her arm and flying in the other direction as quickly as she could.

Sully was eager to get going, happy when Jacob put him on the same practice team as Noël. Kicking into the air, he follow Noël as he took the quaffle, falling a bit behind when he had to duck and regain his balance after a bludger whizzed past. Laughing, Sully looked up in time to catch Noël scoring. "Nice shot!" He called out, turning in a tight loop when the older chaser, Fleur? Took the quaffle so he could follow her. He wasn't too confident about tackling or anything on a broom yet, but he wanted to stay close in case he could steal the quaffle some how.

Lysander cheered as Noel put Team Gold ahead. He turned his broom away from the action after he saw Fleur take possession, and decided to try and keep up with Willow while she hunted for the snitch, to try and deflect any bludgers that came her way for the time being.

Sierra cheered as she got put in team Scarlett, though she did wish they had time for a meet and greet because she didn't know some of the other players. Still, she was sure there would be time for that after. Sierra took to the sky and began using as much focus as she had available to her to look for the snitch.

Once practice got underway Christian mounted his broom and made his way over to the hoops he would be guarding.

Sander kept his eyes out for any nearby bludgers, though none seemed to be magnetting their way around Willow. He drifted further away to give her some distance, and more room to hunt the iron balls of mega pain down with.

Jacob felt a pit in his stomach when a goal was scored but then realized it was just practice and his own team. He chuckled at himself before calling out to Noel. "Good job! Keep it up" he grinned in the boy's general direction but was soon distracted by a bludger. Jacob gave it a good whack, watching as it flew right into Willow. Lysander had moved slightly away from her. He hadn't held back, just like she'd asked and he quickly turned to look for another.

Fleur flew up to the hoops Christian was guarding and attempted to score. She threw the ball at the left hoop, but the boy blocked her. Fleur sighed, but then smiled at him. "Not bad." She told him, before turning around and flying off.

Sully tried to follow Fleur closely, but she was a fast flyer and he clenched his teeth when she was able to line up enough to score. Gold team keeper was crushing it though and was able to field Fleur's shot. Cheering, Sully flew past, catching the quaffle as it was tossed back in, ready to make his way back up the pitch. "Woo, go gold team!"

Willow watched the chasers carrying the quaffle reached the scoring area. "Come on fleiur" she called to fleur. it wasnt her team but this was practice. as the shot was saved she smiled pumping her fist in the air. "Nice save Christian" she said. then she turned and kept looking for the snitch. she didn't need to get distracted watching everyone else. this was her time to practice session too. She started to fly towards a glint of gold she could see however before she was close enough to even see if it was the snitch or not she felt a thwack on her back as a bludger hit her. she gasped as she was winded but kept flying forwards however before she had gone ten meters the gold was gone. she looked back and saw jacob in the general direction of where the shot had come from. " Great shot, ouch" she called grinning wide.
