Since this club isn't official everyone is allowed to join the fun! The more the merrier. This means all year, Professors too if they are in need of some Christmas cards.

Emily found it hard to prepare for these events alone. She couldn't find anyone to duo these events with her and thus she was doing them alone this year. ''Welcome everyone to the first activity of this year of the new and revived Conglomerated Arts club’Emily looked around and was pleasantly surprised to see some new faces. ‘’I am Emily the leader of this club, for the returning members welcome back and for the new members a very warm welcome from the whole group!’’ It was weird doing this alone, but it also felt good somehow. ''I am in in charge of this club, which means you can come and ask us if you need anything.’’ Emily hoped that was enough for formalities and went on to explain the activity.

‘’Today we are going to create our own Christmas Cards or Yule Ball invitations.’’ Emily knew how hard it could be to ask someone you liked to the ball. ''This is the time to make something beautiful, to ask your date out or make a nice card for your family.'' The tables were littered with different materials and Emily was sure that there was something for everyone. She had also brought a bunch of ready made cards so people could also pick one of those. ''On the table in the corner are pre-made cards, so you only have to decorate and write your message into them'' Emily was sure there was nothing more to say and thus she ended her little speech.

''The elves have brought hot chocolate and cookies for us, so enjoy your snacks and make some beautiful cards'' Emily smiled and walked towards the table to make a card herself.

Tyler wasn't a member of the arts club, nor did he want to be. But the person running it was someone he rather liked, so he decided to hang around at the event anyway and at least pretend to be interested in the cards. He wanted to spend a bit more time with Emily, and hoped he could chat with her if she wasn't too busy. How hard could it really be to make some cards, anyway? He lingered near the door of the arts room as the event started, leaning against the wall as he listened to Emily address the club and explain the event. After she was finished, Tyler walked past one of the tables, grabbed a ready made card and then headed over to Emily with a slight smile. He put the card on the table in front of her, a teasing grin on his face. "Do I get a prize for fastest card ever made?" He joked, though it was obvious that this one wasn't made by him. He knew she would see right through him, but that was part of the fun.

Pasting glittery pieces of cardboard onto other pieces of cardboard hadn't really been the reason Aisa had joined the arts club, and she was reconsidering her membership as she listened to the Ravenclaw girl in charge. Sure, making Christmas cards was nice, if you were six years old, but it seemed rather pointless to Aisa. She had hoped for more music related things in the club, but so far that hadn't really been the case. Aisa decided in the end to make a simple card for Adorah, though her artistic skills weren't that great. She hoped the Ravenclaw wouldn't mind that the people she drew were stick figures. She drowned the drawing in some glitter to disguise that fact, but only ended up making her card uglier. Aisa frowned at the mess, not sure if she could even present this to Adorah in an ironic way at this point. Maybe she should give it to Abian, he'd probably be happy with it.

Weston had been looking forward to the Conglomerated Arts Club ever since finding its corresponding room. Any club named after a room filled with magical instruments and art supplies had to be pretty awesome. So he'd taken extra care to make sure he was on time for the first meeting. It took a considerable amount of willpower not to immediately head over to the instruments in the corner, but he forced himself to listen to the club leader explain the day's activities. Making cards sounded like it could be fun, and if he could do that while eating cookies, even better.

After grabbing some paper, a handful of magical color-changing markers, and a plate of cookies, Weston chose a seat near the center of the room. He didn't see anyone he knew, but hopefully some of his friends would turn up. In the meantime, he'd get started on his cards. There were a long list of people he wanted to give cards to, mostly because he considered everyone he'd ever met a friend. He decided to start with his roommates, and he picked out a magical marker and started to draw a misshapen eagle. It came out rainbow-colored, but hopefully Bran or Eoin would able to figure out what it was. They were smart. He picked out another marker and started to doodle a Santa hat and some sunglasses for the rainbow Ravenclaw eagle.

Juniper had seen the ads for the card making event and wondered what it would be all about, especially since she had been spending more time in the conglomerated arts room lately. She wasn't sure how intense people would be into making the cards look beautiful, and to be honest, while she enjoyed crafting clothes, she couldn't think of the last time she sat down to make someone a card, holiday or not. Her parents sent out printed photo cards to everyone they knew, and she wasn't really a card person herself. But today, maybe she would embrace the craft. As she entered to listened to the girl who said she was the leader speak about their task for the day. Seemed simple enough. She didn't see anybody at first to chat with and took it as an opportunity to speak to the club leader as she went up to grab supplies. "Cool idea," she said with a smile as she picked up some blue and silver glitter. "It's something so simple but fun that can be a good distraction from studying for once." @Emily Underwood

Emily was glad most people were enjoying the event. It was hard to please all, arts were so broad and Emily only had experience with the crafts side. She couldn’t play an instrument to safe her life and although she was decent at cooking and baking, she was still a painter by heart. Pleasing everyone had been though as nails and Emily was still sure not everyone was liking this type of event.

