Abian had planned to hold the meeting in the Brotherhood club room as usual, but when he had looked outside his window this morning and seen snow on the lawn, everything had been changed. He had quickly made a plan for the meeting that would be entirely different than the usual start of term meeting, but what better way to bond with other boys than with a snowball fight? Abian had scrambled to put together teams, and had placed a note on the clubroom door to let members know the meeting would be outside today, and to wear warm clothes. He was waiting on the spot he had indicated in his note, a scarf wrapped tightly around his neck as he worked on making two piles of snowballs while he waited for the boys to arrive.

When they did, Abian grinned at them and waved. "Hi! Unusual meeting, I know!" He said brightly. "Let's wait for everyone, then I'll explain." When it seemed like the whole club had joined, Abian waved to get their attention again. "Hey guys! So uh, change of plans. I was going to do the usual start of term meeting, but the weather had different plans." He explained. "I figured a good way to start this semester was with a good old fashioned snowball fight, with hot chocolate in the clubroom after." He grinned, hoping the others would like this idea. "I have put a few blankets on the snow over there, where you can sit if you want to take a break from the fight, or if you just aren't in the mood. So uh, that's a no-throwing zone everyone." He had realized maybe not everyone would like this event, so he wanted to give them a way out if they needed it. "We'll be forming two teams, Ravenclaws and Slytherins in one, Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs in another." The numbers had been very close, only a two person difference. "Are there any questions?" He asked, looking from one boy to the next.

Mordred Cavanaugh was bundled up as much as possible. He found his Herbology robes and gloves were the warmest of everything he had. The fourth year dragged himself to the Great Lawn with his feet practically sinking in the snow. This was not much of an issue as he had been having growing pains like no other. His legs constantly felt sore and shoulders were constantly giving him issues, but his father told him it was all natural and that he hoped Mordred would at least be six feet and five inches, which Mordred knew was not going to happen. He'd probably be six feet at most.

When he arrived, he saw Abian and gave a small wave to the older Hufflepuff. Mordred had not been very active lately and it made his heart sink quite a bit. He already did not have that many friends, and the Brotherhood was a prime opportunity for him to make friends and connections with people from other houses. When Abian finished explaining, Mordred bent down and made a snowball of his own, ready to attack the president as soon as the the fight was greenlighted to begin.

Simon wasn’t sure how much he approved of a snow ball fight, but he wasn’t the leader of the brotherhood and he wasn’t going to not attend, but he took the time before heading outside to cast impervious over all of his clothes, and most importantly upon the hat on his head. He wasn’t going to end up with a wet and cold scalp. No way in hell. He walked through the snow, spotting the rest of the boys and smiling a little, the part-veela could concede that it might be quite fun, childish fun, but fun. The ravenclaw greeted the head of the club and smiled to himself. He watched as others appeared and then finally the leader of the club told them what the set up was going to be. He rolled his eyes at the house splits, thinking that it was a rather pointless thing. After all, he could see that there were more in the other houses. He raised his hand at the end, ”Not really a question, but I’ll happily cast impervious on people clothes to stop them getting wet if they want,” he told the little group, he was a head boy and he had to help the students who would need it, especially if they couldn’t cast the spell themselves.

Derek didn’t often go to the brotherhood meetings, it was mostly just hard to find the time in his schedule for it. But this was so early in the tern that of course he had the time for it. Of course he could go alone and have fun. He thought snowball fights, though not something he’d done in years, given the weather was a perfect thing to do. The teen arrived at where the leader of the club had said he would be. Derek arrived at the same time as most others. He looked towards the leader and waited. He wasn’t too disappointed with the split of houses. He knew that with the brains of ravenclaw and the slytherin’s they’d win against the the other houses. He was more than certain of him, and not just because he now just really wanted to win. He nodded at the words of the head boy too, but he didn’t bother with going to him, Derek, just took the time to now cast the spell upon himself.

