First trick

Sam watched as the balloon fight began and he couldn't stop laughing. He stood back and watched then decided to get some action but they seemed to be stopping. His somach was sore from laughing but he still manged togasp, "King or anybody won't be up here, as far as I can see they don't patrol corridors much.." he grabbed two and chucked them at Libby, he then turned to Knight and Hoshi, "Guys I'm in."
 
Professor King slipped out of Gryffindor tower quietly, having just gone up to update a bulletin board and check on things there he had decided it best to retire to his office and begin marking some papers.
Upon entering the corridor he noticed great amounts of paint all across the room and several students standing about. He glanced around for a moment before he cleared his throat and reached in his pocket for his wand. He had learned he could never be too safe in this castle. He then simply waited for their reactions.
 
"Oh,....." Said Libby, just about to attack Sam. She saw Professor Nick standing there, his wand raised. "This is it" She thought to herself. She looked across to the others to see if they'd noticed.
 
Tala turned around and fell over. "HOLY sh1t!!!" he exclaimed when he saw his head of house standing there. I'm going to either die or get expelled...I just know it. He said as his wide eyes were trained on Professor King.

Libby slowly put down the balloon she was carrying, put her hands behind her back and humming innocently.
 
Hoshi's eyes went wide then gestured over to the classroom where she had stuffed Sam in the first time they needed to hide. "In there but the door had to be opened the other way..." She said with a weak laugh. She put her hands behind her back and put opened her eyes wide looking as innocent as possible. "I can explain?" She offered again in her most innocent voice.
 
Scorpius had a green balloon in his hand and as soon as he turned to where others were looking, saw Professor King. He let the balloon fall from his hand, creating a great big, green splatter on the ground. Busted. He looked at the others and gave them a nervous "Well this was nice" smile.
 
Sam looked from Professor King to Knight. What kind of luck is that! he thought bitterly to himself. He gulped he waited as other spoke around him.
 
Libby snorted because of Scorpius, and looked down at the floor, her hair hiding her face, still humming. When she could keep a straight fce again, she looked back up.
 
"Ms. Koshiba, is it?" Professor King enquired as he observed the reactions of his pupils. "Please do explain, I'm sure it will be more than entertaining to hear." He stated with a chuckle as he released his grip on his wand and withdrew his hand from his cloak pocket.
While he stood he surveyed the corridor once more, "I must admit you've done a fine job with this place." He shook his head slightly as he said this. 'Only first years' he thought, thinking also of the many other things first years had done in the past.
 
Hoshi turned to the others and gave them a look that said 'run now!'. Hoshi turned back to the professor with the brightest smile she could waiting for him to respond. They where going down, she knew it but if she could work her charm and her reasoning skills they would maybe get out of detention by next fall. "Yes Professor King-sensei, you see where where thinking of ways to make art out the walls and things got a little out of hand." She said with the most charming smile she could "If yout think about it really is a unique way of blending all the school colors." She added her eyes wide and innocent again.
 
Libby tried hard not to laugh, for Hoshi's sake. This was one of the best nights here so far! Had onyl been here a week, already told off..record! wooo! She thought.
 
Sam smirked as Professor King didn't seem too mad. "Well, thank you sir. We do try our hardest." he said innocently. "But we do apoligise for the mess." He added, just in case he wasn't going to take the joke. But he didn't regret any of it.
 
Libby thought of running, but knew it would only get her into more trouble, so she stayed

Tala being on the ground just stayed there. he wasn't going to run away. Oh how foolish is he. He grinned sheepishly at Professor King As he picked himself off the floor. "Sorry Professor"
 
Scorpius saw Libby run but stayed rooted firmly where he stood. He, Prince, and Hoshi were partners in crime and if Hoshi was going down, so was he. He remained silent however as he waited for either Hoshi or Professor King to speak again but couldn't help but laugh at Prince's reply. Why was it so hard to keep a straight face now when he could do it easily before. "In our defense, we had originally thrown them out the window," Scorpius said, knowing that wouldn't be much better than throwing them in the castle.
 
Nicolas smirked slightly when a student tried to run away down the corridor. He drew his wand quickly from his side and uttered, 'Petrificus Totalus', confident that it would hit her. He would do likewise for anybody else who attempted to get away. "Anybody who runs is punished more." he warned in a stern voice as he glanced toward who seemed to be leading the bunch once more and paused.
 
Sam nodded to Knight, he wasn't going to leave Hoshi. He was loyal and wasn't chickening out of it. When Libby got stunned Sam wished he hadn't made that smart comment, they were in for it. None the less he stood paint-stained and hands by his side.
 
"Well I'm glad I didn't run" He said sheepishly under his breath. Oh but he is still in soooo much trouble. Though he wonders what the punishment will be?
 
Hoshi wanted to palm her face. Wrong direction you dip! She thought though her smile stayed as sweet as suger. Furtunetly the bucket that had been full of paint balloons was empty now. "Thanks Knight." She said quitely. He just blew her story and there was no way to save it. Not that she could think of on the spot anyway.
 
Sam seemed to notice no one said anything. "Sir, we are sorry about all of this." he said sincerely. "How much trouble are we in?" he asked, unlike usual his voice wasn't quavering he wasn't shaking. Yes he could be expelled, but he pushed that out of his mind. "If you don't mind me asking?"
 
"Yes, thank you Mr. Knight." Nicolas began with a slight nod toward the young Ravenclaw boy. "Ms. Koshiba, you likely should try the truth when speaking to professors. We figure it out one way or another in the end, so it's easier on you to keep things entirely truthful." Nicolas paused after this statement and looked across the faces present, "There really is every house involved in this one, isn't there? I'm sure your head of houses will be oh-so pleased to discuss this incident with you all." Nicolas finished with a chuckle, "Of course, you'll just be going to them in case they want to punish you more than I will be." He added with a wink to a student at random.
 
Tala blinked...slightly glad that Professor King was his head of house. He grinned at him slightly. "We really are sorry, It just got a bit out of hand...Sir" He turned around and half grinned at the others.
 
"Oh right" Said Libby quietly. She said, not wanting to say anything incase it led to more trouble.