Having been so busy with explaining the event and helping everyone she hadn’t noticed Tyler walking in. Only when he was standing close to her she felt the feeling of warmth creep up on her.
‘Yes, because its you, you get an outstanding for it’’ Emily said jokingly, pretty sure he had just grabbed one of the ones she had made before the event. ‘’Didn’t know you liked Arts’’ Emily asked Tyler.

Next to her a Gryffindor girl was trying to make her own card. Emily complimented he
r. ‘’It shouldn’t be about how it looks; it should be about the message it conveys’’ Emily said to the girl. This event was busy and someone came up to her and told her that the event was a good distraction from studying. ‘’Thanks, it is seriously relaxing to create and make something’’ She responded. ‘’Making cards for other always feels so nice’’ People appreciated the message and Emily had been doing this since she was allowed to use glue.

Aisa was about to throw out the miserable card she had made, but was distracted as the leader of the club was next to her and apparently flirting with some guy. Aisa looked up as she spoke to her, then glanced back at her card. "Thanks for confirming it's hideous." She said dryly, then she crumpled it up and tossed it to the side. She grabbed some new cardstock, but didn't do anything just yet. Maybe she should just write something down, rather than try to be artsy.

Lucas had signed up for the arts club because it sounded like fun, not because he was especially good at art. He liked the event they were doing today, which was pretty fun and pretty useful. Lucas realized he could probably make a lot of cards and make his friends happy. He would make one for Kas, Connor, Alexander, Casper... maybe more of his roommates if he had time. He looked at the examples the president had provided for them, then got to work. The first one he was making was for Kas, though he knew the other boy would probably say it was silly. He decided to make a snowman with a Hufflepuff scarf and a grumpy face. It seemed fitting for Kas.

The thing with the Conglomerated Arts Club was that, it being conglomerated and all, was Sawyer never know what kind of craft or creative outlet they'd be messing around with for any given event. As much as Sawyer would prefer music all the time, he did enjoy the spontaneity, and something about working in a room with glitter and cardstock everywhere just sort of made Sawyer feel a little less homesick. Checking around the room for Theia, Sawyer grabbed a spot at a table near a Hufflepuff he recognized from their Quidditch team, giving him a quick smile hello before trying to arrange some construction paper into vague shapes on the front of his card. It seemed easier than drawing anything, though Sawyer wasn't sure what he was going for here. "Do you think there's a way I can rig this up to spit glitter out when it's opened?" Sawyer wondered aloud to the Hufflepuff, opening and closing his card speculatively. @Lucas Fletcher

Sydney didn't exactly have a lot of festive spirit on the best of days, but she especially wasn't feeling this year. She was still in staunch support of the arts club and any chance at the school for students to freely express themselves, but she would have preferred to not have to express herself around the likes of people like Tyler Lee. Sitting across the room, blank card in front of her, Sydney glowered as Tyler talked to Emily Underwood. That had to be it, he was just here to sniff around Emily, so typical. Sourly, Sydney turned to look at her card, trying to decide if anyone was worth putting effort into making one for. Unable to come up with an answer yet, Sydney instead focused on trying to write some sort of catchy yuletide poem for the card. It'd be a good test of her writing skills if she could write something festive while she was feeling so dour.

After successfully joining the Hogwarts Monthly last year, Estella wanted to join another club in hopes that she could meet some more new people. It had been fun being a part of something, and whilst the next club she had in mind wasn't as popular as the others, the idea of it was interesting, and she was keen to try it out and see what it was like. The Hufflepuff made her way to the Conglomerated Arts Room and looked around the room. It was definitely more than just arts and crafts that the club focused on. There was a piano in the room, and perhaps this meant that they might be learning some new instruments which Estella couldn't help but be nervous for.

As Estella sat down and listened to the older Ravenclaw girl speak, she was relieved that they weren't going to be playing with any instruments, and instead would just be making Christmas cards. It was a simple idea, similar to an activity that the Heta Omega girls did last year, and Estella just nodded as she listened to the instructions and began. She had a pre-made card in front of her and just looked around the room for some inspiration on how to decorate it. When her eyes found Sawyer, the only person in the room that she knew, she instinctively made her way over to him. He was sitting next to an older Hufflepuff boy. "Hey!" Estella exclaimed, placing her pre-made card down in front of her as she looked over at what he was doing. "What's that you've got there?" She gestured to the construction paper, wondering where he was going with it.