Aonghas didn’t think people still had snow ball fights, but he was proven wrong. It had been a fun past time on the occasions when it had snowed where he was in scotland, but they hadn’t done it in years, somewhere between him going to school and his brother being kicked out of the home had somewhat put a damper on everyone wanting to put on warm clothes and fight with snow balls when it snowed. He was welcoming it. It would be a whole lot of fun he was sure. It would certainly be a little different. So when he got to where it was being held and the leader of the club said as much about it being unusual. He had to agree with that. Aonghas just listened along and thought that the leader was a little genius, this was a good thing to do, and he was actually looking forward the slight competition with the other houses. It was going to be so much fun.

Daintree had been keen to start trying to get positions within clubs, he knew he was a bit young but it would be good for him to be active and known to the club leaders so that he might be able to gain positions when he was old enough to. After all, if he was to stick around in the school he would need to do more to ensure that he finished the school on top. So, when the note about the meeting came through Dain had gotten appropriately dressed and headed to where he needed to be. He was going to manage just fine. He would be able to to work harder and help win. He arrived at the area, pulling the hat more securely onto his head. He greeted the leader of the club by going over to the older boy, ”This is going to be great fun, Abian,” he told the boy, making sure to add a little smile at the end, forcing it on to his features and holding the other boys gaze for no longer than he should. He stepped back and listened to the boy speak, nodding along, but they’d be in teams to do with houses, but that wouldn’t be a bad thing. He’d be just fine, his team would win.

Ajaccio had been in several snowball fights, he’d spent time in colder places, he’d spent time in places where the snow was the height of him. He’d just been to places where a snowball fight was almost boring, but it wasn’t to Ajax, he loved snow ball fights. He was so eager to be able to have one with the other boys of the brotherhood. He’d put on his thickest hat, forcing the curls into the hat. He didn’t want his hair to get wet, that would just make things unpleasant for him. He put on a big thick scarf and a good jacket but left his hands free, he’d always found that he did his best snowballing when his hands were free. He walked out of the dorm all ready and had an easy skip in his step as he reached the area. He didn’t have proper snow shoes on, instead the shoes were his usual trainers, though he was wearing visibly thick socks. He arrived where all the other boys were and greeted most of them with an eager expression. He listened to the leader’s words and wondered why they needed to split it, but perhaps a free for all wouldn’t be a good idea. But, he hoped there would be no further questions, he just wanted to get started.

"Yesss" Jacob declared enthusiastically at seeing the note on the door. He'd seen the snow out the window and was disappointed at the idea of missing it for the meeting. But now he wouldn't have to. Jogging back to his common room, Jacob quickly donned a scarf, a hat, and grabbed some gloves before heading outside. He pulled them on as he stepped outside and found the meeting spot. The idea Abian had was even better than he imagined. Jacob was grinning, eager to get to it. "Great idea, buddy. Team Gryffinpuff is gonna do this" he clapped his gloved hands together. The noise wasn't quite as satisfying as with bare hands. Jacob stepped closer to the team, poised and waiting for the word to begin. This was a competition, a fun one, of course, but a competition and he couldn't lose.

Sully didn't get to see snow super often, his parents didn't have a lot of time to take them up to the snow. He'd already made a not so quick detour outside when the first flurries had started up, reveling in the chill before making his way over to the brotherhood club room, only to have to tramp all the way back downstairs. Not that Sully was complaining, it was bitingly cold outside and even standing on the lawn as Abian explained what they were doing, Sully had to jump up and down to keep himself warm. "Oh, do me!" He said when Simon offered to do some magic to keep them drying, partly to stay warm, but mostly just because having someone do spells on you was still a huge novelty to him. The spell helped with the bite from the chill as Sully helped Abian prep some snowballs, not thinking to bring his own gloves and having to pause to flex and warm up his fingers after a few minutes. "Hope you're prepared for us to wipe the floor with you, Daintree.," He said to his friend, miming chucking one of his newly formed snowballs at @Daintree Vaskevold

Issac hadn't really experience snow, since where he lived never had snow. So Issac was excited that the meeting would be outside. He made his way outside after he saw the note that was put up on the clubroom door and noticed how there were some students of the group already there. He stood near the group, while they had waited for the rest of the group.

