It's time for another bi-weekly update. Can you believe we're already in November? 
The year is almost up! But, we've definitely got a lot going on here and more planned before the end of the year, so take a seat and catch up on the latest goings-on. 
Week 3 already?!
Yep, you read that right. Starting on Monday, we're heading into week 3 of lessons. We hope you've been keeping up. If you haven't, get to it students. Right now, it's anyone's game in house points.
Speaking of lessons...
If you missed last update's announcements, yes, the gradebook is back apart from a few key functions. Please take a look at the last BWU for details. As for the notification of lessons, we are doing that through a notification system in the Entrance Hall forum area. In order to keep it up to date, we continue to ask professors to be on task with posting their lessons as close to the scheduled date as possible. Let us know if you need help! Professors, if you haven't already, please check out the meeting in the professor's area. Thanks!
Start of year stuff
With the start of year, there's plenty to do around the castle. You are encouraged to have your students and/or staff join the start of year feast, to join your house meeting or the club fair with your students. These are all great ways to begin development for your characters for this school year.
Holiday areas =Closed
You read that right. The holiday areas are now closed to students. But, don't worry, Brightstone will be opening soon for some more out of school fun!
Quidditch, Quidditch, Quidditch?
Three games are set for this IC year, but one of those games can only happen if Beauxbatons has a full team so you are encouraged to head to those tryouts and help out. The first game, Hufflepuff vs Slytherin is already underway. Why not watch from the stands if you're not participating? And don't forget: OOC conversation should be happening in the topic here.

The posts for next year's yearbook are now up for you to begin posting your character's photos. Please make sure that you read the instructions prior to posting. Don't risk being just a name at the bottom of the page! Make sure you get your photos posted now!
An important note on Apps
All applications are now up and running normally. As it was on the old site, not all applications are accepted year round. For example, professor and shop applications are only accepted when there are openings, and certain applications like MoM only go up when we need them, but they are all ready. Also as we did on the old site, we will periodically close applications, to align with site activities and our own real life schedules.. For that reason, we ask that you check this space prior to submitting an application. If the app that you are hoping to appear does not appear on this list, it is not being accepted. If you decide to submit it anyway, it will be automagically rejected. We ask for your cooperation. Site information is still in the process of being updated to better reflect how things work on the current site, so please be patient with us. This is still a very busy time for staff.