Sawyer looked up, smiling when Essie sat down with him with her own card to work on. Essie was pretty and Sawyer had liked hanging out with her a few times, though his brain wasn't sure what to do with that information beyond reminding him to try and not act like an idiot if he could managed it. "Hey! So far it's mostly just random shapes," He admitted, holding up some red and green construction paper speculatively. "I'm trying to decide to focus on aesthetics or if I should aim for maximum chaos," He added, motioning to some glitter by way of explanation. @Estella Fuentes

The arts club was something Lars was very interested in, so when they had another event, he made sure to be there. The event was to make Christmas cards, which wasn't an activity he oftetn indulged in. He had rather hoped for a painting event, but it was still fun to be creative. And maybe he could paint on the card he was making too. That inspired him, and Lars grabbed a blank card and some paints. He knew who he wanted to make the card for, though he knew he couldn't tell anyone who it was. So Lars found a quiet corner in the classroom, far away from everyone and especially Tyler. The boy started painting a starry evening sky, dark blues and light blues and purples. He painted two small figures on the ground, looking up at the sky. They were entirely in shadow, unrecognizable. But clearly holding hands. Lars was focused on his work and almost forgot other people were here. He could only think about Blake, and how much he hoped the other boy would like this card. He hoped it wouldn't freak him out.

Casper was late. He knew he was late. But he was afraid to be here. He swallowed his nerves and eventually snuck into the meeting. He couldn't help but be drawn immediately to the cards, stepping around people quickly and quietly, looking over the supplies. Christmas cards? He could make one for his uncle Abner, his aunt and the twins, maybe send one to Asher... Casper bit his lip. And one for each of his roommates, of course, and one for Hunter too. He smiled, picking up a small stack of construction paper and hurrying over to an empty corner. He had plenty of paints and markers of his own, as he'd brought his own supplies, but he did go back for some scissors, glue, and glitter. He settled into his chair, pulling over the first piece of red paper and setting to work.

Estella didn't know if she liked the idea of random shapes. There was no rhythm to it and it wasn't really creative. Wasn't Sawyer meant to be a Ravenclaw? "Definitely aesthetics." Estella said, reaching over for some of her own pink construction paper. She didn't mind helping him and really thought that he needed it. "It needs a pattern to it, you know? Circles are fun, maybe circles." She drew out some neat circles and picked up the nearest pair of scissors before cutting it neatly on the lines. "Oh, and we can cut them different sizes too. I just think cutting too many different shapes could be a bit overwhelming, so personally I'm going to stick to circles." she told him as she continued to cut the circles, this time in different sizes as she said.

Iris had joined the Arts club on a bit of a whim, hoping it would be a club that had activities that could bring her closer to her brother. So far, that hadn't really happened, but she did enjoy the events they had had so far. Making Christmas cards was a fun idea, and Iris looked at all the examples with interest before deciding on what to make for herself. She noticed her roommate Juniper nearby, though she seemed busy talking to the girl in charge of the club. Iris waved at her, then found a seat and started making a card for her sister. She knew Emma would like one with a reindeer on it.

Freya didn't sign up for clubs as a rule, but she though that dropping in on an event and never being seen again sounded like fun. She'd never had anyone to make cards for and the idea was novel enough for her to try it out. She grinned as she heard a kid next to Lucas trying to make a glitter bomb. "You could make a packet out of tissue paper and then glue it to the card so it rips easily? Boom, sparkly confetti everywhere," she suggested as she drifted past in search of supplies. Freya was really hoping for some dried pasta so she could rock that kindergarten arts and crafts aesthetic, but she'd settle for glitter glue in a pinch. Maybe if she put it on in layers, she'd end up with some kind of glitter brick she could throw at somebody to ask them to the ball. Freya had no intention of actually asking anybody to the Yule Ball, but it was nice to have the option anyway.

Lucas looked up as a younger boy spoke to him. He grinned at the idea the boy proposed, and pondered it for a moment. "Probably, if you want whoever you're sending that to to hate you." He said with a laugh. "I'm pretty sure there's a glitter bomb for sale at Gambol and Jape's, so it has to be possible." He said with a small shrug. "I'm Lucas, by the way." A girl then spoke to the boy, and Lucas waved at her. He seemed to recognize her vaguely, and guessed she was in Hufflepuff. "Hey." He said to her. He worked on his card as the boy and girl talked, and smiled a bit. "I think you should go for maximum chaos." he told the boy. "I think you were onto something." He then spotted Freya, who seemed to agree with his statement. He waved at her and grinned.

Sawyer didn't think he really had an eye for aesthetics; he and Theia's room at home was mostly a mess of as many posters and clippings they could find of the various bands they liked just stuck to the wall, so he was willing to take Essie's word for what would make something look good. "Sure, that sounds nice," He said, deciding to copy Essie and drawing a few wobbly circles on his paper. They weren't as neat as hers, especially not after he'd started cutting them out, but he figured Dad wouldn't mind.

He glanced up from where he was cutting out circles as an older girl passed, pausing to consider her suggestion. It wouldn't be as dramatic as using magic, but it would certainly be a lot easier. "Thanks," He called to her as she passed. "My family shows affection in a very weird way," Sawyer said with a shrug and a smile, nodding hello when Lucas introduced himself. "I'm Sawyer," He added, mulling over Lucas' chaos suggestion. "The neater the card, the less expected the glitter," He offered, warming up to the idea and sliding the glitter a little closer to his work station. It'd be hard to do it without getting glitter all over himself too, but that was a sacrifice he was willing to make. @Estella Fuentes @Lucas Fletcher