Teddy had never been in a proper snowball fight before, as he didn't think the one-sided battles where his older cousins charmed snowballs to chase him and his sister around the manor counted. He was a little apprehensive that the Brotherhood would be a repeat of that scenario, especially as he went down to the lawn and saw all the older boys waiting around. He looked longingly at the blankets and wondered if he'd get made fun of for building a snowman and just watching the fight, but didn't want to stand out and waited to see if someone else went over there first.

As soon as Marco saw the note on the door on his way to the brotherhood club room for the first meeting of the year, he had to go. There wasn’t a doubt that he would have tons of fun with his brotherhood friends and really wanted to relax and have a snowball fight. He grinned, and he began to get excited on his way to the lawn, hoping Elio would be there too. The boy nodded once towards Abian when he arrived, grateful to his roommate for having thought of this wonderful idea. And hot chocolate after, what could be better? The fifth year couldn’t help but look for his Gryffindor...friend, or whatever they were now. When he didn’t see him, nor Ilija, he sighed, and decided he would wait for them if they showed up. He shrugged and went over to the blanket section, watching the others snowball-fight, albeit a little impatiently as he waited for his friends.

Henry was here and he listened other boys say. He loves more be lonely not doing fun with snow but he hoped he would be doing great. He looked around everyone one find some new friends he wasn't sure about that he would be find a good friend here.

Linden didnt know what he had expected hwen he had joined the brotherhood. so when a message had cometo him saying that there was goingto be a snowball fight today he was part supprised but part not. he put on his winter coat and boots and made his way to the lawn. there were a lot of boys around some he recognised such as henry his friend from slytherin, and the club leader and his dorm mate lucas. as the as they were waiting for game to begin he started gathering snow. and making snowballs ready to throw. he could tell that some of the older boys knew eath other and there was some good-natured rivalry. between the teams. as one of the boys shouted go gryffinpuff he clapped he vaguely recognised him as someone who had been talking to willow the other day possibly in the same year as her. he hoped the older students would not be too rough at least not against he first years. some of them looked big enough to be able to do some real hurt. with a snowball even if they didn't mean to. maybe it would be better for him to build a barror to hide behind instead of snowballs. but it was too late now he was sure it would be starting soon.

Tyler had bundled up after seeing the note on the door of the Brotherhood clubroom, as he knew it would be pretty cold outside in the snow. He headed out to the spot the note had indicated, which was easy to find as many boys were gathered around their new president. Tyler would have preferred Blake be picked as Brotherhood president or something, it wasn't like he was that much younger. This Hufflepuff hardly seemed to know what he was doing, and Tyler didn't have much faith in him. But he did have to admit that this was a pretty fun idea. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and waited for anything to actually begin. He was glad he was on the same team as Blake, though it was also the same team as Jasper. Oh well, maybe he could 'accidentally' throw a snowball at him later.

Jasper had been tempted to skip the Brotherhood meeting when he'd seen the snow outside, but it seemed like the president had a good idea. They were going to have the meeting in the snow, which was great. Jasper rushed outside, grinning as he approached the other boys in the brotherhood. He moved over to Mordred and copied his idea, making a snowball to prepare for when they were going to start. "Wanna work together?" He asked his teammate. He had the feeling he needed backup even within his own team with Blake and Tyler in the mix.

@Mordred Cavanaugh

Lucas had been excited to see what the Brotherhood club room looked like, and had actually been a little disappointed to see that they wouldn't be having the meeting there. But a snowball fight was definitely a fun idea, and Lucas made his way outside to find his fellow brotherhood members. The president talked to them all and explained what they were going to do. Lucas was excited, but also glad about the blanket he could sit on if he didn't want to participate for a little while. He stood near Linden, who was one of the few people he knew here. He waited for it to begin, glad that their team seemed to have plenty of strong looking older boys in it. Lucas wondered if he could hide behind any of them.

Abian watched the other boys' reactions, hoping they would approve of this idea. It was his first act as president, and if they all hated it he might have a bit of trouble running the club. He grinned at the younger Slytherin who told him it would be fun. "Thanks Daintree." He said, feeling slightly more confident now. He beamed as Jacob also said it was a great idea, and felt his cheeks heat up at this particular compliment. He was dating Emily, but he still couldn't help but enjoy any attention Jacob gave him. "Thanks, Jacob." He said, looking away. He hoped his pink cheeks would be attributed to the cold. As it seemed like everyone was here and everyone was ready, Abian clapped in his hands again. "Alright, I'll count down and then we'll start. Three... two... one... go!" He jumped back a little, grabbing a snowball he had already prepared. He threw it at the head boy, the first person he saw nearby really. He hoped that wouldn't come back to bite him.

@Simon Vanity

Mordred felt like casting Impervius was a cop-out. The whole point was to get wet! Well, he hoped this meeting was going to be fun for everyone. Mordred did not have anything against Abian, but he felt like attacking the leader. However, he had a different idea. "Let's pick on Blake and Tyler!" he whispered to Jasper. He was not going to go after them now, so he just threw the snowball he'd made in a random direction before running to find somewhere for cover.
@Aonghas Fergusson

Simon was ready for it, well, a little, when the fight got started he certainly wasn't as ready as he thought since the snowball thrown at him, hit him square on the shoulder. Simon ducked for any cover he could find and just grabbed some snow made a little snowball and threw it back towards the leader of the club. He didn't throw it hard, just enough to make the distance and just hopefully hit the boy. He needed to get back at him before he thought about throwing one at anyone else.
@Abian Hunter

Derek moved immediately in the countdown. He got himself some snow made a snowball, and just threw it immediately. He had to admit there was certainly some childish fun to be had. he was sure that eventually he'd get bored or cold and he'd stop playing but there were the blankets for exactly that, and Derek knew he'd take advantage of that. The slytherin looked towards the arc of his snowball, and spotted that it was heading right towards Jacob.
@Jacob Kingsley

Aonghas saw a snowball coming towards him and was able to quickly dodge out of the way of it. He scooped up some snow and made it into a good shaped snowball, there was maybe no time to spare on doing this, but he didn't think it a bad snow ball would work as well as a good snowball. Aonghas when happy with it was quick to launch it off towards the slytherins and the ravenclaws, not really aiming for anyone in particular, he didn't really know enough of them to pick. He didn't even watch if it would land, instead getting more snow and preparing another snow ball.
@Henry Addams

Noel thought it was nice to be back at the brotherhood he liked most of the people there and there was no Eric so no one could ruin things or the fun. He listened to Abian as he went outside where the meeting was hold this time, because there was snow! Snowball fight it was! Noel grinned to Sully as he looked to the people around him, that would be great fun. The teams were Hufflepuff and Gryffindor against Ravenclaw and Slytherin and Noel was just glad to be with Gryffindors. But it was sad not being with Dainstree, he liked the boy. But now he could rub a snowball in his face. Noel smiled to Jacob who seemed to be excited as well. '' Yeah go Gryff and Puff!!'' He than said with a grin. When Abian counted and they could Noel runned and made a snowball to threw it to the first person he crossed. He than noticed it was Dainstree who he threw it at. @Daintree Vaskevold

Daintree was pleased that the leader of the brotherhood appeared to know his name. That was a good thing. He liked to think it was more towards the fact that the other boy knew who he was and less about the fact that a leader might want to know who everyone was. He looked towards Sully and greeted the other boy when he arrived. He laughed lightly at the taunt, "You'll eat your words Sully," he considered Sully to be one of his closest friends, but right now, he was more focused upon winning. So when the leader counted down, Daintree was posed ready. He grabbed a handful of snow and made a quick snowball from it before launching it directly at Sully. Only just managing the get out of the way of the snowball that came from him from Noel.
@Solomon Tofilau

Ajaccio was so ready to get started, so much so he was bouncing on his feet. He listened to the countdown and immediately grabbed some snow. He took care to make it into a proper snow ball, and only then did he launch it at the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors. He didn't know the others in this club well enough. Ajaccio knew he'd have to fix that later, but for now, he just marvelled and watched his own snowball go through the air and aim straight for a much older boy.
